Eye examination perfect but after that it was dismally downhill…read more First complaint was I had asked if my own frames which were very expensive and still in good condition could be used. No problem was their reply and they were duly sent off. After almost two weeks I was informed that my frames still contained my original lenses as there had been an administrative error and had been returned to the store. Second complaint was that I had been promised that the new frames would be treated as a priority by the lab and the assistant manager would be phoning then on a daily basis and letting me know if there was going to be a delay. My new promised date was 10 days after sending then off. This date was consistently reinforced right up to the day I was to collect them. After undertaking a 60 round trip I was informed that they would not be in for another two days!!! To date I am still in limbo Definitely will not be going back to this dreadful store

However I've recently tried to switch to more natural and animal friendly options and those are not so easily found there, unless you have time to read and make some research in advance. They got rid of the Boots kiosks so it's bit harder to print your offers and it's forcing you to get the phone app or rely on the leaflets sent by post. You might also find yourself asked few times during your visit if you don't need any help, which - fair enough they make sure you get all you need, on the other side it can get a bit annoying - a good visibility of staff is more than enough for me in case I need a help to find something . That's right - find - as I don't really rely on their recommendation as they rarely know more than average customer about the products and its suitability to different needs. I just don't get these department stores - they have all the make up matching systems or specialists at each f the make up stands and yet - most of their customers are leaving slightly orange or off their natural shade? I do appreciate their little refreshment section with meal deal, which might get handy after few hours of shopping in town and needing to grab something quickly
