All of his jobs have problems: 1 - Floor: He didn't leave any gap (1/4 inch for expansion is standard) from the walls. There was a water leak which I notified him about, he finished the job and didn't check. I found there was still water everywhere after a week... Good thing I decided to redo the floor. 2 - Stairs: I was going to redo the stairs later anyway since the finish wasn't as nice as I hoped. After using it for a day; I almost tripped on the nose trim. It was a loose and I found most of them were loose and poorly finished. 3 - Walls: I was actually okay with this job and he was supposed to prep the wall for painting. After 3 coats of paint, the wall looks ugly due to poor or no prepping... I also paid him to build a fence, he acted like he was confident but he clearly lacked tools and knowledge. It was installed way too high and I told him it wasn't going to pass the permit inspection. He swore up and down this was okay and it failed... I still paid him and asked him to take the fence down but he ghosted me.

I paid Ryan Rvans nearly $40k for work (that I'm still making payments on). Some of which turned out okay. The gutters have been leaking for months. He was to be down in February to fix. I'm still waiting. He poured a large exposed aggregate patio that cracked within a week of pouring. Take a look at the screen shots of the text conversation where he says he didn't put the cuts in correctly. Was to replace first thing this spring. Last I heard he was to be here the day after Memorial Day, and now he just doesn't reply, so I'm spreading the word. I also discovered that the cheap materials he used on my deck railings have dsicolored into a nasty yellow. Please tell all your family and friends not to use Evans Construction in aliquippa. Our back deck had been a disaster since we moved into our house. It also did not have any steps for access to the backyard. We spent a year and a half contacting contractor after contractor, no one wanted to help us get our deck up to par. Not one person that came out to look at the deck would give us an estimate on what it would take to fix the deck. Some told us they would only give us pricing for a new deck, others just ghosted us all together. Enter Mark Skerlec. Mark listened to our needs and then gave us a variety of options that could rectify the issues with the deck. After making our final decisions Mark quickly scheduled a date to begin his work. He was clean, he was quick, and he did incredible work. Our deck no longer sags. It no longer bounces when you walk on it. I also finally have direct access to the backyard. The most amazing part is Mark was able to take the time to match up the parts he used with the current design of the deck. Looking at it you would never know that it was once a monstrous atrocity. I had had to remove a door…read morefrom its frame to get a new washer into my laundry room, but underestimated how difficult it would be to line up to reinstall. I also needed some help getting a new wind stop/chain installed on a swinging screen door in the basement. They were the only service I reached out to who asked for specific details about the jobs before providing a quote, which is a great way to do business. They also provided a real time of expected arrival instead of something like a four-hour window taking up your entire day. They arrived a little before the time quoted with two people - one the main handyman and one being trained. They did a prompt and excellent job and the cost was very fair. I almost don't want to tell everyone how good they are because then they'll become too busy, ha! They truly deserve your business.

Yes, I realize now how stupid and naive I was. Back in 2022 a pipe burst in my house and caused a significant amount of damage.  I live in a very rural area and I could not get anyone to come out and give me quotes. My insurance wasn't helpful either. So, I then I got a message from Zack.  I had no idea what a manipulative snake he is. He seemed so nice and willing to help. Even Sent us (my SO and I) to a place to look for replacement counters in a very ghetto place. So, being desperate to have help and being fooled by this sad excuse for a human being, I gave him 15k to start.  We also signed his stupid contract that looking at it now a child with a crayon could have made a better one. He couldn't even decipher a comma with an apostrophe. We were desperate.  Half our house was gone, we were eating fast food (we are diabetic and it ruined our a1cs) the kitchen,  the downstairs bathroom, our use of our washer and dryer. Our house was taken apart and we needed our home back. This guy never started the work. Kept acting like he was doing me a favor and in the end stole my money and ran. Eventually my insurance found someone to fix the house but the damage was done. The 15k was from the insurance to fix my house. I had to get an equity loan on my PAID off house!! I had just bought a car and so I had to get a big loan and my credit is super crappy. So, had to get an over 50k loan to pay my car and the money he stole from me to the other company who actually completed the work. This guy is a liar, thief and he's broke. DO NOT USE THIS SHAM OF A COMPANY. He threatened to sue me for talking to the BBB. And he scared me into taking my review down. He threatened to sue me! Guess what? He never did because he's broke AF. Didn't even pay his insurance.  Otherwise I could have been paid back. This sounds like a story but it's not. It's a nightmare that happened to me and is still happening to me. He threatened to sue me when I sent demand letters. Said I'd have to owe what was on the contract. He knew how to scare me. Took this guy to small claims, he never showed up. I won the judgement but he's broke and is gonna screw me because he can't pay. I can't stress enough not to give your money to this guy.  He's the worst kind of creep there is. I have no idea how there's any kind of good reviews. Have to be fake just like him.
