Worst medical practice I've experienced in 45 years. Avoid at all costs…read more Nothing good to say about this place. I waited three hours on my first visit and left without seeing the doctor. Second visit: two and a half hours waiting. I only stayed for blood work results. I specifically requested (multiple times) an estradiol test and gave them a list. They skipped it, claiming it's "only for women." That's completely false -- I've had this test done for years without issue. They're incompetent, force unnecessary doctor visits even when they mess up basic orders, and waste everyone's time. Do not trust these people with your health. Save your time and money -- go anywhere else.

My time with Dr. Rodriguez was about 22 minutes of which 5 minutes was spent on my visit. I complained to my insurance company and they took some action, but no one ever stated what sort of action. I recorded my visit with this doctor, if anyone wants to hear it. So I gave this doctor a second opportunity and on my second visit, I waited an hour again, not including the hour I arrived early. I told the teenagers at the front desk that this was an excessive waiting time and I left. I had called, emailed a number of times wanting a copy of my medical file and no one ever responded. It wasn't until I got my health insurance involved to mediate the pick up of my record that I finally got it. I will be filing a complaint with OPMC (Office Professional Medical Conduct).

It's people like you who make others, who are vulnerable and seeking help, lose hope. If I could give Priska Imberti negative stars I would. I attempted to contact CRECER for over a year and a half desperately looking for services for myself and my family (it's not easy to find bilingual mental health). I called dozens of times, left messages with various people, and even showed up to the address listed and waited 60 mins to speak to someone (nope, no front desk person). It never happened. Priska is a joke. I spoke to her twice on the phone. She took down my full name, my date of birth and my insurance information, with a promise that she would contact me to let me know if my insurance was covered. Priska asked me one question "is this immigration related?" I answered "no," and she quickly rushed me off the phone. Over a year later and I have never heard back. Crecer did not answer my calls or return my messages. Priska you should be damn ASHAMED of yourself. You are a snob. The least you could freaking do, is be honest and recommend someone else or somewhere else.

I don't usually write reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience. My visit here was really…read moredisappointing. From the moment I walked in, the environment didn't feel clean or well-maintained to me. The waiting area looked disorganized, and it immediately made me uncomfortable. I felt rushed and brushed off. I tried explaining my symptoms, but the doctor seemed distracted and uninterested, barely making eye contact. The explanations I received felt vague and unhelpful, and I never got the sense that there was any real effort to understand what I was going through. For something as serious and personal as neurological concerns, that lack of attention was extremely discouraging. Overall, I didn't feel respected, supported, or cared for at all. With something as serious as neurological issues, I expected a much more attentive and professional experience. I won't be returning.

I had an awful experience with Neuropsychological Services of Astoria today. After waiting for…read moremonths for an appointment for my child (during which I had to call to check in about when my appointment would happen or no one would follow up with me), we finally got an appointment for 9 am. We were early and while we sat in the waiting area of the shared office space, both Dr. Hernandez and his assistant walked right past us with out greeting us or telling us what was going on. I didn't even know it was them. It was only after I inquired with another receptionist there who it turned out worked for the dental office there that I got any attention and they asked us to go back. At that point they told us that the person who was supposed to do the evaluation still wasn't there and they couldn't get in touch with him. After months of waiting, it was only yesterday that I learned that it would be a student administering the evaluation, which is not standard at most neuropsych evaluation places unless you're doing sliding scale - and even then, students must ethically be CLOSELY supervised in that process. Dr. H said he could start the evaluation today but he couldn't finish it because he's unfamiliar with parts of the test we were looking to have administered!!! I'm currently getting a doctorate in psychology at an APA accredited school and I've learned how to give a few of these evaluations so far (unfortunately not the ones I am seeking yet) and you cannot even ethically supervise a student to make sure they're administering correctly if you're not familiar with the test being administered! And just yesterday Dr. H told me that the student wouldn't write the interpretive report - that *he* would. Then today he said someone else on his staff would do it. I'm so thankful the student didn't show up because - of course you CAN write a report on a test you're unfamiliar with but will that person give an accurate and fair interpretation of what is happening? After sending an email to the practice stating the above, Dr. H responded that there's things I don't understand yet about the neuropsychological evaluation process and I expect that he'll respond to this review saying the same thing, but I have validated with a couple of faculty members, that for the psychologist who is supervising test administration and who will write a report to not be familiar with aspects of the test to not be familiar with the test does not say good things about a practice. Not only that, you won't get a truly nuanced or insightful report of what the test results are actually saying. For other parents who are trying to navigate issues with their kids, you should be aware that there are other places that take insurance and for the ones that don't, if you have good health insurance, many will pay for out-of-network evaluators at a rate of around 50-70%.
