An angel in a doctor's coat. This woman saved my life. Literally. When a very unsympathetic and…read moredisbelieving jerk at SW Washington Medical Center's emergency room chided me as if I was just being silly, and it turned out that the jerk was wrong and that I was in serious danger, Dr Fox just happened to be on call. Something so horrible and scary that had been made worse by the nasty doctor was suddenly smoothed over as much as could be by Dr Fox's kind words and gentle touch, and she was the one the next day to come and personally check on me and just talk with me about all that had happened. After that night, she became my doctor and always, always talked straight while putting me at ease. I would see her again in a heartbeat if my insurance allowed or if I lived closer. Dr Fox is a special woman who happens to be a great doctor, too.

Dr. Fox is legit. I have not had an OBGYN that is as awesome as Dr. Fox. When I found out that I…read morewas pregnant for the third time after two miscarriages, I decided to switch doctors as the last OBGYN said "there is nothing much we could have done about preventing your losses". When I saw Dr. Fox during our first consult, she was incredibly compassionate and listened to every concern that I had. From a practical standpoint, she did help with my third pregnancy sticking and I had healthy baby. Dr. Fox is a low intervention physician and trusts that you are your own best advocate. However, she is not shy about giving you medical guidance but she is very much into allowing you be empowered through your pregnancy and birth. While she did not deliver my baby, she was on rotation while I was at the hospital postpartum where we thoroughly discussed how the birth was and recovery plans. She has performed many circumcisions on newborns and rumor has it, she is the best at it at the Family Birth Center. She is one of those doctors that I have the utmost respect for in terms of how she practices medicine, yet she is cool enough to go have a drink with. If you're looking for an awesome OB, look no further.

Was very happy with our birthing experience here. We came in hot and heavy and fully dilated at 3am in full contractions and in a panic and as soon as we walked through the door all the nurses were on top of things! They all kept calm and hurried me into a room and helped me deliver a very quick baby. I appreciated everyone keeping their cool and help me through things as it was too late for pain meds. After care was great too! Baby needed lots of monitoring and even though they came in ever 2 hours, they were super respectful and quiet. I look forward to coming back next time!

I'm 23 and never felt that before. And before she did it all the nurses including her were smiling to each other and acting suspicious and never looking at me at all. They were so quick to touching me naked that they just said things very short like I shoudve known what to do without them. The front desk lady also was screaming. At. Me. And I still don't know why... she was almost crying she was so uncomfortable talking to me. And I do not know her. After these visits I really feel uncomfortable going to the ER wich should be atleast ocomidating enough to let me find out if the docter is good enough. I'm scared to even walk thru the front door let alone get my blood drawn by a dirty needle. I hope this place steps up there game because the first step to a dying state is people in health care like you.

The Vancouver Clinic is just too big. If you want to feel like you're "just a number" instead of a…read moreperson, then this would be the right place for you. I thought Dr. Mahnke was nice enough, but getting in to see her was a nightmare. Her schedule was full as soon as it became available and I discovered after I decided to stop seeing her that it's because she only works part time. A part time schedule that's also divided between two different locations, so she's basically only in a particular office one day a week. Our biggest issue was the wait time - over 40 minutes to see the physician EVERY TIME we had an appointment. Twice with Dr. Mahnke and once with a midwife (had to see her because Dr. Mahnke's schedule was too full). My husband had to leave to return to work before the appointments even started! We were offered an apology the first time we waited and waited and waited, but the most recent time we didn't even get a check-back from the nurse to say she was running behind. The receptionists at the Columbia Tech Center were less than friendly - example: excusing themselves to answer the general phone line while they're in the middle of helping you at their counter. My appointment scheduling was interrupted by someone calling in to do the same. So, apparently you're better off calling instead of doing so in person.... All of that hassle for a doctor that's almost certain NOT to be on call when you deliver? No thanks.
