I went on a Friday during the day before a holiday party. I booked an appointment for 3pm but was early. When I arrived they were busy but the receptionist was kind and checked me in. Once the next person was available, it was my turn. For this visit, I chose to do a dry style for time. Justin came to greet me and was kind. Justin asked what style I was looking for and I said something curly and to use some extra product (if possible) so that it holds. Justin showed me a couple of different options and I said live your best life and be creative. Justin used the wand so that my hair would be curled until the end while also using products for volume and to help the style hold. It took just about 30 minutes and my hair was done and was perfect! Thanks to the product it smelled amazing and looked amazing. My hair held the whole night and was exactly what I was hoping for. First timer here at Dry Bar. I typically go to my regular hair stylist for stuff like this but she wasn't available. Made an appointment online specifically for a morning before an event where I knew I would be in a lot of photos. Ultimately, the service boosted my confidence and got compliments, as I had hoped. I liked the stylist I worked with (Kheava, she was great) and the location itself was clean and convenient. I got the Cosmo style and would recommend my stylist specifically. But I don't know that I would come back. My initial impressions were negative, as I wasn't greeted and staff didn't seem ready for my appointment. I called on my way because I couldn't find the building (it's over by Cycle Bar) and no one answered - the ringer appeared to be turned off. Not a good look. I had an appointment (as did the lady who entered after me) and for whatever reason, there was no receptionist and the two stylists who saw me didn't say anything. I realize hair dryers are loud but we're talking zero acknowledgement. Not a good vibe. When the male stylist brought his client around from the wash room ten minutes later, he was the one to greet and welcome us. I booked here based on the company's reputation and felt the service itself wasn't up to par. Their monthly memberships aren't a bad deal but there isn't a location convenient to me on the NW side and I would expect longer lasting results - my hair only held up for the second day. When getting blow outs from my regular stylist, I can stretch it for nearly the full work week. Other recent reviews mention this as well. Also, the website and in-store signage indicate that there should be some sort of discount for first timers, but at no point was I able to find a discount code nor did anyone mention anything. I couldn't explain how excited I was that I was able to make a same day appointment. I headed straight there after work. But to my surprise, they called me quickly after I booked to cancel me because they didn't have someone who could do the blowout with my extensions. I'm sorry, what?!?! That doesn't make sense as I feel like that should be part of the job description since the service is offered. I've been going to this particular drybar for years...and I have yet to write a bad review even though I've had some questionable experiences. Drybar used to be the only place in town to get a blowout without paying salon prices - but a simple Google search will show you that's a thing of the past. And if you read the rest of the reviews - you can see drybar a cult following is quickly diminishing. My stylist barely touched my scalp when she wash washing my hair when I paid extra for scalp massage. She explained that she couldn't massage my scalp well because her nails were too long. My stylist on April 10th 2022 did a wonderful job! HOWEVER, front receptionist 0 stars. I delayed this review because I didn't have time to dwell on this negativeness. I was about 5-10 minutes early to my appointment. I waited for my stylist to finish her guest. I waited about 10 minutes past my appointment time at 12:15pm. So at 12:25 ish I was seated with my stylist. Upon checking in I was greeted by the receptionist, she stated I was here for a blowout however in my appointment you can see I booked a dry style, I corrected her and she didn't say anything. Once I was finally seated and by the way my stylist did an amazing job per usually with dry bar stylist she literally only took 15 mins for my hair and I was out by 12:40 . I was pretty happy with my hair as usually Dry bar stylist never disappoints! Then, once I went to pay the receptionist stated my hair was wet and I never saw any communication my stylist had with the receptionist or any statement saying from my stylist I was wet. Also for reference my hair was dry but I did put some in some products due to the texture of my hair which needs the protection and extra help. But again my hair was DRY. The stylist asked if I wanted to use blow dry or straightener I said whatever you think ! I ended up being charged for a blowout. If that were the case I would have just had them do my entire wash. I have had many other blowouts and dry styling and was super disheartened with the dishonesty of the receptionist and horrible