My husband like some of the other posters just spent 45 minutes on the phone trying to get service set up for the house we're moving into next week. And after all of that nonsense without a clear explanation he was told he'd have to go to a Washington Gas Office and bring in two forms of ID and a copy of document showing that we are moving into the house. Seriously????? And were the told there was some sort of "flag" with the house we're moving to and didn't have anything to do with us hence why we needed to show that we were moving there. I don't know what it is with the local utilities, there are others who names I won't mention on this review that have these other idiotic processes in places where communication isn't king. Update: I called myself a few hours later prepared to deal with more nonsense. Thankfully, I gave the gentleman my name, the address we were moving to, the date of service to start, and other pertinent data to verify I exist. No problems. In chatting with my husband later he said when he called it sounded like the lady he dealt with didn't know what she was doing and he strongly suspects she put in the wrong address. I'll probably provide another update once we move in to let you know if in fact we have service on our move in date. More to come but still these people haven't impressed me in the least so far. Update #2: Well the service was turned on and connected at the time we moved in so that was a plus (take that Verizon!) No major issues to date, I've heard horror stories on the news about their website and auto so I won't be opting for that. However, my husband is in charge of paying the gas bill but I got the mail first, I just noticed two things 1. my first name on the bill is spelled wrong and 2. I know I gave them my married name that's on file with Social Security and they still have the bill under my maiden name. I called customer service and now I need to send over my marriage certificate and my new drivers license so they can update that. SMH...

I went to Roberts Oxygen to get a true 20 lb. propane tank for my new grill. Unlike most or all big box stores that only fill the tanks to 15 lbs., Roberts Oxygen fills the tanks to their 20 lb. capacity so you can keep on grilling all summer long. In addition to propane and propane accessories, yeah, kinda like that store on King of the Hill, Roberts Oxygen also specializes in other compressed gasses as well as relevant accessories. They also carry dry ice which really puts me in the mood for a Halloween party or shipping some delicious crabs to my friends in SoCal. The few people I interacted with at Roberts Oxygen were prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Roberts Oxygen is on the back side of a small industrial/business park. When you see Chesapeake Light Craft store, a wooden boat builder, head around back where you will find Robert's Oxygen. There aren't really marked parking spots back there so just park out of the way of the propane/oxygen cage and rollup entrance.

We wanted a slew of indoor and outdoor lights replaced and some new installs, along with three ceiling fan replacements. Took them two days, slightly faster than Geo's estimate of 2+ days. The lights they provided, all recessed, are not very expensive and and are very adjustable, from color to being able to aim them to the dimmers we asked for. The price was right. We got 1-2 other proposals and Geo's was not only by far the least expensive, the value was top notch as well. Cheapest is not always best; nor is the most expensive. I am happy to say that I've now got a go-to electrician forever. Highly recommend CGS for big jobs and small.
