They had specials along with some great items on the menu. We decided to have the terrine de foie gras, croquettes aux crevettes grises, entrecôte de bœuf with sauce au poivre and béarnaise, saucisse de Montbéliard aux lentilles, and crémèt de Beersel au fromage blanc de la maison Walschot for dessert. The foie gras paired beautifully with the dried fruit and almond. I also had it with the bread, which made it even better. It was so buttery and delicious. The croquettes were flavorful, perfectly crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare. Their béarnaise sauce was good, but the star of the show was definitely the pepper sauce. The béarnaise was perfect with the fries, and the pepper sauce was amazing with the steak. The sausage had an incredible smokey flavor and paired really well with the lentils. The dessert at the end was so light and fluffy. It was the perfect way to end the night.
The service was phenomenal from beginning to end. I don't speak a lick of Dutch or French, but the waiter's English was great. He made me feel at home. I will definitely be back again.