communication. I didn't let this bad location/receptionist ruin my love for Dry bar. However I will never support this location. Overall, I always enjoy my experience at this Drybar. The staff is friendly and professional and really works to achieve the look you are going for. My stylists have always made great conversation and I have always enjoyed my interactions with them. The interior is gorgeous. I am only giving four stars for two reasons: First, the last few times I have visited, the temperature when they wash the hair changes drastically mid-wash. It will go from hot to cold on it's own. My stylist did apologize for this, but seeing as though this has happened on multiple occasions, it should probably be looked into. Secondly, my curls don't seem to last when I go to Drybar. This is not specific to just this location- it may be the products themselves... I'm not sure what the issue is. When I see my normal hair stylist or if I do my hair myself my curls last a few days- certainly longer than one night. My hair feels great and I can always add curls again. I just have had better hold of styles at other Dry bar salons in town personally so I cannot give it a true 5. read more

I hate to have to give an updated review of 2 stars when my first review was 5 stars. Even my 2nd visit here was great but my 3rd visit which was just on 10/09/2022 was just horrible!!! I made my appointment online in the late AM of Friday. I did request Katie but unfort. didn't get her, she wasn't working. I got Joanna. I showed her a picture of a cosmo that I had done there by Katie & Jasmin & told her that was what I wanted. I got a cosmo about 1 mth ago @ the Drybar in the Cosmopolitan hotel & the girl there didn't curl a lot on top of my head so it made my head look really big, which it isn't....lol I showed her that picture & told her that I didn't like how the top wasn't curled so I didn't want to end up with something like that. Joanna was very confident & told me she would do what I had asked for. This made me feel good! Once she was finished I had her take a pic of the back of my hair. I was in shock when I first saw it & immediately I didn't like it. It looked nothing like the photo I showed her. I was honest & told her right away that I didn't like it. She asked "what can I do to fix it?" Wasn't sure if this was a trick question because she's the one doing my hair?? LOL Told her it didn't look like the photo I showed her & I wanted it to have more curls so she worked on that. Once she was done & took another pic for me & I looked @ it............OMG it was worse!! My hair looked so messy. I told her again "I don't like it." She wasn't sure what to do, told me she was going to go talk to someone & see if she could get help. She came back alone & tried to fix it again which it still looked nothing like the photo I showed her. At this point I'm so upset. I was going to a concert that night & wanted to get my hair done for it. The last thing I expected was to have such horrible results. I was thinking to myself I'll just go home & try to fix it. I mean what else could I do if she couldn't fix it & didn't have a solution? I felt bad telling her I didn't like it but I needed to tell her to see if she could fix it? She did a good job with my bangs though. The reason for my 2 stars today is what happened when I went to check out. Per my receipt the girls name is America S. Immediately when I went up to the counter I told her "I don't like my hair" I told her this several times. I showed her the picture of what I wanted & the pictures of what Joanna did. I was praying that this girl would help fix the problem. Well she did say "I'm sorry" which was appreciated (thank you) but then says "that will be $55.00." I was in shock like OMG, "hey I'm sorry you hate your hair but please pay $55.00 now." I was in disbelief. She told me she could put on my file to never get Joanna to do my hair again. I was just getting ready to ask to speak to a manager & another stylist Sol came over & asked if she could help me. I quickly explained to her my situation & she took me right over to her chair to fix my hair. The girl working next to her had told me she saw my facial expressions while I was talking to America & knew I was not happy so she told Sol to go over to me. OMG Sol did an AWESOME job & fixed it!! She made it look like my picture. I was soooooo happy!! I wanted to give her a cash tip but needed change. I asked America for change & that's when I found its cash only. Luckily I was able to add another tip onto my transaction for her. So once I left there I headed to a few stores in the district & when I was in Sephora I went to check out my hair in a mirror & noticed it was flat. UGH!! What in the world?? Once I got to a restaurant to grab some lunch I had an employee take a picture of the back of my hair & pretty much most of the curls were gone 2hrs post blow out & my hair was flat. OMG what happened??? I've been to a Drybar 5 times & this was the 1st time that this has happened?? Was it something Joanna washed my hair with, put in my hair..IDK??? I know they have their own products but I don't have a