The rooms are simple, but nice and clean. The location is good as they are close to the beach. The staff is nice and the price is good. They may want to do something about the homeless man who tried talk to us numerous times during our stay.

First and foremost the location is absolutely amazing. You're literally minutes from the beach and that's walking.... Quick last minute trip up the coast and this place popped up. It's pet friendly which was nice. Affordable fee added for pets. The rates were good so it was a win win. You're hesitant to book something when there's not many review to go by. Well, we gave it a shot. The property isn't that big. Two building, one where the check in office is and another behind. Parking on site which makes it great. Right when we checked in, which we were able to check in early. The receptionist was a major doll. Very friendly and so sweet. Makes it more relaxed and easy to ask questions if needed. We were in the second building upstairs. Pretty much every room was occupied as it was the Fourth of July weekend. She mentioned that it had been renovated recently. First impression, for the price it was good. 2 queen bed with a tables and chairs for sitting. There's also a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Also a good amount of towels. It was actually pretty decent in size which our room was a connecting to next door. Even though it was somewhat renovated, there was still things that could have been updated. If you needed housekeeping, just let front desk know. The bed was actually quite comfortable. Location wise, it's off highway 1. It's probably 15 min from the 101. There's a Mexican restaurant literally across the street and liquor store next door. A park area about 2 minutes walk from the hotel if you have pet. Downtown Pismo was about a 10 minute drive. But the beach, literally down the street and you're on the sand. Downfall, the walls are pretty thin. We could hear the next door room talking and could tell you what they're watching just by hearing everything. Besides that, this place is great with location. Pricewise was very affordable and it's close to things. Front desk was the sweetest. Even our little fur ball Freddie Mercury was a hit. Would I stay here again, yes.

I came to Pismo Beach to hang out with some friends. I spent an hour looking for a hotel/motel to stay in because I'm very picky where I stay. I was a little reluctant at first because the location had very few reviews, but someone mentioned don't let that steer you away from booking a room for a stay, and he was right! (Mind you, I'm very picky with hotels/motels) There is plenty of parking on site although it's a little awkward. There was some minor cosmetic imperfections in my room, but not a big deal. This isn't a luxury hotel, but my room was still cute, so nice, clean and very comfortable. The bed was definitely comfortable as well. There are two restaurants within walking distance (one being directly across the street and the other being five minutes in the other direction) and I did go to the closer restaurant (Old Juan's Cantina) as recommended by two friends and because the restaurant had almost 1,000 reviews. The front desk person was friendly and explained the "house rules"...quiet time from 10pm to 7am, no smoking on premises (you will get charged a $100 if you were found smoking...I don't smoke, so I appreciated a non smoking property). I was a little worried that my neighbors would be noisy with how they closed their doors to their rooms after a certain time, but everyone was really good during quiet time! The bathroom has soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers for the shower for the people who don't want (or forgot) to travel with their own toiletries. The sink is placed outside the bathroom and has small hand towels and a small hand soap. I'd recommend future guests to leave reviews to help this hotel boutique after your stay here.

I my 2 boys and I stayed in 509 and my parents and sister stayed in 604. Each unit was a 1 bedroom condo with a couch that pulls out into a full sized bed (sheets and blanket are rolled up and kept in a garbage bag on the top shelf in the closet) in the living room and a full kitchen (pot, pan, plates and utensils for 4, also dish soap, sponge and dish drying rack, no dishwasher). Bathrooms include 4 bath towels, 2 hand and 2 face towels and also comes with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Location is great! It is located Pier Avenue (off of Hwy 1) and Air Park Dr in Oceano. It is directly across the street from the Oceano/Pismo State Beach Campground and Oceano Dunes Visitor's Center. We booked this place on Expedia, but you can book through various other hotel sites. It is a 5-7 minute walk to the Oceano beach and ATV rental facilities for the Oceano Sand Dunes, so if you are looking to play at the dunes, you can't beat this location! It is less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Pismo Beach and the Pismo Beach Pier. This resort is unique in that each unit is individually owned by someone (owners are only allowed to stay here for 88 days/year, no weekend or holidays, rent it out the rest of the time), so each unit is decorated differently and interior upkeep is done mainly by the owner as well. Therefore some units may be more remodeled or older than others. The on-site rental management office closes by 9pm, so if you are arriving later, then contact the office to make arrangements. Unit 509: located on the second floor and faces the parking lot and rental office. From the upstairs balcony, you can see the Elk's Lodge RV Parking and distantly behind would be the the Oceano Sand Dunes Beach, but it is blocked by the RV's and other buildings. Overall the interior is in decent condition, but the front door and jamb needs paint. The baseboards in the bathroom needs paint and caulking as the water tends to splash out after showering. The carpet in the bedroom is starting to wear and should be replaced soon. There are double sinks in the bathroom, so it makes getting ready in the morning routine and for bed easy. The first step of the stairs that leads up to the unit is a nailed price of wooden board versus concrete/stucco like the other steps. The best thing about this unit is the beach house theme decor which was very cute. The worst thing about this unit is that the wifi sucks inside and most of the time it doesn't work despite it showing 2-3 bars of signal. On the bed in the bedroom the wifi works a half the time, but nowhere else unless you are standing next to the front door or sitting outside in the balcony. Unit 604: located on the first floor facing Air Park Dr. Fortunately that road is not traveled on much so it is not noisy. This unit does not have any carpet, just laminate throughout. There is also only 1 sink in the bathroom and there are no towel holder for the hand towel. Upkeep in this unit is slightly better than the unit 509 that I was in, but the toilet flush lever did snap on the last night there (had a crack in it on arrival). The worst part of this room is that it is on the first floor, so you can hear the person walking around upstairs. The best part of this unit is that the wifi works great throughout the unit, so my kids wanted to spend more time in this unit while we're were there. Overall, this is a great place to stay due to the location, but also for the space and convenience of having a full kitchen. Not sure about during peak season, but for the time we went for Easter break for the kids, we paid less around $380 for 3 nights on 509 (basic condo) and around $418 for unit 604 (premium condo). I'm not really sure the difference between the basic and premium units as each one has its own plus and minuses. My pictures are from unit 509 that I stayed in.

