They told him it might take about a month to get to it, but they expected it would be sooner. Over three months went by with no update. During that time, my husband called and even stopped by four different times, and every time they said they hadn't gotten to it yet. On the last visit, they admitted they had actually lost it in the back and couldn't read the notes from when he dropped it off because the writing had faded. When they finally called, they said it was ready -- and the bill was $992. Almost a thousand dollars, with no phone call for approval before doing the work. Any reputable repair shop calls first to confirm the cost, especially when it's that high. For that price, we could have bought a good used mower. We're extremely disappointed in Wayne Gravely in Lenoir and won't be returning.

(instead of 30 minutes) to get service done at Southern Farm Supply. Michael in the service department has always been available to answer questions by phone and if I've needed to take the tractor in, he's even come out to look at the tractor before I take it off the trailer to see if it's something they can fix/repair on the spot rather than having to leave it. Everyone I've interacted with has been very helpful and willing to help wherever possible. They will continue to get my business as long as they continue the great customer service I've experienced with them!

James River Equipment was our answer and they've opened a store in Newton! Purchased our first subcompact tractor from Tim Conn. we had stopped in one day not realizing they had not opened yet. Mr. Tim took his time and showed us the tractor we believed would be a good fit for the size of property and what we needed from it. When they finally did open, we were in there buying the little tractor and implements. We've had to work with Mr. Larry and the other young man for bits and pieces at the parts counter. I can honestly say, they don't turn their backs because you're a female. You don't need to walk in with a male to buy a tractor or get parts. We were actually treated with far more respect than a lot of the auto dealers in the county. JRE in Newton has gone the extra mile in customer service, honesty and integrity from the Store Manager (Tim Conn) to the parts/sales desk on out to the mechanics.