clue what went wrong?? I ended up having to curl it once I got home. So unfort. my other reason for giving my review 2 stas today is because of the outcome of the style. I'm not sure if I will go back her for my next blow out?? This was the worst hair experience I have ever had. Decided to treat ourselves to blowouts before a bachelorette. Not only were they an hour late for my sister's appointment but they were 45 minutes late for mine. In the middle of my service my hair stylist just walks out to take a phone call. 15 minutes pass with no hair stylist I explain that I have somewhere to be and by this point it's too late for me to be able to drive home to do my own hair so it needs to get done. One of the other girls finishes her own client and then comes to finish mine. We find out that we were over charged for an oil treatment that was never received, the stylist said that we did received it, confirmed that it was actually never completed, and STILL after all of that, no refund. I was traveling out of the country and needed a blowout to last a couple of days, so I booked the morning of and received a great time slot. I only had to wait a few minutes before being helped. I got a shampoo, head massage, and a great blowout. The blowout only lasted 2 days- I suspect because there was such a change in environment, and because there was too much product in my hair, but it was worth not worrying about for 2 days. Was heading to my hair stylist's baby shower and realized I couldn't show up without my hair looking fab so I searched for blowout bars with same day availability. Enter Drybar! They had an appointment available for me so I snatched it up and headed over. The entire place is very clean and the classic grey and yellow color scheme is throughout. Aireka did my hair and I also added a scalp massage. Highly recommend the scalp massage, I almost fell asleep it was so relaxing. 24hrs later and my hair is still smelling and looking fresh and I grabbed some travel products for on the go maintenance. I had a great first time Drybar experience. I got my hair done by the assistant manager. I'm sorry that I don't remember his name but he was blonde with long hair that was up in a bun. He was very friendly and attentive in explaining everything for my first visit. I was having headshots done for my real estate business later in the day and the hair held up all day long. Thank you Zoe for a wonderful blowout! My friend had the idea to get blowouts for a wedding later that night. We came in as a group of three at 1230 on a Friday and it wasn't super busy when we first arrived, but I'm so happy we had appointments because as we were sitting have our services done there were many ladies coming in. This location does allow walk ins, but appointments are preferred and the safer bet if you are on any kind of time constraint, and especially on the weekends. Their website lists the hairstyle options as well as quite a few add on options if you want to get ideas ahead of time, or you can ask for a "look book" when you arrive. Zoe did a great job washing and drying my hair, paying close attention to the roots as my hair has a tendency to be very wavy/curly. She listened closely as I described the look I wanted and explained the products she was using in my hair. She asked a couple times if her brushing and pulling technique was hurting, it wasn't, but she was kind and thoughtful to ask. My friend was seated next to me and Kylie worked on her hair, Kylie also seemed so friendly and my friends hair was beautiful! The whole thing took just over an hour and was a relaxing experience. I look forward to coming back for my next special occasion where I want my hair to look extra nice! I LOVE a good blow out. And this review is not for any stylist. I travel for business regularly so I get blowouts often to avoid having to pack all my hair goodies. I made appointment at this location day of- their whole day was wide open. After I booked it and did my work out I jumped in the car and realized due to two traffic jams I wasn't going to make it on time. I called the location and left a message. I didn't want to waste time if they couldn't see me so I called again multiple times. No one picked up. When I arrived there were no clients of stylist in the salon. Just one gal at the front. After looking at my hair, the bottom 3 inches are fried off. At the end of the service she put an oil on my roots. She has work there for 1 month. They charge so much money for their products and not even halfway through a hairspray or a moose or anything that they sell it stops working their products just do not work. Contacted them and they said that they can't do anything about it. Which is fine but that just means to stop buying it. So please take note and do not buy any other products there are so many other things on the market that work better for less money. I know they have lost my travel business when I am away from Las vegas. They are absolutely the worst of customer service that I have ever seen. And the only higher newbies which do not know how to blow out hair it's good for 3 hours and then it goes sideways.
