I got the resume revision service, and it was definitely valuable. The revisions I got back made some formatting changes that made my resume easier to read, which is important if you want yours to stand out from the rest. There were also suggestions on how to better organize my resume. What I found particularly helpful was that I received revisions from more than one person. It was nice to have a couple sets of eyes on it, especially from someone who was already established in a similar field as me. Many of the comments were on things that I wasn't even aware that I was doing. The comments they gave weren't just directed at how to make my resume easier to read and more organized, but they really focused on what would make ME stronger as a candidate. This meant that I had some areas of my resume that I could expand or improve on that would make me more likely to be picked for a position. Lo and behold there were more than 40 reviews proclaiming them to be a scam. Exactly what I expected (it's a cliche' but true: if it sounds too good to be true...). Sad that there are people out there preying on parents desperate to do right by their children's future. But that's the world we live in.
