No bathrooms in here. NO bathrooms in the entire strip mall, not even at Best Buy. The only bathroom I found was at Home Depot in the same parking lot! What does a bathroom have to do with buying shoes? A lot, especially if you have to go - and leave the store! 5 star if they had a loo. I was fortunate to find two pairs of shoes to purchase here, and that's a feat (feet, get it) for me as I have difficult feet anatomy with extremely high arches and wide luau feet (Hawaiian feet), but I managed to find not one, but two pairs of shoes for decent prices. This shoe store is HUGE and the word "warehouse" in the store name is pretty much accurate. It was so huge and large that they had rows and rows and aisle and aisles of shoes. They even had a clearance section where a total stranger was joking with me about the ugliest shoe she had ever seen, to which I would find one even uglier and present her with the offending winner. It was the most fun I've ever had in a shoe store. If you sign up, you can get discounts and also a guaranteed email-a-day on all the sales and clearances. I was going to unsubscribe as there is not a DSW store anywhere within 2,400 miles from me but they do sell online so I may check that out one day. read more

Second time ever shopping here and it's exactly the same as I remembered it to be the first time. I came in today after work to purchase a pair of heels for a dress I'm wearing to my cousins wedding. DSW is massive. They have a plethora of shoes you can choose from. If you're a "shoe whore", then this store is for you. They have all sorts of shoes from sneakers, slippers, boots, heals, stilletos, etc. You name it, they've got it. I can spend all day here if I wanted to but today was not that day. My mission was black strappy specific. I did spot a few pairs but I have such wide feet I had to settle with just one. The ones I tried on were cute but they pinched my toes. There's no way I can dance or walk in them. So I ended up getting a pair of Jessica Simpson super patent strappy heels. The arch is perfect---not super high but not too kitten heeled either. I just wanted something that will give me a little height. But the way the strap rests above the metatarsals might cause me some pain after a couple of hours. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. My final decision was based on fashion... not comfort obviously. Other than that, I think DSW has a good selection of shoes to suit every shoe lover's dream. And don't forget to check out the clearance section. You get an additional discount based on the color ticketed item. You can save anywhere from 10% all the way up to 60% off. So if you're lucky, you can get a pair of shoes for as little as $15. read more

DSW, Designer Shoe Warehouse, was once my go-to shoe store. I used to strictly shop here (or even their Winter Park location) for just about any shoe type except for flat sandals, which I always viewed as grossly overpriced. However, over the years, my opinions have shifted as I often find myself donating the same pairs of shoes I purchase from them within a year or so. I am unsure whether the quality of shoes being made is the culprit, the styles DSW decides to carry and sell are the culprit, or a combination of both. Nonetheless, for the price points, it is becoming less and less worth spending money on shoes that have minimal lasting power. So, I don't shop at DSW nearly as much as I used to. I do, however, appreciate the donation boxes and often donate old, retired, or damaged shoes. Many have, as I noted, been brands I've purchased directly from the store. Ultimately, I've opted to purchase my shoes either directly from the brand's website or just other shoe stores in general that offer better pricing. The staff is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. The store, in particular, at this location, which is much larger than the Winter Park location, is usually always neat and rarely super crowded. Even on their busiest days, the lines usually move pretty quickly. There is ample parking, so no need to worry about that, and it is located across the street from the Millenia Mall and various other shopping plazas and eateries. So, you can make a day of shopping - if that's on your list of to-dos. While DSW is no longer my go-to, it is still a decent shoe store to venture into for your shoe needs. They offer decent deals - not always to my liking, but we can chalk it up to inflation. And if you sign up for their rewards, the perks are usually pretty nice if you get in quickly on them. read more

The 3 employees were all very friendly. When checking out, I was having issues with a few discounts that I was using from their app and they were extremely patient as we navigated the app that was not doing what it needed to do. This DSW is located across from the Mall of Millenia. I was very surprised at the level of safety that they achieved while I shopped in their store. There was an employee at the door with masks and hand sanitizer. The aisles were marked so that you could only shop in one direction and not overlap with other customers. If you wanted to try on shoes there was a designated area for trying on the merchandise. Afterwards you either make a purchase or leave the shoes on a table to be disinfected. While I was shopping a person was suited up and blowing some kind of chemicals over everything in the store. I was tagging along and did not expect to make a purchase but I found a cute pair of sandals that I had to buy. The staff was very friendly. My overall experience was excellent and I will be back. They have an extensive inventory with a good variety of pricing. read more

While my wife was looking for some shoes, I went over to the men's area. As usual, I am disappointed. You see I have a very wide foot, EEE. So I asked the clerk if they had any wide shoes, they did. Just to find out that they resemble the shoes that I already have. Why is it that guys always get the few were selection of shoes? Don't they realize that there are some guys out there that like shoes, like me! If you have normal size feet, and want to have lots of shoes, this store is probably for you. But if you're like me, that have wide feet, and are really picky about the shoes that you wear, then this store is not for you. They have a wide variety to choose from. You can't go in here and not leave with at least one pair. I buy shoes here for all occasions - weddings, birthday celebrations, running, flip flops, sandals for comfort and for style and my my entire family shops here too. I usually will begin at the clearance racks. I always find a pair of shoes there and with the 30, 40, 50 to 60% off you can't possibly go wrong. Make sure you check each shoe size, I did get to the counter with two different sizes in a box once. I love the wide open, warehouse style setting. It gives you an opportunity to view shoes from rows and rows away. So just when you thought you found that perfect pair another pair might just catch your attention. Lol. Make sure to get on their emailing list to get notifications for upcoming sales, discounts, and new items. But again the more you buy the more you'll save. On one visit I walked out with four pair of shoes and only paid for one pair because of the amount of reward points I built up. It saves you money. read more

