The staff are helpful and polite and were very patient as my Mother trawled around the place looking for this specific rug she wanted - bit of a shame the rug only existed in her head and she only wanted one just like it, but the staff were continually obliging and steered her toward options that were as close to what she was looking for as possible. We ended up getting two dog bed cushions for a tenner also, because one can stay in my place and one in Mum's - we have shared custody of the dog. Yes, we're sad. But we've got a nice rug. Worth a visit and more choice than IKEA in rugs!

Really impressed with this newly opened branch of Martin Phillips…read more I moved into my house in earl 2015 and decided to invest in new carpet, initially I got my stairs and landing recarpeted, I visited their showroom on the Woodburn Road and the man I dealt with there was fantastic. The carpet is great and was installed and fitted to a really high standard. A couple of months later I decided to have my hallway and living room re floored with a wooden floor, again I went to Martin Phillips and the service was second to none, wouldn't go anywhere else!

I passed by on Wednesday 18th May on my way home from work....did a double take ....the rug I needed was in the window....5 minutes later the rug was rolled up, I had paid and was laughing with the staff who were exceptionally attentive and friendly. I bought my rug for £50 in The Bedlinen Warehouse - the same rug was £60 cheaper than B&Q who had also stopped stocking the colour I needed....need I say more??? I will be returning for cushions to complement the rug and wall art too....my bedrooms are next for a complete makeover....if I could give 10 STARS I would...Excellent value and Excellent customer service.

Of course it's in direct competition with the likes of Harry Corry and The Spinning Wheel, which are both nearby, but it does pull you in off the street with its bright window displays and offers. I called in looking for a gift to by my Mother in Law, what with her big recent house move and redecorating mission, and there were some nice bedding sets on sale and the staff were instantly determined to look after me and help me get what I needed. I didn't buy anything in the end, because I just couldn't quite see a set that would match what the Mother in Law was doing décor wise in her bedroom, but they really did have a wide choice available and at good prices.

(Some of the ex-demos can vary from tattered settees at knockdown prices to discounted 'as new') Staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable, and did not push accessories or after-care warranties as some of the tackier English-based sofa chains that have made inroads to the N.I. market. Delivery occured when promised, a great sofa for the price and feels very solid, should last a great many years!