However, during this recent visit, we did not feel welcomed. When my wife and I approached the front desk for check‑in, the older female employee working the reception (possibly named Debbie or starting with a "D") told us she had not called us yet, even though it was clearly our turn in line. I apologized and stepped back, and only a few seconds later she did not greet us instead up front asked if we had a reservation. From the beginning, her demeanor toward us felt unfriendly and dismissive. We had booked an Ocean View King with a patio, but we were assigned a fourth‑floor room on the east wing of the hotel with only a partial ocean view and a strong smell of urine. it turns out this area of the building are pet friendly. We returned to the front desk, waited again, and when she called us over with "What's up," I explained the issue. She was quiet for a moment, then reassigned us to the main building second‑floor room above the reception area and informed us that no patio rooms were available. Her behavior throughout the check‑in process was discouraging and made us feel unwelcome, which was disappointing--especially considering we spent over $850 for a two‑night stay. However, a part from this staff issue, Seacrest is a great place to stay, the complementary breakfast is great! but yes that one staff was not the greatest...

Unfortunately, our stay was filled with several maintenance and service issues. The elevator felt unsafe, the doors opened before the elevator had fully reached the floor, which was concerning. About an hour after checking in, we went to the pool. There was only one other guest there, but the towel rack was completely empty. Thankfully, we had brought our own towels. A staff member later came out to restock them. The pool itself was okay, although there were quite a few bugs in the water. The jacuzzi looked like it needed maintenance or a fresh coat of paint because it appeared greenish-brown, and there were no umbrellas or shade available around the pool. When we returned to our room, our key card had stopped working. We had to call the front desk from my personal phone, and a staff member kindly brought us a new key. We appreciated his prompt help. However, after returning from dinner later that evening, our key card stopped working again. The room also needed better upkeep. The shower tub had visible stains that made it appear unclean. The ice machine on our floor was out of service, so we had to go to the lobby for ice. We also noticed curtain rods left on the floor, which made the hallway look unfinished and poorly maintained. The staff members we interacted with were courteous and helpful, especially the employee who restocked the pool towels and assisted us with our room keys. However, the number of maintenance issues and inconveniences made this stay disappointing. For the price we paid, we expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, we ran into several issues during our stay that made it difficult to feel the value matched the cost. While there were aspects that were disappointing, we did appreciate being able to check out late, and the pet-friendly accommodations were a definite plus. Those conveniences were helpful, but overall, the number of issues we encountered outweighed the positives.

I booked a room before reading reviews because it was part of the American Express "Hotel Collection." Usually, I don't worry about issues since they promote it. We stayed in room 205. I chose it because it was far from the elevator and on the opposite side of the street from the nightclub. Little did I know, we were actually right above the lobby kitchen. On our first morning, my wife said it sounded like they were doing maintenance because it was so loud, I was dead asleep! On the second night, we were woken around 5am to music so loud I could make out the words. At first, I thought, "maybe it's the bar across the street and they should be closing soon," since I thought it was still before 2am since the blinds were closed. I was wrong the music kept going. Eventually, I couldn't stand it anymore and got up, realizing it was almost 6am!!! I got up and followed the sound. Using the stairs next to my room, I found the music coming from inside the kitchen right below us. I went in and saw no one there! I went around the building through the front door and found no one there, I used the kitchen door by the lobby to see if I could spot an employee, but there was no one. When I turned back towards the lobby, the front desk attendant was returning and asked if I needed help. I told him, "Yes, turn the music down! It's 6am!" I went back to my room, but I was already awake. I could still hear it, though not as loud. Management should do a better job of enforcing quiet hours; this should not be a free-for-all, especially as the price wasn't cheap. I will not be returning to this property. My wife said, "this is the loudest hotel we've ever stayed at!" We did enjoy the beach chairs, bikes and happy hour up on the roof. Bartender service up there, not so much. Not a good choice on a wedding anniversary trip.

