Truthfully was left very disappointed in my blow out and how my hair turned out. Overall service and ambiance was nice, however, the work product was not good. I left the salon with too much product weighing down my hair, no volume and half curled hair. It was so bad it was laughable. I initially told my stylist that I have trouble holding volume in my hair and would most likely need rollers. She seemed to struggle with my hair (lots of hair but fine so it gets weighed down) and added too much product making it fall even more. Overall she was blowing out my hair for a while then left the rollers in for a short period that definitely wasn't long enough to impart volume. This was all followed up by using a curling iron on a few pieces of hair. I felt like a more seasoned hair stylist may have approached the task with a different technique and didn't feel confident in the stylists ability. This is in no means a reflection on the salons customer service as everyone was very nice. Would not come back and regret spending the money on this service. read more

I've always loved this specific dry bar location. The manager is always so kind and accommodating, she's so sweet. The stylists are kind and work great together when help is needed for people with long thick hair with extensions. They're also very nice and professional. Unfortunately when it comes to how my hair looks afterwards it's absolutely terrible. It's frizzy, not what I asked for and overall just terrible where I immediately had to fix it at home after paying over $100 since they raised their prices. Also, be careful with certain products they add on to your hair, they will not tell you it's an extra $15 and then charge you at check out. She asked if I wanted it I said sure why not, never told me it would be $15 and I found out as I checked out. I told the receptionist but she didn't seem to care and charged me anyways. I wasn't going to argue over $15 but still not acceptable. Which the product did not work my hair is extremely frizzy. Not smooth, shiny or straight. The women are extremely nice but when it comes to the quality of work, absolutely terrible in terms of hairstylists. Do not recommend and will not be returning. read more

Best place for Mommy-Daughter time! I just love coming here. This was my first visit to this location. Dry Bar had established safety procedures starting with a survey on COVID-19. You are asked to remain in your car until they message you they are ready. Once inside, I was greeted and had my temperature taken. Then, it was hair wash and prep time. They show you the style menu and they are off working hard. The staff was very friendly and very patient with my daughter. She was all smiles the whole time. BEWARE: DryBar has grown past the ability to talk to a person at the location and even their call center sometimes doesn't go through leading to having to use the website and it can cause confusion. When we first called the location we wanted on Tuesday (Hyde Park), we got a prompt that went in circles and you couldn't even get through to talk to someone. So we had to book online and a team member accidentally booked 1/2 hour away because we put in Tampa as a location and it chose Carollwood as the top closest location to downtown and she got confused. When we arrived to Hyde Park and found out we were in the wrong location we couldn't talk to a person at the other location, they said we couldn't do our upgrades apparently and there was no way to talk to them. We didn't want to drive 25 mins away and then encounter another problem. Even the Hyde Park could only "message" Carrollwood. No phone. Just so disappointing. We had to talk to a DryBar call center man to submit a ticket for a request for refund. I have always wanted to try DryBar and I am literally their target market, but now I'm so disheartened by the way that it is so impersonal you can't even talk to the manager to figure out solutions to problems. Without being able to call the place you want, and the phones down, we felt like we were set up for failure. Now I'm $60 out, going through our day with dirty hair and will we will never try DryBar again. Our group of 3 felt like a number instead of people. Just so sad. read more

I have actually been to several Drybars before but she had so much more knowledge and shared some really great tips with me throughout our session. My appointment started exactly on time...it was also pretty fast considering how thick my hair is and the style so I really appreciating that in my busy day. Prior to her starting she asked some really great questions of what I was looking for and came up with a really great look! I absolutely LOVE it!! It's a hit or miss. Every time I go in there. I've have some good services and some bad ones. I was trying to give it a chance by going multiple times to see if I can find a stylist I loved. But unfortunately there was only one and she left. Ever sense then my scalp massage add on was not worth the money. Do not go to this place or the Carrolwood location! I held a blowout membership at this place for 6 months. I booked an "Uptini" it's called which is a wash, blowout, and updo. I booked this appointments two months in advance for a specific time due to attending a formal event. I arrived at the hair appointment, and was told that the "Uptini" does not include a wash/blow out when I know for a fact it does as I had them prior at DryBar. Additionally, when booking an "Uptini" in the app it allocates 75 minutes when they decided to cut my appointment time short, lie about it not including a wash and blowout when they could've easily done the right thing and asked me to come in early instead of lying. Anyways, it continued to get worse because at the end of my shortened/half service, they had the nerve to charge me the $99 price. When I questioned why I was being charged for the service, the receptionist wouldn't give clarity or get the manager. I put the $99 charge and am not disputing the charge with my credit card company, and when I reached out to the managing partner of the Tampa location she never answered! Obviously at this point I am trying to cancel my membership because I don't want to continue giving business to this company and it was to the point where tried on 3 different occasions calling & emailing with no response. Luckily I go to the dry bar location in Denver frequently and reached out to that location, and the managing partner there was fantastic and able to cancel my membership. Oh and another FYI- the managing partner of Tampa locations/Jax isn't even a licensed hair stylist and she's done my hair before. Avoid these locations at all costs! A great alternative is Cherry Blow Dry Bar in Brandon, Florida. It's the same exact thing as Dry Bar except they have expanded services including makeup, hair cuts, lashes. Additionally, the prices are way more reasonable! I would pay $180/month at Dry Bar for 4 blow outs a month when Cherry only charges $120! read more

Such a disappointment to my 10 year old daughter who was so excited about her appointment. After she patiently waited 35 minutes, she stood there while the staff told her that she didn't matter because the next appointment was more important than she was.   I booked a reservation for my daughter to have her hair done for her picture day at school. Then an hour before my daughters appointment, I received a text that they were running behind and asked if I could come in 10 minutes late for the appointment. Once we arrived, my daughter waited 35 minutes before they said that they wouldn't be able to do the appointment because her appointment would make the next appointment late. I said that was not acceptable since this was a scheduled appointment and she has already been waiting for 35 minutes. After going back and forth, they said that her appointment was booked wrong (they booked the appointment) and that they couldn't do the appointment because the next appointment would then be late. Finally they offered to do something quick that was nothing like what I had booked. All they kept saying was that the next appointment could not start late and that the appointment was booked wrong (again, the appointment that was booked by them days earlier). The staff had me sit and wait for a half hour past my appointment time. They didn't mention they were running behind or offer any apologies in the beginning... they just let me sit there waiting. The whole blowout is supposed to only take 45 minutes so by the time they started my hair should have been close to the time I was supposed to be done. I had family photos and this set my whole family completely behind. Once I complained about the wait they did apologize and took $10 off my service but that doesn't make up for the stress of having to rush to get my family ready and to make us late for our photos. In addition, within an hour of leaving the appointment my hair was flat and no curls were left. I told the stylist that my hair doesn't hold curl very well so I asked her to do tight curls. Instead she just followed the look book which was loose curls... so of course an hour later it's flat. And while I know my hair doesn't hold curl well it holds much better after I even do it by myself at home. The whole reason I paid for this service was to take off the stress of doing this myself and to do a better job then I can at home. This was a complete waste of my time and money. I wish had read the reviews here before booking. This is my first and last visited The stylist was kind and polite during my service. read more
