Bonnie, who is retiring at the end of the year, has been so precise in cleaning my teeth. She is so detail oriented that I always got the best cleaning possible. Knowing Moj's management skills, I am sure whoever comes to replace her will be just as good as the other oral hygienists and will be trained appropriately. When I have needed treatment beyond basic cleaning, they've always explained the options to me, let me know what would be covered by insurance and what wouldn't. Additionally, they've let me know when I can anticipate a current condition training it is some thing more difficult, and that has allowed me to plan both financially and in terms of overall care. Moreover, she has always taken the approach of doing the least that is necessary.

The dentist that repaired it (along with another consulting dentist) was appalled that it hadn't been crowned for protection. To add insult to injury, Dr Rostamian insisted the tooth had a crown on it. Dr. Rostamian is not shy about suggesting expensive restorative services but on one crown replacement didn't find the need to offer me my old gold crown. Also, this practice failed to suggest protecting my four front teeth (behind veneers) with a night guard as the dentin is now exposed. I wonder what else is in store for me after years of neglect.

I requested the works for this procedure ( IV anesthesia) and the whole process was over and done with before I knew it. I work in a pharmacy and have seen many times where patients bring in their prescriptions post surgery and are stuck on the waiting areas in pain with bloody gauze in their mouths. Dr. Kreger arranges your procedure so that your driver is able to take your prescriptions to the pharmacy while you are undergoing the extractions so you have your prescriptions and can go straight home after the procedure. This is very convenient and more dental offices should offer this curtesy. On top of this the staff are extremely competent and friendly. An overall good experience.

It's across the board too: from the primary dentist, to the hygienist, to the frontdesk (it all starts at the top though, so I'm not surprised that it's systemic). I went in for a routine checkup after moving to a new area. I'd had a previous checkup with a great dentist just six months ago, where I had been receiving regularly scheduled cleanings. I asked Boones Ferry Dental for a routine exam and cleaning, and they proceeded to tell me that I needed to do extensive deep cleaning (that would be almost $2k dollars more, with a customer out of pocket of almost $250 for me). They were making statements that I had severe "disease of the gums", that I was imminently in danger of potentially losing a tooth, and that it would be unethical of them to give me just a standard cleaning. Doing this more expensive deep cleaning would also have to be over the course of 2 more additional visits. I explained to them that I couldn't take that much time away from work, but offered to come in over the holiday break to do the deeper cleaning and would prefer a regular cleaning now. They refused to work with me. I called my previous dentist, and he said that this was extremely bizarre behavior and that I should seek out another dentist in the area. Boones Ferry Dental still charged my insurance for an exam despite refusing me service on actually cleaning my teeth, so now I'll need to seek out another opinion and likely deal with insurance consequences of another exam. I'd never have gone to Boones Ferry Dental had I know that they were interested in bullying customers through intimidation tactics to get them to spend more money - perhaps they're hurting for business, but this strikes me as an unethical way to do business and treat customers. At the very least, it is clear that they don't value my time, they don't actively listen, and they're not interested in building a long term relationship with me as a customer. There are 20+ other dentists in the nearby area: do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I was upset and called to see if they could see me last minute late Friday afternoon, and they were closing the office for the weekend. I always have the worst timing! So I scheduled for Monday morning and got off the phone. Probably sixty seconds later I received a call back, they ended up staying late just to help me out. I can't tell you how much it meant to me that they went through all of that trouble to help me out, and were so nice about it! After struggling to find a good dentist in town (and…read moresuffering from tooth pain for about two years while mediocre dentists continued to aggravate the area without resolving it), someone recommended that I try Dr. Busi. Within the past few months, he's completely resolved all of my dental issues. The tooth pain is totally gone, plus some other work that I had intended to take care of years ago has also been finished. Can't mention how awesome this place is without bringing up the staff. I needed a molar removed and had it extracted about a month or so ago, and about 3 weeks after the…read moreextraction the molar behind it broke, not sure how because part of it just came off. The dentist only looked at it and said it needed a crown. I told him I couldn't afford a crown and requested extraction. He refused and said it is a healthy tooth. They offered a payment plan for the crown but the thing dentists won't always tell you is that you might also need a root canal, which I also cannot afford. He offered to put a little filling in the area temporarily (for $125) until I could get a crown, I asked if he was going to remove the rest of the old filling and he said no. I told him I need to shop around for some quotes, he said you can but it will just cost more money. So, since he refused to extract it I had to leave with my broken tooth. I found the county dental clinic down the road. Their dentist actually did a more thorough exam and said if I wanted to try and save the tooth it needs a root canal first before the crown because there might be an infection, which is good to know, but they could also extract the tooth if l wanted to. She told me about the dental school nearby and we decided on a filling in the tooth for now, AND she removed the old filling, also way cheaper to have this done here. She took better care of me than this dentist did. I wasn't forced to get a crown and she did a proper filling and replacement, which means I might not need a root canal or crown if I'm careful with this side of my mouth, but time will tell because it may still need a root canal. I was told dentists don't want to pull a healthy tooth for lawsuit reasons, but this tooth needs a root canal and can be extracted so I feel like I was being taken advantage of and was offered sub-par care, being offered a filling and leaving the old broken filling behind. If he had put a crown on it and then needed a root canal they would have to drill through it or remove it, and if I couldn't afford the root canal it would it would have been $700 down the hole and no tooth. Also not sure why my tooth broke right after the extraction next to it, maybe he cracked/broke it when pulling the other? I want my money back for wasting my time there.
