Loved D's and their customer service but Bug Out transition was an absolute mess. They came once and then continued to schedule appointments for me with no communication. I would get a random autocall at the end of the week that they were coming Monday with no way to contact them. Usually they didn't come, sometimes a person would text or call they were coming while I was driving to work and I'd have to explain all of this again. After almost 2 years of getting no help locally stopping the calls they sent me an overdue payment notice for a service that neve happened. I called their national and had myself completely purged from their system. Never again, use Rustys. read more

I am not one to leave many reviews - I however have been very frustrated. I was charged for a service I was not present for - and keep calling to be refunded. They offered a reduced rate to come finish the service. I accepted. Then they charged me an additional full-price for the make up service! I've tried three time to get this refunded, but no one seems to be on the same page. They keep saying it'll be fixed, and then it gets worse, and I call again - rinse, repeat. The manager is supposed to take care of it next, I certainly hope they do - I don't think I'll be returning to this service otherwise - perhaps not even then. It's a shame, becuase they are all very nice people that I've interacted with. But I don't know what else to do except save someone else from experiencing the frustration I've felt. read more

We were with D's for years. then they sold to bug out and it's been terrible ever since. I just cancelled my annual service because I was told it would take a few days to re schedule an appointment. They are not local and called me one time at 7:00 am to schedule. Had no idea what time it was in Texas. Don't waste your $ $$ or time. read more

I used D's pest control for over 20 years for termite treatment and an annual warranty inspection. Since they were bought out by "Bug Out" the service has been terrible, completely unacceptable. You can't talk to a local person who does the actual work, their voice menu system is infuriating, and now they have billed me $150 for the annual termite inspection when they haven't come out and done it yet. Supposedly they now require pre-payment. No, I don't think so. I had them come out on Feb 8 2024 for an estimate on pre-emergent treatment. The guy was obviously new and didn't know what he was doing. A couple of weeks went by and I realized that they never came out. I'm walking away from the termite "warranty." I'll take my chances. I can't do any business with this company. read more

Used D's for years and loved their services. After the Bug Out acquisition, we are over it. It's easier to get an appointment with the cable guy than it is to get your pest control and I just can't go through this exercise quarterly. Will be switching to a more customer-friendly and more accessible company for future needs. read more

Very unprofessional. They don't fulfill their obligations after payment. They don't return calls or keep scheduled appointments. Alex says one lie after another. And management dodges calls about neglected service. I paid for a year of weed control and haven't seen them in months. Typical small business now days. Dba D's Pest Control, Bugout has not inspected my termite stations in over 22 months. I continue to receive bills from them even though they are not doing the required inspections. Management has not returned my call to address the issues. I can't recommend them. read more

Used D's for 20 years. When Bugout took over they billed me for a year contract without my approval for $600! After many calls to management, no response just more bills. $600 for a simple small yard spray. Then the guy tries to high pressure me into termite service that I don't need. Rip off company. Decided to use Bug Tech after we discovered that we had a bed bug infestation. After 5 treatments. Let me repeat, 5 TREATMENTS & several thousands of dollars later & we still could not resolve our bed bug issue. There were times we would come home after a treatment and we could not even smell the slightest of odor from the Bug Tech Technician's treatment. Honestly, I'm under the impression that they just showed up to take our money. Finally, we decided we needed to try someone different. We chose D's Pest Control. After only 2 treatments and around $800, we have finally won the battle between us and the bed bugs. After each treatment, you could tell that they physically moved items around your home and could actually smell the treatment, unlike Bug Tech's invisible odorless "poison". IF you want to save your money and want excellent results, avoid Bug Tech and choose D's Pest Control. read more

I moved into a brand new home in June of 2018, and couldn't believe the amount of critters that showed up without pest control. Being new to Lubbock, I wasn't sure who to call, so I decided to give D's Pest Control a shot... and I am so glad I did! Not only have I not seen a single bug, but the customer service reminds me of what the service industry used to be like. Wallace has been our trusty pest technician since the beginning. He is always on-time, knowledgeable, and really, just a joy to talk with. He's so nice and personable that it feels more like he's a neighbor than someone who sprays our house every few months. D's Pest Control has everything you could ask for in a company - A service that follows through on what it promises and a technician who is there to deliver it with the friendliness you can only hope everyone could possess. First Yelp review, I'm that upset. They called me 3 hours before my appt. time and asked that I move it back due to another job- I asked to leave it since I had rearranged my work schedule and found alternative shelter for my pets so the original appt time was kept; however, the technician spent less than 45 minutes at my house and explained he needed to get back to the other job. I was then charged $150 when I had been quoted $110 ($80 for front/back yard, $110 with house) - I was told that was always the price and "they talk to a lot of people". Finally, I was then told that the fleas will come back in about 21 days and had the flea larval stages explained to me......... do I want to go ahead and schedule my full -price follow-up appt.? I declined. I will not use this company again. read more

I have use D's Pest Control at home and at my company more than 100 times. They have always been punctual, courteous and informative. It has been my experience that not enough people post reviews that had a good experience but the few that had a bad experience quickly slander a company.
