David came to fix some handicap assistance bars in a bathroom, patch up some large holes and fix a toilet seat. Pricing was reasonable. He was very efficient and cleaned up after the job. I'll look to hire David again in the future read more

I hired David to do a small remodel in my home. I needed extra storage area in my home so I had a bathroom remodeled into a closet. That's right, bathroom-to-closet, not the other way around! I reached out to David here on Yelp. He was responsive on the quote feature and came by to take measurements and give me the final price. His price was super competitive and as expected when hiring a handyman rather than a contractor or popular construction company. David had his teenage son help him after school and on the weekend. From demolition to final product, both David and his son were very communicative, respectful of my home, and on time every day. We are very happy with the outcome and will keep David in mind for future projects! read more

Quality of work is solid. He did a great job at fixing the drywall holes the plumber put in. The concerns I have is he was 30min late on both days. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I had a huge plumbing problem emergency and tenets were moving in the next day. I think they were delayed because their texture machine wasn't working which isn't their fault, and I also gave them the wrong paint color, but none of that was communicated. The next morning I got the right color so they could start early, before the new tenets arrived, they said 10:15-10:30 I informed them that new people were moving in at 11. Everyone arrived at 11 and it was chaotic. My other gripe is the estimate/invoice system. I was given an estimate with some extra projects. I ended up declining the sink and bathtub repair. I asked him for the new price and he said $850. I handed him $860 in cash because I didn't have a change and asked him to send me a new invoice. Several days later he sent me the invoice for $800. I have asked him several times over the past couple of days to send me the new invoice with the total paid to the correct number and I have had no response. Communication is not necessarily their strong suit. So in the end, good work, but maybe not worth it if they are late and I have to repeatedly ask for the correct invoice. ****Update**** removed another star because it's been over a week and a half and I still have not gotten a refund or an updated invoice read more

Handyman DSV updated our fireplace and 3 of our bathroom vanities and they did a decent job at a fair and reasonable price. We were happy with the work that they did but we ended up running to issues and to no surprise, things took a turn. Initially, they were very easy to get in touch with. The main issue we had thereafter was in communication or lack thereof. They bailed last minute on one day and on another day just didn't show up at all. In fact when I called I got hung up on and then received a text message saying they wouldn't be able to make it due to car trouble. It was odd that we did not receive an invoice of any sort but we got busy and let it go. Fast forward one month, we ended up with a leak in our new vanity sink that penetrated through our downstairs ceiling and caused our kitchen light fixture to collapse. I did not blame them for the leak. I never did. They came immediately to take a look at it and said they would be back the next morning to fix it. When I asked what the payment breakdown would look like, I stated that we did not have a leak prior to the changing out of vanities. Legit and factual statement. At that point, they ghosted us. They didn't come the next day. They never replied to anymore of my texts. I texted that afternoon, the next afternoon and I haven't heard from them since. All I would have liked was to have had a conversation or the respect of a reply to discuss what happened. But how the situation was handled was on par with how things were handled throughout the project. Aside from poor communication, they lacked professionalism and we obviously will not be working with them again. read more

I have not worked with a handyman this good in a long long time. I'm completely blown away. A tenant hit a railing with his car and for safety reason it needed to be fixed right away. David was fast, quality work, & cleaned up after himself. I thought the price was fair for the job. I appreciated amid everything going on with our economy not getting price gouged. I'm definitely keeping your number David. Thanks so much for helping my small family business. read more

David and his son (I'm assuming) came over to help recaulk a shower tub. They were easy to communicate with leading up to arrival, on time, and finished the job in under two hours. I would have spent half the weekend on it (and in fact already had, except I screwed it up, hence asking for help... :) I'm happy to know a local handyman and will keep them in mind for future projects. read more

I had a rotted and molded subfloor that needed replacing and Handyman DSV was able to fix it right up. They were very responsive and came out to give a quote an hour after my initial phone call. The very next day they cleaned it all up and installed new flooring. They also added a bunch of extra screws throughout the existing subfloor to reduce squeaking. David and Alexis came to replace a very old toilet in my home. They were super fast to respond to my message and set up a time to do the work. They offered to come the very next day! We were a little worried hiring a handyman for the work because a pervious person came out and said the toilet is so old that maybe when he gets it off there will be more work to do underneath that will be out of his scope. When David came he was confident he could do the job and fix what ever needed adjusting for the new toilet. When I say old, I mean this toilet we had was from the 1960's in a cottage built in the 1920's! David and Alexis had no problem removing, bringing the pipe area up to standard to fit the new toilet and putting in a beautiful new toilet. They were fast, honest and clean! We can't wait to use them for other projects! read more

With all the recent rain and downpours in the Bay Area, I had an issue with rain water coming in through one of my window. I reached out to David via Yelp and he came over that same day and knew exactly how to fix the problem. Within a day and a half, David and his assistant removed all the dry rot, installed new siding, re-sealed the window, and added a diverter to prevent rain water from seeping into window again. David was so efficient, skilled, professional, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend David for your handyman needs and I definitely plan on using his services again in the future for my property. read more

I had a small fence bolted to concrete that I wanted to remove. David took about a day to reply to my original query, but after replying in the morning he was very prompt in providing a quote and scheduling the visit, and ended up coming over to do the work that day. He and his assistant had the fence off in no time, sawed off the bolts in the concrete, and hauled it all away for the price he quoted. No complaints, would certainly hire him again for similar work. read more

Great service. David and his son replaced the missing asphalt shingles on my old steep roof without any problem. David did a great job fixing my front door and security screen door. He came on a Saturday to give me an estimate and by Monday at lunchtime, the project was done. My doors were becoming hard to close through wear and tear and old hardware and now they're like new. He reinstalled both doors, replaced one of the hinges, replaced the door frame and tightened the doorknobs. He even patched some holes in the frame and realigned the deadbolt. David worked quickly and efficiently, and was professional, responsive and has reasonable rates. I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him for any household repairs or jobs. This handyman came on time ( which I am big on) and put my basketball hoop together. It looks good. He had an adorable 12 yo son help him and just as hard working! I am going to keep his name as a handyman for other house projects! read more

David and his son were super quick to respond and came out the next day. They did a great job replacing our door. Would recommend!

I needed some stucco repairs done on our two story house, David responded to my request quickly, and came out a few hours later with his son to look over the work and provide an estimate. His quote was reasonable and he came back on time at 8am the next morning with all the supplies. My intention was to just have some caulking placed in the cracks to weatherproof the exterior through the winter, but David and his son went above and beyond. He chiseled out the cracks to ensure an reliable repair, and installed textured stucco patch so it blends in beautifully. He took his time and truly did it right. They cleaned up well when done. He clearly knows what he is doing and does things the right way. He and his son do most general construction work and I've got his number saved in my phone now - he'll be my first call for my next home project! read more

David did an EXCELLENT job of painting my entire condo from floor to ceiling including doors and trims, baseboards, and interior of closets. He used satin, semi-gloss, and flat paint in different areas with a different brush for each kind of paint. He was very organized, brought the right tools, covered all the floors, cleaned baseboards and doors before painting. He pulled the wall electric plug covers and installed them back. There was not a single drop of paint anywhere after he was done. He left the condo in an immaculate condition. He gave the best estimate and did an excellent job for the price. Thank you for doing a fabulous job. I would highly recommend him. read more
