After building a long term relationship with my former bank, I was disappointed that I needed to find explore other options. I wanted something local with branch offices, competitive rates and full range of financial services. Kemba fulfills those needs and then some. I spent a lot time researching several financial services options ... big commercial banks, regional banks and credit unions, including the online banking service that took over my former bank. Kemba, as a credit union, offers much better interest rates than many competitors. They offered a wide range of financial services, including an option to transfer my Health Savings Account from another third party. Their customer service has been stellar, informative and very responsive. Since I had not looked for a new financial institution in years, I had a ton of questions. The bank officer I worked with was very patient with all my questions. When I asked things that stumped her, she researched available product options. The move from my old bank to Kemba has gone smoothly. I definitely and proud to be a member of the Kemba family.

There's one person in particular named Megan Sharp that appears to be a higher up there and she is one that absolutely will not return calls. At one point we were leaving messages and not getting a response and found out later she had been off on leave, but never updated her voicemail to advise people calling in of this nor did she provide an alternative person to talk to in lieu of her absence. I do not recommend this company at all.

They're located in a typical Grandview strip mall off of 5th, and at first glance, it appeared closed. No one was at the front desk, and the door was locked. A young lady came from the back to let me in, and when I explained my situation, directed me to one of the desks. The agent himself was out of the office, but there were several casually dressed employees sitting at desks. The office itself was pretty sparse in appearance, beyond the Allstate logo on one wall. The young man who helped me transfer my policy was polite and friendly enough, though it took quite a while to switch the policy since it doesn't seem to be something that they do often in this office. Although the transaction itself went smoothly, I was a little turned off by the casual atmosphere expressed by the employees as well as the sparseness of the office. I'm not sure if they've recently moved to this office, but it all seemed a little odd to me, especially the locking of the front door.