The space at reception is bright, with a great minimal decor and plenty of light. There is a gym and a pool and many rooms on the lower level get a small patio with Adirondack chairs facing a fountain or the pool. There is a sweet cafe on the upper level and parking is good. Right off Fourth Street exit from 101 I cannot complain. Gas stations and shops are a couple of blocks away. My 76 year old self, accompanied by my husband, a stroke survivor using a wheeled walker, find the weird configuration of the building to be a challenge. ****See my notes and suggestions on the safety/ADA features below. If you enter on the rear parking lot level, there is a lengthy walk from the disabled parking spots. You have to enter through the second floor from the pool area or walk around the back near the dog/pet park where there is no sign, through a door using your key card to see the first floor. The third floor and fourth floor (lobby and snack shop) are also accessible by two elevators, referred to as the North and South elevators. We managed to get in thousands of steps just maneuvering the sign-free environment. Being the only one of us capable of carrying bags, I used up all my unsavory words in the first two hours. Thank goodness my husband is stable enough with his rollator walker to be able to sit in the room while I hiked my way around making observations about how to Hansel and Gretel my way back to him after pulling our gear out of the car. I really like our room which is on the ocean side of the second floor. (The entire hotel is east of the freeway, and on the hill overlooking the sea a bit.) Beds are nice, lights and charger plugs plentiful. There is a desk and a nice upholstered chair. I feel the room is clean. Closet and bathroom area are spacious. You will see iron, hairdryer, Keurig coffee setup and towels. No icky tiny soap bars but much cleaner dispensers for hand soap and lotion. Same for the shower with shampoo, body wash and conditioner. Seriously, I would choose the configuration of this very spacious room anywhere. We were in need of a shower chair for my husband and the desk had a fantastic maintenance man install one. The experience is good for the most part, but be sure to call them with safety questions if you are a caregver. I could have done my due diligence too. The bathroom has no grab bar for the low toilet. There is only one grab bar but it is at the opposite end from faucet and shower head. I have to either let my husband sit very low on the tub edge (this is not a walk-in shower) AND- the shower is enclosed only by a soft curtain- there is no shower door for added stability, either. So I would have to have my husband stand and hold the grab bar with two hands while I wash him - but there is nothing to grab onto with his wet hands... definite no!! I decided to have him sit on the toilet lid to wash with the nearby sink that is in the toilet area to avoid injury. I would rather have a secure bathroom to avoid incidents than a free ADA parking permit, Mr. Hilton. ****Notes to self and to you especially if you have a special needs elderly traveler: Call the hotel as soon as you decide to visit, and request the following: ---Ask for a room close to the elevators and not down a long corridor. ---Request ADA parking which is free if you have an ADA parking placard. (Even if you are not able to secure one of the 4 or so designated spaces you should benefit from that privilege. --/When you arrive, as the driver, walk around the property and if you were given any complicated room assignment vis a vis long corridors or distance to parking or elevators, change your room. This may not be possible if you haven't asked up front for a convenient location. ---Bring a shower chair. Be prepared to set up a secure bathing experience to avoid accidents. I get so frustrated that corporations like to sound ecologically responsible when they cut so many housekeeping jobs and tell you there are no daily services. Pffft we see you, Hiltons. If I gave you some useful information and avoided frustration and injury, my job is done. Three stars for Alyssa who is an amazing staff member and the maintenance worker.

Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant stay was overshadowed by an extremely disrespectful and upsetting encounter with a housekeeper named Mary L. I politely asked Mary if she could please provide tissues and toilet paper because these basic supplies had not been replenished in our room. Instead of simply helping me, she became confrontational and insisted that she had already left the supplies. When I told her that she had not, she then said that she remembered leaving the supplies in the room next door instead. She then handed me a box of tissues and two rolls of toilet paper in a very rude manner. I told her politely that I only needed one roll. She gave it to me with an extremely unpleasant attitude. As I was walking back into my room, I heard her loudly say, "What a fucking bitch." I was stunned. I have never been treated this way by a hotel employee, especially when I was simply requesting basic items that should have been available in my room. I am a senior citizen and a paying guest. I was not asking for anything unreasonable, and there was absolutely no justification for an employee to insult me in this manner. What made the situation even more concerning was that we had previously seen this same housekeeper entering rooms without knocking on more than one occasion. After being treated so aggressively, I became very uncomfortable knowing that she had access to guest rooms and, therefore, to guests' personal belongings. I immediately told my daughter what had happened. We were preparing to leave for Pismo Beach, and she encouraged me to report the situation to management because she was also concerned about our privacy and belongings. To be clear, this review is NOT about a missing roll of toilet paper. It is about basic respect, professionalism, privacy, and the way a paying guest was treated by an employee who has access to hotel rooms. Guests should not have to worry about being insulted for politely requesting supplies. They should also feel confident that their privacy will be respected when they are inside their rooms. I sincerely hope hotel management takes this complaint seriously and addresses this employee's conduct. Employees who interact with guests and have access to occupied rooms should be held to a high standard of professionalism and respect. This experience left me feeling humiliated, disrespected, and uncomfortable. Based on what happened, I would not recommend this hotel and would strongly encourage management to review what occurred and take appropriate action. If you are considering staying here, I hope management addresses these concerns so that other guests do not have a similar experience.
