I came here to eat today on 5/5/25, yes, Cinco de Mayo. I was pleasantly surprised and very blessed to be at this restaurant today! They have great service here! Dulce the owner is just as Sweet as her name! The restaurant was clean inside and out. It has a cute, festive decor, especially today as I was here on the 20th anniversary of the restaurant!!! Congratulations Dulce on 20 years for Dulce Margaritas restaurant!!! They brought me out water and free chips and salsa. I ordered a three tacos plate. The three meats I chose were steak, chicken, and Chorizo. All 3 tasted great! My first favorite is always steak, but wow was the Chorizo taco really tasty. They have a wonderful green salsa. The beans and rice were a good compliment to the tacos. Thank you Dulce for letting me celebrate 20 years with you on my first visit here! This day is unforgettable!!! We went for dinner on a week night. The staff was really nice and service was quick. Chips and salsa come out first. The chips are awesome! Crispy, layered, very good, and the salsa was nice. For dinner I had the 3 taco dinner (pastor). The tacos were very tasty, the corn tortillas were fresh, pastor had great flavor and the onion and cilantro garnish was fresh. The two salsas they brought with the dinner were great, one was hot, and the milder one was nice and tangy. My companion had fish tacos which she said were the best she has found in the area! Had to track down the server several times. When we finally placed the order we sat there for 45 mins waiting for the food. Two steak tacos - no rice and beans, one steak quesadilla no rice and beans, one taco salad, and one order I cannot share as the person ordered in Spanish. But I'm sure it was very quick prepare kind of stuff. We got chips and salsa, if you could call it that. I was surprised that they offered it, but now I realize it was because the food wouldn't be coming out anytime soon. I looked for the server several times to determine how much longer we would have to wait. It's coming, I was told. Meanwhile, the clock was ticking. It got to a point where I thought, well I think I'll have to ask her to give us to go containers because we won't be able to finish in restaurant. Then, it became clear that we would not be able to eat there at all as the time came when we simply had to leave. Had it been just me, I would have left without paying. That's just how bad it was. When we asked for the check, the food magically appeared, except for one order, the most important order. We asked for the to-go containers and mine was too small, but I just dumped what I could in it and called it. Still waiting for the one remaining order. Was told that the cook made a mistake on the steak quesadilla and made chicken instead. So we had to wait for that. It finally came and of course we had to box it up ourselves. The server apologized and I guess that's something. She offered us free guacamole when we came again. Not likely. Absolute Sh-t show. Never again. Oh, most importantly, the food was horrendous. I had a taco salad. How you mess it up is beyond me but they did. Flavorless threw it away. Just terrible. Just asked about the Steak quesadilla. Horrible. Such a shame read more

Cute and quaint place near our hotel. We're from out of town, and just needed something quick and easy. This was some of the best Mexican food we've had!! I've ate at this place a lot so this review is based on today interaction with the owner. Prior to this visit I will admit the food is good and the staff was always friendly. Today I was given a menu and the prices on the menu weren't updated. I ordered my food and I wasn't charged until they handed me my food. My final bill did not represent what was on the menu. I spoke with the owner and she offered to give me all my money back but I told her I just what yo be charged what the menu reflects. After that, she begins to place blame on me saying businesses should be able to increase they price and how the prices on the menu were the same since 2017. I tell her she should but as someone spending my money I should be informed about these price changes. She shows me a different menu and at the bottom of it in a blue sharpe that's partially scratched out prices subject to change. That was written on 1 menu and I explain to her that wasn't the menu that was handed to me. She continue to exercise her frustration blaming me for her mishap. If she would of took the time to explain the prices have changed or took the time to update her menus or even took the time to write with a sharpie on each menu prices are subject to change I would of honored it. Most owners would apologize for something that is their fault. Not this one. And I want to remind everyone even though she offered to give me all my money back I still told her no, I wanted to pay what was reflected on the menu. Be careful when ordering here. But anyone who works for their money should be able to spend their money how they want with no judgment. This is a tiny Mexican restaurant on the corner of rt.45 and rt.120 by Walgreen's. I stumbled upon this place because I was on my way to class from work and my tummy was rumbling. So, I decided to stop by Subway. As I was walking into Subway, I saw Puerto Acapulco next door... with a daily special of $1 Tacos Tuesday! How could I pass?! So I decided to try it out. The second I walked in I was greeted by a very friendly lady who was telling me all about the best items on the menu. I asked if I could get the taco special for carry out and she was more than willing to do so. I ordered a chicken taco and a ground beef taco. They were a bit small but I got more than I paid for! I also ordered a tamale... everything was fantastic! The prices at Puerto Acapulco are all very reasonable and everything is cooked fresh to order. The restaurant itself could use some remodeling, but the food was so good I can overlook that! My wife and I have become regulars at Puerto Acapulco. We love the service, the friendly family staff, and of course, the food. Candy, the owner, is just wonderful! When our son turned one, we decided to use them to Cater his birthday party. Everyone, including our Au Pair (who is from Mexico), loved the food. Feeding over a hundred people can be a chore, and serving them food that stays delicious all day doubly so. Candy whipped up a delicious spread, and we really just gave her some suggestions on what we wanted, and let her take care of the rest. We are truly grateful to the staff of Puerto Acapulco for making our son's 1st birthday a tasty event! We love this Place!!!! read more

Location is hidden but I decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere is ok. It isn't spruced up and just a normal vibe. The food is very good. I like mole that is not on the sweet side but more on the spicy side (like it is served in Mexico). This place is it and the only place in Lake County where I've been able to find it this way. I would frequent this place for the mole alone! Two thumbs up! I've also tried their fish tacos and they are outstanding. Shrimp cocktail is also very good. I prefer larger shrimp but the taste is good. The chips are light and crispy. Outstanding! Please note that 1 serving of chips is included but additional is $1.50 extra. Well worth it.
