Each visit we make sure to visit Armstrong's. We had briefly heard that there were some major changes that took place. Upon arriving in June 2019, we were extremely surprised at the amazing renovation. The smell, the look, the clarity were so refreshing considering the previous condition. Props to all who had a hand in this amazing renovation. You can find all of your fishing needs here. The selection of lures is impeccable and almost endless. Clean restrooms, prices are very competitive and you can find some unique gift ideas as well.

We ended up with five Walleye to eat and numerous other fish we threw back. There was a point when everyone had a fish on the line at the same time. Captain Clark had the perfect balance of instruction and letting you learn. My daughter says he made an amateur feel like a pro. My three-year-old granddaughter was initially reluctant about going on the boat, but ended up loving it. Captain Clark allowed her to say when the speed was too fast for her comfort. We will definitely use his services again when we return to the beautiful Whitehall area. Fish tacos tonight!

We've boated with them many times in Florida and were recently invited to boat with them as they had a boat reserved from Grand Haven's Freedom location. Freedom Boat Club staff are phenomenal. I've noticed this from every Freedom location I've boated from. Grand Haven was no exception. Boats are clean. and in excellent condition. The membership concept makes a lot of sense if you enjoy boating but don't want all the costs and headaches of owning and maintaining a boat. The reciprocal arrangements puts the justification for membership over the top since you can literally boat anywhere Freedom Boat Club has a location subject of course to reciprocal rules which in my opinion are reasonable.

We have never been paddle boarding before but have always wanted to try it. Kelly was so kind and patient when we initially inquired about the rental process. We showed up for our appointment and she had everything ready to go. She made sure that our life jackets were on properly and did not skip a single step. Her instructions and demonstrations on how to actually use the paddle board were easy to follow and very thorough. She also made sure that we were comfortable with our paddle boards before leaving. I have never considered myself athletic by any means and am far from being in shape but thanks to the equipment she provided as well as amazing instructions and answering all of my questions I can say I mastered the paddle board in no time!
