Best value for a truck stop breakfast on I-35 between MPLS and KC. Nothing special, but good food attentive servers and big-time value price. If you're kin a hurry , don't stop as it does take awhile sometimes, with a single cook and small cooktop. Give it a shot!. read more

Staff seemed nice and looked like a nice place if some work was put into upkeeping it and cleaning. The one star mainly comes from the bathroom. We were driving back to Ames from Minneapolis Sunday and although driving through farm country on I-35 is soothing and stunning, you do wonder where the next gas station is when your fuel empty light comes on. Luckily, the Latimer exit came up and a lone Dudley's Corner beckoned. What I like about Dudley's is that it's not a cookie-cutter joint. Inside, you'll find a nice local Iowa flavour, with a convenience store on your left and a cafe on your right. Under the Shell sign was a fellow traveler, perhaps on his way to the Hobo Convention in Britt. And soon enough we were back on the road, with another Midwest experience behind us and no doubt another Dairy Queen ahead of us. read more

Only went once as a rest stop and it was the grossest bathroom i've ever seen. It looked like it had not been cleaned in a year

This is a literal middle of nowhere station and we were desperate for fuel. Inside the shop/restaurant it smelled like a toilet backed up /sewer drain and they didn't fix it. Made me nauseous with the smell. The entire place is filthy. From disgusting floors to even worse coolers. The two employees just hanging out behind the counter could have gotten up and done some cleaning instead of just sitting around. Staff was nice, but apparently they don't clean. I only got gas and use the restroom. The restrooms were so nasty! I don't know about the restaurant quality because it was closed at 6:20pm while I was there. Which was a little disappointing. My daughter and I are traveling and we are quite hungry. However if the kitchen look like the rest of the place, I would not have wanted to eat there. Right when you walk in the door it smells like a toilet that hasn't been flushed for a while. Nasty! That's The only word I can think of to describe how dirty this place is. read more

There was a ok store there for kids and a c-store look. But the reason for the one star is the situation in the bathrooms. It was very very dirty. A little elbow grease and care by the two employees taking gas money would have made this much better. Just have pride in ur work I guess. I would want to know if this is my place. read more

My friend and I stopped in at Dudleys late in the evening to just pick up a little food. We found the food to be delightful the service was gracious and fast the prices were very fair and we ate paid left a nice tip smiled and moved on down the road! read more

If I could, I would give it a 0 star. Stopped there about 7:30pm to look at piece on our vehicle we had been monitoring and do to the bathroom. I walked into the veranda and knew it wasn't going to be good with how dark and dingy that was. I walked in and the smell of bathroom air freshener was enough to make you throw up. I turned to go to the bathroom, opened the door, and couldn't decide if going to the bathroom was safe or just waiting it out. I looked at stall number one and it had toilet paper and what looked like someone had just relieved themselves of #2. I went to the second, and last stall and I'm thinking that the #2 look from the first stall may have just been the discoloration and stain of the toilet bowl. I hovered and looked up and there was a hole in the ceiling between stalls, a little weird. Left the stall and looked in the corner and there was a fake plant with air freshener sticks (or what looked like it) stuck in the plant. The counter of the one sink was so worn out and dirty looking, as was the faucet handle. The soap wasn't scent which made me wonder if it was even soap. Went to dry hands and it was a filthy towel roller, I had no idea places still had those. I am sure the disgusted face I had on when waling out wasn't a surprise to the person working the counter. I walked out and told my husband to not go in. He looked at me and thought I was just being a girl and snooty about it, and again told him not to go in. He went in. We are farmers and it makes the barn bathroom look great and my husband said "if I think it is nasty and use my sleeve to open the door, you know it is bad" He wanted to grab a Red Bull but said he couldn't imagine how many mice have ran over them and avoided that. I cannot believe this place is open and people frequent it. I think the health department needs to make a pit stop here. read more

My grandma always taught me, don't judge a book by its cover. I remember the first time my boyfriend took me here. I walked inside and noticed it wasn't the cleanest, brightest, update gas station I'd ever been in. The convenience store is located to the left and on the right.. a cafe? I looked at my boyfriend like "this is not the place we are eating at for breakfast". I mean seriously?! This is a dirty old truck stop/gas station in the middle of nowhere. Well let me be the first to tell you, that was cheapest breakfast I've ever had! Not to mention just like grandma makes it, if grandma is from the Midwest. Greasy, delicious breakfast! I had two eggs over easy, ham, hash browns, two pieces of toast, and a cinnamon roll (I did not even come close to eating all of this). Total - under $4. Not even kidding. The cinnamon roll is huge, warm, and served with butter. The food is absolutely amazing and of course unhealthy, but it's ok to splurge every once in awhile. It's a neat place because everybody knows one another here. You have your neighbor, your grandma, a local farmer, and local police officers all having breakfast together. Everyone is friendly, everyone says hello. I even saw a state trooper serve coffee to all the customers one day because he noticed the waitress was busy. Now that's service. You must stop here for breakfast or lunch! (Which I have yet to try, but I'm sure it's great) read more

Best small town business/restaurant around!!! Cant find this everywhere, that's for sure! I cannot believe the comments people make, so I'd like to make a couple comments: yes, the soap in the women's is soap, no, mice don't run over the red bull, we sell so much red bull there isn't any in the warehouse touching the floor (and NO, we don't have mice), we have check ups like any other business, and continue to pass and fix any issues that may arise, the hole in the women's ceiling is from a old vent that has since been removed, there are changing stations in both shower rooms across the men's resteoom--just ask the cashier for a key, this is a family owned business, not a billion dollar franchise (which is how they can afford to fix every little issue), we have well water, which is why the water in the toilet is brown if not scrubbed with bleach every five minutes, our guests dirty the bathrooms, not the cashiers/cooks, so keep that in mind when you find yourself judging this place and think about how you sound.. I can read peoples faces as they walk out the bathroom, and little do they know we likely JUST got done cleaning the restrooms. Sadly, being on the interstate, HUNDREDS of people stop here to relieve themselves so keeping up with it can be difficult to do. Our locals are loyal, and know how hard this business works to keep it running. If only we had 24/7 maintenance/house keeping like most corporate gas stations do, we would be just like any other corporate station, BUT, we don't, so we do the best we can! read more
