For comparison, multiple other contractors reviewed the same scope and estimated less than $2K for everything. What made the experience even more frustrating was the two-week delay, wasting valuable time only to receive an unreasonable proposal. Maybe they're better suited for larger commercial projects, but based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend them for residential work.

I'm confident that TSMG does not have this issue often, but it did happen to me, and once they realized that, they offered a gift card for my frustration. Joel responded quickly to my initial call and was very professional and transparent about what the price would be: no hidden extras, no charge for removing the carpet or moving some of the larger pieces of furniture. He has another company that does installs for a large flooring retailer, and this company does installations privately and I think they also sell flooring. My only concern was that the crew was almost 2 hrs late getting to my house, but it was a horribly rainy day and they had stopped to get supplies. A call to Joel and he assured me they were on their way. The crew worked diligently all day, did a great job installing my engineered wood floors, which they said were a little trickier than most. They cleaned up both inside and outside even though it was nearly 10pm in the pouring rain when they left. Joel called this morning to make sure I was happy with the work: I'm very happy.

Two informed me that "no" I could not have a drywall ceiling, that I was stuck with a drop ceiling; "no" we can not put a pocket door in this wall; "no" we can't remove a wall. And then there was Mike! I knew from our first telephone conversation that he was the one! I was right! I have a beautiful tray ceiling of drywall, I have a perfect pocket door and there is no more divider wall. Mike spent 1 1/2 hours with me in my basement during the bid process. He is one of the nicest men I have met. He is kind and thoughtful. He listens and then translates builder language into words that I could understand. Mike was so thorough! He noticed a wall that had been built incorrectly and suggested he rebuild it correctly. This will allow me to mount a TV on that wall! He took the time to remove several of the existing drop ceiling tiles and really looked to see what was happening above the tiles and said "yes" we can do a drywall ceiling. Mike suggested other little things like where I planned to mount the TV and he installed the outlet high on the wall to avoid the TV cord being seen. He suggested moving a wall out into the room 20 inches so that the future bathroom would be bigger. I never realized how small that bathroom would be, but Mike did, and his idea was perfect. There were also so many extras that Mike just took care of for me that saved me time and money. I really appreciate his kindness! I am blown away by my new basement. It used to be dark and dreary, and I never used that room. Now it is my favorite room in the house. Bussie started the day they said they would start and finished one day earlier than expected and even came in UNDER the original budget. You will not meet a nicer man and he will do what he says he will do and even go the extra mile to make the customer happy! I can't wait to have Bussie Contracting back to my house for a porch rebuild, kitchen and bathroom remodel as soon as possible!

Despite clear and indisputable evidence that his actions caused all of the damage I claim, Mike refuses to take any responsibility. He makes claims, but has zero evidence to support these claims. Even more concerning, Bussie Contracting Services is an illegally operating business that is NOT licensed as a residential contractor in the State of Georgia, which is a clear violation of O.C.G.A. § 43-41-2 and § 43-41-17, which require a valid PLB-issued license for residential projects exceeding $2,500. My project was well over that amount. As a result, I am currently preparing to file a formal complaint with the Georgia Professional Licensing Board, which has the authority to: * Investigate and take legal action against unlicensed contractors, * Impose civil penalties up to $5,000 per violation, and * Shut down unlicensed construction businesses and prohibit them from operating in Georgia. If you're considering hiring this company, verify their licensing status carefully. I strongly advise others not to make the same mistake I did.

I used this company to give me a free quote and inspection on a house I was looking to buy. I…read moreoriginally called and scheduled a time for a Thursday, but one of their roofers, Jeff, called me later that day and said they had double booked him. So we rescheduled for a different day. The day off, he arrives earlier than me. He gives me a 15 minute window of time to buffer things, but he got there right on time. The inspection was seamless and very thorough. Jeff went over everything with me and made sure I understood the work that needed to be done. After that, we parted ways. I reached back out to him about a month later asking if his proposal was still good. The rate he gave me was still good so I went ahead and scheduled a time for him to come out for the roof repairs. Well, just my luck, but the scheduled day-of, it rains. And rains. And rains some more. He was supposed to be at the house between 9-9:30am, but he emailed me at 7:30 and told me we'd have to reschedule due to the threat of rain. At first I was annoyed. It wasn't raining at 9:30am. But by noon, several pockets of rain had already rolled through. So we tentatively reschedule for Thursday. Thursday morning looks good and he arrives earlier than expected. Around 8:30ish as opposed to the 9-9:30 window. He gets straight to work and also gets done earlier than expected. Everything looked good! Jeff is a very friendly guy and he's more than happy to expand on his knowledge if you want to lend him your ear for a bit. In the end, I paid less than $900 for everything and the work comes with a 1-year warranty. I definitely recommend using Jeff!

We used Escex because of a friend who worked there at the time. We needed to replace our roof due…read moreto weather damage, so we thought we'd go all in and replace the siding as well because Escex assured us they did both. In all we spent more than $38,000. From the beginning of the project things went sideways. Our siding salesman promised hardiplank, installed a lesser product that wasn't even the same style. The salesman was fired, but we didn't get what we thought we were paying for. As for the roof, after it was installed, we had a leak that caused some water damage in bedroom, but it was fixed. Fast forward 4 years (we had roof/siding installed in May, 2021), we woke up a few weeks ago after a rainstorm to find water damage in the master bathroom, master bedroom and on the main floor in the kitchen. I called and asked Escex to come look for the leak. Mark Chapin, the roofing manager came out and told us that there was a 'dead spot' on the roof and that he would repair it but it wasn't covered under warranty. He would do the work himself for slightly under $600. I was skeptical, so therefore got another estimate from a well known roofer, who pointed out where they believed the leak came from and why. Below are current day pictures-4 years later. I asked about the quality of work, and the relationship to the leaks., sent emails and left voicemails for Escex Owner ADAM HUMPHREYS-he didn't return any of them. Mark told me he was limited in what he could do because the warranty expired? I wonder if this is the 'quality' Escex is so proud of and if they stand behind this type of workmanship and poor customer service?
