A remnant of days gone by. A hanger-on, with a firm grip on the past. They still use pen to paper registration slips, and you'll get a smile from the owner as you're filling it out. You, too, will smile when you see how reasonable the room rates are. My charge for the night was a mere $74 and change. Almost unheard of in these inflated times. My room was small and comfortable. I, being the only occupant, found it to be perfect for my needs. Stunningly clean and well-appointed. Your host, if asked, will steer you in the right direction for a delicious meal. And if that direction is toward the Mexican House restaurant, you're in for a real treat. Outstanding!! But you'll have to find out just how outstanding it is by reading my YELP for that establishment. Give White River your business. You will be helping preserve the past while providing memories for the future. Quick Tip: Having been built back in a time when people were more considerate, you may find that the walls are a might bit thin. These days, an unrestrained couple next door has the potential of keeping you entertained during the night, early morning, late morning, and if your stay includes it, early afternoon! Tiny home interior doors don't fit the openings so there's no privacy in the bedroom or bathroom. Not clean! The floor was filthy and there was hair throughout the home. The sauna didn't work. The wood deck needs stain. Everything looks neglected. The property is overgrown with weeds including around the picnic table areas. The tables are so beat up and weathered they had to be covered if used to avoid splinters. The perimeter of the property is covered in litter. The tiny home fee of $150/night was a rip off for the lack of care in cleaning and appointments. Our RV site was occupied when we arrived for the 3:00 checkin. We didn't take possession until 5:30 which was annoying. And I spent 10 minutes weeding the picnic area so it would be habitable and not such an eyesore to see. The communal bathrooms were soiled with remnants of diarrhea and there were hairballs all over the showers. One camper pulled his pickup out and spun out spewing dirt, rocks, and dust to those of us sitting outside. He also got on his atv and spun donuts in the campground streets. With no management on premises, there was no one with authority to deal with him. There isn't anyone in charge except the checkin receptionist for limited hours. This property is very poorly managed and nothing like the pictures used in the advertising. Too bad because the concept is cool and there is good potential for a special place.

If you are here to hunt or fish, this place has everything you need, and nothing you don't. Price is fair, has a bar/grill, coin laundry, and it is CLEAN. Rooms are slightly outdated, but the heater works, and shower is hot. The folks that run the place are very gracious, and I enjoyed talking to them. Super nice people. I stopped in here for a few nights, as I was done with 10 degree elk camp in my tent. This place is 2 stars generally speaking. But due to staff, clean, bar/grill, heater, and in a remote mountain community, it's 4 star. Yes I will gladly return!
