The neighbor decided to be very rude and cussing out the men working while all along they probably would've gotten a ladder and tied up to the line. Had the neighbor not been such an asshole. Please do not let that review discourage you. If anything, the neighbor needs to learn how to shut up his barking dogs all the time. First, let me say I would not take the time to write this review if I did not feel Joe's Tree…read moreService is so blatantly in the wrong, and so unaccommodating about resolving the issue. I believe in supporting our communities by patronizing small businesses and I am so disappointed that I had this experience. I encourage any reader of this review to take heed of the fact that, as of the date of this writing, the ability to write reviews on Facebook is not available for this company, and ask yourself why a company would do that. ************************ I paid Joe's Tree Service my entire tax refund, and then some, to remove a large tree from the backyard. Sometime during the removal, our next door neighbor spoke to Joe outside, indicating they would take some of the wood, so Joe understood that to mean he could ditch pretty much the entire tree, except for the small branches, in the neighbor's front yard. There are huge chunks of the tree trunk that one person couldn't even lift by themselves. I was able to speak to my neighbor two days after Joe's Tree Service dumped the tree in their yard. I asked the neighbor if he intended for the tree service to leave all that wood on his front lawn, he said no, they just wanted a little bit for burning in their backyard fire pit. (I acknowledge that I was not a party to this conversation and concede that it's quite possible the neighbor did not convey his wishes effectively.) So I let Joe know there had been a misunderstanding somehow and the neighbor didn't have a way to saw, split or haul all that wood, and I told him we would really appreciate it if he could come get it and do with it whatever they normally do with trees they remove. And first Joe tried to tell me he would only come get the wood if the neighbor pays him! Then he backed off that and said he *may* be able to tell the neighbor how to get rid of it, but the neighbor has to call him himself. Until somebody deals with this eyesore, me and all my neighbors get to look at it every time we look outside. And I had to pay a pile of money for the honor of being ticked off every time I look outside. Which ticks me off even more. Joe contends once a tree has been removed from a property then it's completely acceptable for him to leave the tree anyplace he can find to do so... even if it means the tree is left laying in a yard 30 feet from the front door of the person who payed to have them remove it. Regardless, when it was brought to his attention that there was a misunderstanding between himself and my neighbor, an honorable business person would have made it right for the person who was their paying customer. He just saw an opportunity to dump the tree and take the money and run. This situation has been a nightmare to deal with and so I encourage anyone to find somebody else if you need tree work done!!! Joe may bid under other estimates, but as the old adage goes, "you get what you pay for." There are plenty of other honorable tree services in Springfield to choose from.

Edgar and has crew are fantastic to work with and do a wonderful job at an affordable rate. I only have good things to say--if you need tree work done, do yourself a favor and contact 4 Seasons Tree Service. I needed several trees cut back in anticipation of high winds. I called 5 tree services; only two replied in 10 days' time. Edgar was the only one who was prompt for his own chosen appt. From there, things just got better. Edgar and his team were able to get to it earlier than anyone else and offered the best price. Throughout the process, they were communicative and always arrived on time. I HAVE to emphasize this: THEY WERE THE ONLY BUSINESS TO PROACTIVELY OFFER COPIES OF BOTH BUSINESS LICENCE AND LIABILITY INSURANCE INFORMATION. On top of it all, Edgar is always willing to take the time to thoughtfully answer any questions I may have for him, even when the answer doesn't lead to more work. I would add that NONE of the workers appeared to be "cash laborers". Edgar's not cutting corners to increase his profits by hiring "unskilled" day laborers. Each worker took to his task without any supervision whatsoever--a telling practice of skilled labor--when climbing and cutting trees with power equipment-chain saws, woodchipper, and cherry picker.

We saw 4 Seasons working in our neighbor's yard. They looked experienced and efficient. We had them over to look at our tree and promptly Edgar sent us his quotes two days later. Edgar communicated promptly and clearly about the quotes and how he and his crew will do to the tree. He gave us three different quotes (three choices), and we chose the one that fit us the best. They showed up to the job on time, cut down the problem-tree efficiently, and left our yard and driveway clean! It was a pleasant experience working with Edgar and his crew. We will definite recommend him to our friends and will go back to him when we need other tree services. 4-Seasons provides quality work at reasonable rate; what a gem!

This company was hired by my Landlord to trim dead limbs and remove 2 trees from the property…read more While trimming 1 of the trees in the backyard they tore the canopy on my easy up. They said that they would provide a vinyl repair kit, which never happened. While trimming the same tree they made a mistake and removed a large limb allowing it to crash onto my garden fence enclosure destroying the front half of it. They left without repairing it. There was one attempt made to fix it but it was never completed. The enclosure was home to my Wife's pet Turtle, Stanley. Needless to say Stanley was able to escape and to this day, has not been found. One of the owners promised to replace the Turtle, and even stated that he would bring back 2 Turtles. This was never done. They eventually cut down the large tree, but left huge pieces of it in my backyard which they were supposed to place along my rear fence, and never did. They are too large and heavy for myself or my wife to move. They left my patio furniture stacked in the corner of my yard. They left my deck covered with debris, limbs, leaves, and sawdust. They also refused to come back and continue the trimming wok on 1 tree that has a lot of dead limbs. There were stones that defined my flower garden area piled up in a couple areas. The stump was left much higher than the stump in the front yard, and they refused to come back and lower it. This was a terrible experience due mainly to the guys Wife being so belligerent and uncooperative. I have pictures to support all of the information above.
