Looks like they just opened about a month ago...and although they still seem to be working out a few bugs (things), the overall experience and food was decent. It's an inviting atmosphere with a trendy, contemporary design. They've definitely invested a lot of time, energy and $$$, attempting to separate El 124 into its own genre. The food overall was decent but unfortunately not exquisite...the menu was well thought out but perhaps we just didn't try their highlighted specialties. The sauce/dressing on our steak sandwiches was a bit odd...a little sweet and vinegary...but maybe they were shoot'en for that. My colleague's steak was "a little veiny" - his words. Our salads were decent however I'm not a fan of a Caesar salad being laid out and drizzled with dressing - id prefer the old fashion method of chopping and lightly tossing the salad etc...but that's just me. Al in all it's a very nice place. I do have one small tip however...if your an ex-pat, pass on the ice...I paid for it later that evening. :(. Haven't trained my immune just yet but it'll get there ;).

Once you arrive you pick a sheet of paper and write the food orders. Normally is Gorditas, stuffed quesadillas, or sopes (best I've ever tasted!). You have a visual menu (all dishes in front of you) and you pick the one you want in your order. Then you pick your drink, take a seat and wait. You might say it will take long due to how crowded it is, but it goes quickly! They have like ten servers that go back and forth from the kitchen to your table bringing your food and calling your name. Now, the best finish is the 'boli', which is a homemade ice cream with vanilla flavor. Wow! They make me go back many years remembering what I used to have as a kid!!! No more industrialized ice cream! This is great! I actually came 3 times to this place during my visit. And I'll be back in December!!!

Service first class. Love the food the their service.

The service we received there was outstanding every time we visited. If I ever get the chance to visit the beautiful city of San Luis Potosi again my first stop will be at La Casa de la Arracera.
