He was very informative on preventative I need to take care of around the exterior to help keep them out and where to set up the traps to take care of the current issue. Within just a couple of days they were trapped! I'm so thankful and should have called sooner. Meers has also taken care of our interior/exterior sprays and sentricon termite system for 8+ years now. Back on 4/1/25, your office was notified that I wanted the account placed on hold until further notice, and not likely renewing services because I was out of state on personal business. There was no indication of my requesting renewal. On 6/14, I received a threatening text stating there was $350 amount due for additional services to monitor bait stations on my property, and if I didn't pay it it would be turned over to debt collector.. Scary, since no additional services had been rendered at my property for the last 12 months to my knowledge as I keep my fences to sides and back your locked at all times. I immediately called on 6/14 and spoke to someone in your office and told them at no time did I make request to continue services with Meer, thus should not be receiving any extra billing for no services rendered by anyone from your company. There's obviously a disconnect between your offices and the customer, so please Just stay off my property. Will consider it trespassing, if any of your employees enters or walks upon my property without permission while I'm not on the property. Sorry I ever did business or paid your company $1000 for basic termite services, and as business owner you should never argue with your customer. I could write all day and you still wouldn't understand the point.

They are a non-profit that offers a safe environment for injured wildlife. Their open house was well-attended and it offered guests the opportunity to see some wildlife up close.

The SPWRC is a critical resource in the Lubbock area and I absolutely love what they do. They are a…read more501(c)(3) funded by donations alone, not to mention supported by countless hours of volunteer time. They also offer internships in coordination with Texas Tech. Or at least that seems to be where all of the students come from. They're primarily managed by a small cohort of paid staff and the organization has a board of directors, too. Unfortunately, they're not usually able to come and pick up wildlife unless it's an unusual circumstance. Injured birds almost always need to be brought in. They have a 24 hour drop off building that is made from a small shed. Any wild animal found injured in the area can be brought in, though if you're not sure about the state of the animal you've found, it's a good idea to give them a call first to get advice. In addition to any kind of wild bird, I've seen them take in tons of opossums, foxes, skunks, squirrels, rabbits, even bobcats. The goal is to rehab the animals brought in for eventual re-release back into the wild. However, this does not always work out. As a result, they have several permanent residents they call ambassadors that cannot go back into the wild for various reasons - permanent injuries are usually the cause for this. While they're not open to the public for things like tours, volunteer opportunities abound here for those who want to get a little closer to the animals and learn how to care for, appreciate, and live as one with nature. They also have an annual open house, usually in the fall, for another opportunity to see how things are run.
