Kevin is well meaning. He apparently wants to show his appetite to serve customers by working fast…read moreand anticipating what style the customer wants. However, he did want not take the time to stop and listen to me tell him how to cut my hair. By trying to show eagerness he came across dismissive. I don't really care about the style in the end and I got the impression he's only down for a basic cut anyway. So I let him proceed. Then he got out the high pressure air hose to get stray hairs off me after the cut was done. I've never seen anything like it in all the 15 countries I've had a haircut. Not only that, he was not careful in use of the high pressure hose and he momentarily blew it in my ear. If he's not careful this could affect someone's hearing. It could also force hair into the ear canal. Kevin clearly wants to please customers and may feel some vulnerability because he does not speak English well. I'd encourage him to learn the language so he doesn't have to go to other lengths to make up for it. This barbershop is not fit for use. Another thing, he became visibly upset with me, facial expressions and muttering and all, for pulling my face away and confirming he had the right length setting for the beard trip. Why didn't I trust him? His behavior up to that point, my observation he did not speak English well, and the look of the trimmer. It didn't look like it had a number 2 on it. Turns out it did. He'd understood me. It was a difficult circumstance overall and everything would improve with him slowing down, confirming everything everyone asks him to do before acting. And losing the high pressure hose. Has he no sense?

I said yes, and she said my barber was out sick and no one could see me until 2:30pm. I asked if someone could fit me in sooner and she said no. She was extremely rude and disrespectful. She said "I called you but your voicemail is full." If you have my phone number, text me. Or, since I booked online, you also have my email address, so email me. Or call me back to speak with me to let me know my appointment is canceled. The fact that she only called me once, didn't speak with me, and didn't follow up with a text ended up wasting an hour of time driving both ways. We have new ways to communicate - it's 2024, not 1992. I completely understand that people are out sick and miss work. What I don't understand is, when that happens, why she didn't take 30 seconds to text me or email me. Extremely unprofessional behavior.