My wife and I have serious, fundamental differences in opinions on shoes... well... clothing in general. She would probably rate this store much higher. It's a fairly boring and bare-bones sort of store. Due to their low costs and good deals, they tend to have some VERY INTERESTING folks wandering around in there. There was a lady in head-to-toe Elmo gear the time before last we were here. But, it's pretty much a given that they could make a PeopleofDSW website and get some neat page hits. Typical with this sort of close-out store, you can't come back next Thursday and hope to see that item again. Buy it today and it's gone tomorrow. This goes against my PERSONAL nature of shopping. I understand that has little to do with the store, that's me. I know what I like and buy it over and over. You can't do that here. My wife likes weird, random stuff. She found a pair of dark purple high heels this visit for less than $15. She was elated. I was thankful it was so cheap. I can't figure out why someone would need such shoes... but she was over the moon. This store has epic amounts of wasted space and there is stuff piled all over the floor most of the time. The store is very similar to their other stores except they do have a little higher level of guest service. For me, I'm usually very brand loyal when it comes to shoes and athletic wear. Only challenge with DSW is they carry little selection of the brands I normally wear. Because of this, I more likely would likely go to a specialty store. The one thing which sets this location a part is their staff. As soon as my girlfriend and I walked in, we were acknowledged in a very positive way. That's a kind mark on any place. They also have a great idea of their stock. I wasn't sure if they had a particular brand, first person I saw, asked them about if they carried them. Sure enough they did! They also showed me where they lived in the store. Before they left, they made sure my particular size was there. It regrettably wasn't, but they let me know they can ship them to me for free! I actually ended up buying a pair of Pumas that look great and were much cheaper than what I could find them from a Puma store. DSW stands for Discount Shoe Warehouse (I believe) and this place really is a warehouse. They have rows upon rows of shoes, all displayed for your viewing pleasure. There are a lot of shoes here that I would never dare put on my foot, but DSW definitely has some great discount shoes that are worth searching for in between the horrid ones. In the almost 7 years living here, I finally stopped into this location on a whim. When you walk in, it's almost overwhelming. This place is huuuuuge. I didn't even know where to begin. There are countless rows of shoes on display based on styles. They also had womens purses, wallets and accessories off to one corner and I spied a men's section of shoes as well! I went straight for the back wall of clearance shoes. Most were off season or just not my style (I'm too clumsy for platform wedges and sky high stilettos ) but still worth checking out for that "diamond" in the rough! I DO love that you can browse and browse and not be hounded by salespeople or have to fight to find a salesperson to pull sizes in shoes you want. All the shoes and sizes are out for you to try on. This would probably not be the best place if you like getting that one on one attention from a salesperson. They have a mix of brands..I noticed a lot of lower end brands along with a good mix of well known ones. The regular priced shoes weren't exactly as "cheap" as one would expect but depends on the brand. I feel like I could find some of the styles somewhere else for cheaper. Just don't be fooled by the "warehouse" in the title. It's really not as cheap as I thought it would be. But this is a great place for one stop shopping. And it's clean and organized! So many choices. So many styles. So many painful, pointy, unsupportive shoes. I always go into this store with such high hopes. They have thousands of shoes, they must have one pair that has some padding and support and does not look like the orthotic sandals my grandmother wears, right? Nope. Their selection is vast, but the shoes lack quality, support, or longevity. I am in my 20s and work as a lawyer/teacher. I can't wear heels, and I just want some cute sandals/flats that have more than a piece of cardboard between my precious feet and the outside world. I want shoes that are cute and stylish than also have some cushion and arch support. Not here. On the plus side, I always get suckered into buying aspirational heels in the clearance section for a good deal. I have been to many of shoe stores in my life but this one would have to be the worst I have ever been to they didn't have the style of shoe I need for a dance. I was already upset that I couldn't find it then I asked someone else and they showed my right to it. Then the shoes I was starting to buy were a little expensive so I went online to find a coupon. When I found a coupon I asked a lady if I could use this coupon and she said sure, let me get someone to help you. Then the lady at the counter start arguing with me about how I was signed up and you have no coupons. I don't receive emails with coupons like she's said and then she called for back up. I love, love, love the clearance section here! They usually have aisles and aisles of clearance shoes in my size. I love the color coding that tells you the percentage off, anywhere from 30%-80% off! However, my recent experience there was very nice and I wanted to share. In need of some new dress shoes, and also some summer-time kicks. Normally, I go to Macy's because I like the brands they have. My wife recommended that we stop by DSW. I thought that it was a 'discount shoe store' - code word for cheap brands at cheap prices. I was wrong. They have a wide selection of men's shoes at all price ranges and styles. One drawback is that they don't offer wide widths. However, after trying on a number of pairs I found some that fit just right and did not need a wider size. The summer kicks were a pair of gray Polo canvas slides, just what I needed. Staff was friendly and even offered to order a pair if I could not find what I needed. Overall a very nice experience and I will certainly go back - may even join their VIP club. read more
