They also provide a ton of advice regarding food, training tools, and anything else you could ever imagine. It's so nice how their classes are set like a gym membership. I can go to class 4 times a week, or just once if it's a busy time. Either way, I never feel like I'm lost or that things are too faced paced. I have loved getting to know the others in class, as everyone is so friendly and genuinely enjoys each other's dogs. Let's Train! also makes sure reactive, fearful, excited, and loud dogs are able to enjoy class and learn in the best way possible while also respecting others in class and making sure everyone is safe. They are so inclusive and have trainers that specialize in anything you could ever imagine.

We have had the pleasure of taking our fur baby, Max, to Let's Train. We had tried another trainer…read moreand didn't agree with their training methods. I called for a private training and we were so blessed to find John. John was so patient with Max (a mini dachshund who thinks he's a big dog.) His fear free methods of training put us at ease right away. Max went from being scared of John in our first training to wanting to please him very quickly. John spent time going over our concerns and provided us with the tools necessary to keep Max just a little calmer (which, if you know Max....is no easy feat.) John's post training emails included reviews of our training, handouts on what we talked about, and homework to work on. I recommend Let's Train to everyone. It's a joy to be able to loose leash walk my dog and be able to control situations quickly. Let's Train is the best!

The best thing I've ever done as a dog owner is invest in this training program. We have two pups,…read moreone a lab rescue, Amelia (3yo) and a rott mix rescue, Emmett (2 to). Our lab rescue was easy to train ourselves, but when we rescued the second pup we struggled with obedience. Quickly, the new pup taught the other some bad habits and we had lost most of the control in our home. This is a moment where you can try to insist you know what to do and can handle the responsibility you took on by yourself, or you can wise up and admit that you aren't a professional dog trainer and ask for help. We chose the latter. We have busy lifestyles, three kids going on four. Lots of activities and a social lifestyle. We chose the two week board and train for our rott mix, Emmett. It was a major investment and one I wish we had made sooner. It has changed our lives. This isn't to say we didn't have work to do, because you learn quickly that training is an everyday process for the rest of your dog's life. The difference is that Emmett now has a strong foundation and we were empowered with the skills to work with them and reinforce good behavior. Meal times are no longer spent worrying about if the dogs are counter surfing, instead they are laying calmly in their place in another room. Meal times are regulated and calm. They no longer run us over trying to rush outside in the morning. They get to enjoy being dogs and trust us as their owners. I am forever grateful for Mark, Rodney and Mika as their trainers. If you're struggling over the price, I promise you the quality of life you will get in return will be worth every single penny. We have loved the group train classes and I'm actually sitting outside waiting for Saturday's class as I write this. When I walked in I thought the trainers would judge me for not having control. Instead they are truly committed to helping you. Their support through the process has been a god send and if they see you or your dog struggling, they jump to step in and support you. It has been truly one of the best, encouraging and supportive programs and far exceeded any expectations we could have had coming into it. 10/10 recommend.

Called a few days in and they said he was doing great. Came back to them saying he was sick most of the time and so incredibly sickly that we had to take him to an emergency vet. She gave us antibiotics and pain meds due to an open wound on his testicle from the cleaning solution they use to clean the kennels. Took over a week for him to be able to sit down without yelping. We spoke to Rodney and Rachel about it and they were quick to get us in and out and be done with it. They wrote us a check for the $130 vet visit, only to have the check BOUNCE AND HAVE MY BANK CHARGE ME A FEE. Absolutely ridiculous. How embarrasing for them. Now we don't feel safe leaving our babe and will bever be back.

I am in the middle of my experience with Glass City K9. Maybe I should wait until the process is…read morefinished, but I've seen so much growth in both my pup AND myself so far that I feel compelled to comment right now. I did not choose a board and train because it was *kind of* out of my budget and I didn't think it was necessary; it would have been easier and I *could* have made it happen, but I chose not to. I chose the "silver plan." Essentially, the trainers train us, the owners, to train our own dogs. We are paying for them to pass on their expertise. Keep in mind that if, as an owner, one does not FOLLOW THROUGH with the plan as given by the trainers, the results will not be optimal. I am, by profession, a teacher. So when I am told to specifically follow a lesson plan with my dog every week, I follow the plan. Religiously. I have a husky. I'm told they don't like to listen. When I adopted her (rescue), she was pulling me so hard on the leash that I was falling over onto the pavement. She cause me to wreck a perfectly good pair of Silver jeans, and she tore my belly button piercing (it never healed... it hurt a LOT... I finally gave up and took it out). I was not a happy dog mom. I tried positive "treat training" and she learned every command quickly but would only comply if offered a treat. Well, by week three with GCK9, my girl was stopping at street intersections without being prompted. Why? Because I trained her to do so because I didn't want her to get smoked by a car. This wasn't even part of GCK9's lesson plans; I kinda just added it in because it naturally followed with what I was being told to train her to do. I LISTENED TO WHAT THE TRAINER SAID AND I DID EXACTLY THAT, then when it all worked and my girl was so proficient she was getting bored, I did some add ons. Folks, know this: YOU WILL GET OUT OF THIS PROGRAM NOT WHAT YOU PAID INTO IT, BUT WHAT YOU PUT INTO IT. As for the e-collar... if you're that worried about it, Google "shock collar vs e-collar" and start there. I can put my girl's e-collar in my hand at the level at which I typically train her (which is super low) and I can tell you this: My physical therapist has turned up the tens machine on me WAY higher than I've probably ever turned up the e-collar on my pup, and I wasn't wearing a double coat to buffer it... and I've never been hurt by a tens machine. At the current stage, I only need to actually use her e-collar about 50% of the time. She just knows what she is supposed to do, and she does it. At the end of the day, folks, so far I have to say that I believe that I have gotten more value out of this training than my pup has. Here is why: In a world where I have had to stop paying attention to the news because I feel as if everything has spun into such utter chaos that it has caused me to up my meds and increase the number of mental health therapy sessions I have every month (depression and generalized anxiety disorder), training my beautiful dog has given me a sense of purpose and made me feel as if there is something among the chaos that I can actually control. I now wish that I'd have trained a dog before I'd had human children, because it would have made me a more patient, loving, and firm disciplinarian. My 9-year-old son is benefitting because he is following my lead and also taking responsibility for our dog's training, which is teaching HIM to be a better human being. If you do it right, your dog won't be the only one to change in a positive way; YOU will as well. I promise you that if you approach Glass City K9 with the right intention, attitude, and work ethic, you will have zero regrets.

I especially want to thank Mr. Dante Howard for his patience and good humor in working with me. Dante showed me over several weekly visits how to walk my pup without him pulling me along. I feel that Max and I have learned a lot about each other, thanks to Donte Howard and Supreme K9 Skool. I would recommend them to anyone who has a young rambunctious pup, or an older dog who needs some training. Sincerely, Robert Pardee

If you are looking for a great groomer, I would strongly recommend Sara from Pups Paradise! She takes the time to talk with our dog, reassure her (and us) and even gives her lavender massages, which relaxes her enough to settle down. Sara is compassionate, knowledgeable and very professional with her grooming techniques. Most importantly (to me, anyway), she loves dogs and she takes her time to make the dog (and owner) feel comfortable and not traumatized when getting groomed. She goes "above and beyond" AND her communication with the owner is fantastic. She texts updates and even sends before and after pictures and trouble areas if there are any.
