I'd heard of places doing appropriate fit testing that goes further from the traditional method of putting your foot in and seeing where your toe is at. Fleet Feet offers a full scan of your foot and can track where you apply pressure when you walk. The scan/testing is very quick which offers some additional insights such as arch height, heel/ankle width, and more. The employee takes that information and grabs shoes to match. I will say it's a bit hard on the first visit to know what all I should be looking for once putting the shoe on because you get the technical speech, but some shoes just feel like shoes. I haven't reached pro status, but to accommodate this Fleet Feet does have a solid return policy in case you change your mind after walking out. I also walked out with some insoles to help with the arch and so far so good. It can be a bit pricey, but the shoes themselves match online prices and online you won't get the scan. I've recommended Fleet Feet to a few people and will continue to do so- it's cool to get insights!

When I tried on a display shoe, a sales associate abruptly approached me and told me I was not allowed to try on display shoes because customers might later ask for discounts. His tone was rude and dismissive. When I asked for the a shoe in a different color and size, he refused, saying "you have already tried on that shoe and they are all the same." I requested a manager, but was told the manager was "in a meeting" and unavailable. Feeling disrespected, I left the store without making my purchase. I've shopped at Dick's for years, but this visit was extremely disappointing. I hope this location addresses the issue so other customers do not have the same experience.

This is as recent as 12/11/2023, when I emailed the owner after the manager of Skips Osteen refusing to talk to me or return my call. Here is the email that went unanswered by the owner as well. "Dear Mr Patsos, I am a first time customer at Skip's Boots and purchased a $399.99 Men's Python Square Toe Boots and a Men's Thick Stripe Bell for $35.00 this past Monday, December 11, 2023. at 10:26AM. I had reviewed your product line online and utilized my email to get a 10% if I purchased anything at your store. Upon checking out, receipt number 12-3889, I had asked the young lady who rang me up if Skip's was offering any other types of holiday specials and I was informed you were not. I wore my boots to a party that night and loved them. On Friday, December 15, 2023, I received an email from Skip's Boots were offering a buy one pair of boots and get a second pair of boots for 50% off and the holiday special was good from November 1st, 2023 until December 31, 2023. Since it had only been four days since my purchase and within the time frame for the holiday special, I called the Osteen store and asked to speak to the manager, Kenny. I was told, Kenny was unavailable and if the young lady answering the phone could help me. I explained to her, just what I had explained to you in this email and she told me I was not eligible to purchase another pair of Skip's boots for the advertised 50% off. I then told her, that is why I was calling for the manager and would like to speak with him about the issue. The lady told me Kenny was busy and he would not come to phone. She further told me, I could return the "unused" boots to the store and repurchase them and then get the 50% off on the second pair of boots. I told her, I had already wore them and I was not looking to return the boots, however, I could bring them with me if they needed to refund my credit card, charge it again for the same boots and give them back to me and then let me buy another pair of boots. She said she could not do that. I told her, it doesn't make sense that the boots need to be "unworn" since I was going to be getting them right back and making another purchase of some additional boots. I then asked for the corporate telephone number for skip's and she wouldn't provide it. I then called your Daytona store and there was no manager on duty or corporate number available. I was only able to find the owners email going through online internet research. I hope you understand the obserdity of what you're employee is asking of a customer and her refusal to let me speak to the manager on duty. Please contact me as soon as possible, as I loved your store and the products it carries." I eventually was able to speak to Tonya at corpoate accounting and explained it to her. She originall agreed in the absurdity in the policy, especially, since I wanted to spend more money in the store Tonya then called the manager at the Daytona Beach store and called me back, suggesting I purchase a second pair at full price and then i could get the third pair of boots for 50% off. I informed her, I would not be interested in doing that. DON'T shop at Skip's stores, unless being treated like this is acceptablele to you. It was a first and last time experience for me!

They have a discount section in the back where most of the older inventory is in the $25 range. They sell all popular brands but you won't find much for work boots or boots in general. Alternativly, they do have a decent selection or sandals and Crocs. The store is organized and clean. Staff were friendly and did a great job organizing shoes by size. I was impressed they carried size 13 in most of the shoes I was interested in. My wife picked out a pair of sandals for about $25 that she is very happy with. All in all, a great shopping experience and we would come back next time we're shopping at this mall.

I found this 'Groove Belt,' which is pretty much a game changer for me. It has a magnetic buckle that has two heavy duty hooks built in to keep it from coming undone unless you intend to unbuckle it, the belt is also 'one size fits most' so you can adjust it to almost any size waist. You can choose to leave the slack intact so that it infinitely adjustable for as long as you own the belt or you can cut some of the slack if its bothersome. The belt even stretches with you when you bend over to work so it never feels uncomfortable when keeping it somewhat taunt when my shirt is tucked in for the workplace; like I said, a complete game changer for me. We stopped in the Saturday after Thanksgiving and they still had a great deal on the belt. It normally costs $60 but was marked down to $39, I probably should have bought two of these things but I wanted to see how long it lasts in my work environment, only time will tell. Since we were there shopping, we noticed they had great deals going on for BCG training attire and all Magellan clothing. I purchased several pairs of BCG shorts and workout pants and one Magellan top at 50% off which was a great deal. Staff here have always been super friendly and helpful and the store is kept immaculate. I highly recommend stopping in to check them out if you're in the area.
