I'd visited PAMA (how it's commonly known and on the signage) about 3 years ago for an event but haven't returned since - nor had I brought my kids until today. Pretty sad considering how great the facility is - and that I only live a few blocks from it. The Museum and Art Gallery are in separate buildings from each other but connected by a tunnel. It's truly magnificent throughout the entire facility by how they integrate the old stone structure with the new additions which are largely glass and allow a lot of natural light. The art gallery is the smaller of the two sections. The gallery has some beautiful pieces and a great exhibit at the time of writing - but it's fairly small. Downstairs they have two studios - almost multipurpose rooms. They often have daycamps for kids there. For example, during the current winter break, they've had a separate activity each day - with today's being to create a rose out of clay. My kids had a blast and the staff was very helpful and cheerful. The tunnel linking the sections serves as the photography exhibit. At my first visit, it was a bit more art-centered, and my visit today it was more historically-oriented. Both times were great and there were lots of great things that caught my attention. The museum is larger than the art gallery. The first level has a kids area - suited for ages 4-8 where they have a lot of interactive play and learn about food, transport, and other things. Just behind are a few cells remaining from the prison era which serve to highlight the conditions of the era, and some of the harsh realities and injustices as well. Upstairs shows old artifacts largely highlighting the area's agrarian roots. They keep kids involved where they can pretend to plant their own garden. There was a also a very impressive First Nations exhibit which had some interactive features. It should go without saying that PAMA is not out to compete with being a world-class Museum or art gallery. But considering it's scope as a suburban one, and that admission is only $5 for adults and even less for kids, I think it's phenomenal. Anyone near the area should visit it at least once, and even families outside of Peel but in the GTA should really consider making a day trip here - especially during school breaks when the art gallery is providing activities for kids. PAMA truly deserves to be featured on more "Places to take your kids..." GTA lists. Overall, very fun, inspiring and family friendly. Tip: free family passes available at Brampton Library - with the Four Corners branch only a couple blocks away.

Warning: spoilers ahead!…read more Agree with other reviewers, come early. It's open 7 to 10pm and we arrived at 7:20pm and had to stand in line out in the cold for an hour. The reason for the lineup is because they space ppl out so each group feels like they're by themselves and get fresh jump scares. Actual haunted house and haunted path is amazing, actors have great costumes makeup and props, path is very long and has many different buildings and themes. My bf was impressed by the fog and laser effect in one place with the actor crouching underneath and grabbing people's ankles. There was free popcorn from an unaffiliated business so that was nice. Only bathroom is a Porta potty. They charge $5 for each carnival add on and they are all pretty lame and should be bundled as all add ons for ten bucks or something. Luckily they were lax in checking tickets. (You get a single ticket from the lady at the entrance at the haunted house) In the middle part of the attraction you jump across the fence and the lady takes your ticket and grants you the Hellevator experience (disappointing because unlike what the trailer shows it doesn't go anywhere just rattles around with a voiceover) and the zombie paintball (they were broken, had to wait for repairs, and there were only 2 zombies popping our and you can't even see the impact of the paint) Just march over to the carnival area and no one will check for tickets. The museum of oddities is like 3 statues and 2 small shelves of stuff. The ax throwing is tossing axes at a wall of wood. The rest of the games are as described, very small scale. On the table there was a bowl with sticker packs of 3 promotional stickers for free so don't bother paying $6 for a sticker pack. All in all I paid just under $100 for 2 ppl and had a great time at this experience.

Another hot tip is to buy your ticket for a weekday at 7pm (earliest time) and arrive a little before it opens so you're one of the first to enter. That way you won't need to wait in those long lineups, at least for your first couple of haunted houses. Or just splurge for a front-of-line pass and go whenever you want. Your ticket includes entry to 7 haunted houses, each with a different theme, and the site has a fun show to enjoy ("The Kill Show") plus some rides, a booze lounge and food trucks. Honestly, I was impressed by 5 out of the 7 haunted houses (two were meh). A lot of the sets were really well done and quite creepy, and the actors were pretty good at coming out of nowhere and scaring the bejesus out of you. Try your best to lag well behind the people in front of you, otherwise you'll never get a truly good scare. The more crowded it is inside the haunted house, the less fun it is. IMHO this is way better than Legends of Horror at Casa Loma.

There were 4 streetcars. They ran in a circle to other areas of the park. The volunteers refurbished them to good repairs condition. Kudos to top results! Even though we came for the rail rides, we were blown away by the museum. So many ancient ones including some from early 1900's, the years around World War One. We were allowed to walk through some of the streetcars. I was glad to see an (old) advertisement to sell a detached house for CDN$69k near Toronto waterfront. LOL. Lots of space and picnic tables. Lots of parking available. The trains leave every half hour, and they run rain or shine. Only time they will stop the trains is if there is lightning/thunderstorms because it is too dangerous.

If you want to splurge and park a bit closer, there are a few metered spots available right in front of the museum. I highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online to ensure that you get the time you want. I would also look for discounts. I was able to snag a Groupon for this place and it saved me quiet a few bucks. The staff at the museum are awesome. They were very welcoming, friendly, courteous, and helpful. They gave us our space, but stepped in to explain an illusion when we were looking puzzled or stumped. On downfall of this place is that it is not very big. We went through the meusuem in about 40 minutes, and that was stretching it out. Some of our favorite illusions were the clone card table, the galaxy room, the human kaleidoscope, the Tilted Room, the Reverse Room, the Ames Room (shrinking room), the human potted plant, 3D art, the RGB screen, shadow box/flash screen, the Beuchet Chair Illusion, hollow face illusion, swap noses illusion, infinity ladder and various other illusions such as the Müller-Lyer illusion and illusory motion. The museum's couch illusion appears to be unique to this location and is featured. It has the person put part of their body in a hole in the couch and using a fake pair of legs, make it look like they are doing some impossible poses. This is a very nice museum that is a decent place to spend a little time. It is about 30 minutes or so outside of Toronto and my family really enjoyed taking photos there. I wish this place was bigger, but I still highly recommend checking this place out.

You are better off visiting a real museum whether it be Toronto over time Niagara Falls. And given the price being charged for admission, you'd think that they would be able to purchase a new watering can. Has no one noticed that the handle is missing/broken off? Not worth it. New pictures have been added and my review has been changed from a 5 to a 1 star. ***REVIEW FROM 11 MONTHS AGO BELOW*** Upon entering until exiting the staff at this establishment were welcoming, friendly and informative. Staff provided tips & tricks for photo ops. At first sign of confusion, they were quick to answer any queries. This little adventure made a great fun filled Sunday afternoon with my two kids. I should say that Gordan was/is extremely kid friendly, even did a little magic show for my kids and then told them the secret to it lol l am happily amazed with this place and will make sure to spread word of mouth of how incredible and great this place is. Price point is great especially for a family of 4; 2 adults and two children. I would give it a 10/10 but there was no option for it. Any day of the week, this is a fun activity, whether for kids or adults or both. Explore away.
