I came in for a blowout. The service was affordable and I made the reservation by phone a few days prior. The salon is so cute with tons of yellow elements. When I arrived and checked in, I was offered a beverage. I was then sat at a station to discuss styling preferences. The shampoo and conditioning was relaxing and comfortable. I have natural hair and was surprised that they were able to work with my textured hair. They had a detangling + heat protectant product that made the detangling process easier and then they used a coarser brush for blow drying. My stylist was so patient and skilled. The blowout comes with the ability to get it straightened. I decided not to use a heating tool but I plan to return again and try it out next time. Worst customer service I had in my life. I made an appointment for an extension wash, blow out and style. 20 min on the phone with receptionist explaining what I was needing. Due to the festival, beyond my control I was 12 minutes late. I called and was told no problem. During check in I was told they could only dry style me, I said the wash was what I mainly needed. I was told I could not have anything other than the wash. that they had other appointments. I said ok can you do as much as you can in the time allotted. now the next customer wasn't due to get there until 2pm, at 1:40 she just quit on my hair, I offered to even pay 100$ to have them work on me until the next client but they said they don't work that way. so not only did I leave with wet hair but my stylist lost out on time and money. she had to wait for next client while I left wet headed. make it make sense. they treated me like Julia Robert's got treated on rodeo drive. horrible place. it was the manager and her 2 groupies. You never know who you are disrespecting. this will not be last you guys will hear of this. I'm the wrong one to treat like that. remember who Richard Gere ended up being. Update to previous post so after my yelp review, the owner called me had me come back up there, the manager was not there, I don't know if she sent her home or what but one of the mean girls was still there, she wanted me to have a great experience, now I have done canceled plans for the day because we had plans, came back up here now mind you I paid for the terrible Shampoo that she had to redo because the shampoo wasn't good so I already had paid $40 for that, get back here expecting you know they're going to take care of you, no they didn't. Would not recommend for Curly/Kinky hair. I called before hand to verify that they were able to provide service for my kinky curly hair and they assured me they could. During my service I could tell the hairstylist was not equipped with the skills to service my hair type properly. As she didn't know how to blow dry my hair correctly and repeatedly tried to brush and comb my hair improperly ripping it out constantly. Another stylist had to come over and explain to her how to blow dry my hair and tried to help her. After my service, I relayed this to the front desk as I was paying that I was dissatisfied and was told all stylist are trained the same. read more

Absolutely loved my blowout! It lasted an entire week! My only complaint is the front desk. The person there was the slowest and most unhelpful person I have ever encountered. Took over 30 minutes to receive my drink and waited over 30 minutes to be called up, even with an appointment. At first I didn't plan to leave a review because I thought my experience was completely me fault. A week later I am deciding to write this review because I'm so distraught. I came to the dry bar a little uneasy and nervous because I am AA and was nervous about the knowledge to be able to care for my hair. I booked a wash and blow dry. I was told at the start of my service I should get the flatiron as well because it's all the same price . Excited to get pampered because i so often have to wash and blow dry my own hair. I shared with the stylist I had a Quickweave prior to take down and there is a lot of glue residue I shared how nervous I was to come to this salon as well we laughed and joke and overall her personality was good. She mentioned at the wash bowl it being a lot of glue (I've had glue residue left over after washes before a blowout and had to make the hard decisions to keep my hair wet and condition and few days longer a knowledge I have without a hair license) well she proceeded and said it would take a few washes and I trusted her we proceeded with the blow out were clumps of my hair came out with leftover glue that she hid under a towel my roots also never got try she whisper next time try a sew in I left in pain but not wanting to do the most given the environment I was in. Thought the day clumps of my hair came out I still decided not to cause a scene I cried my tears alone and proceeded with the day well today I took some time to oil my scalp up close and have now see actual BALD spots in my head . I'm so hurt and upset I've always had thick hair and stayed away from chemicals to keep it. I'm just really hurt and upset that at the wash bowl the decision wasn't decided if we'd like to blame the glue to tell me as a stylist I need a few more days and few more conditions this could have completely been avoided read more

I had a blowout here while visiting Nashville. My stylist was Mario. He gave an amazing wash and my blowout was outstanding. I'm 3 days in and it still looks like it was just done. All the staff were lovely. And they didn't have loud, blaring obnoxious music like some other Drybars I've visited in different states. The Drybar franchise is such a great concept. I love the idea of it and their branding is great with the black, white and bright yellow colors. I've enjoyed many blowouts at this location and the one in Brentwood. The reason for my 3 stars is I've been highly disappointed with my most recent experiences so much so that I cancelled my membership. My complaints: 1) The app does not tell you how many blowouts you've accrued. Your credit card gets charged each month but you can't see how many credits you have. You can't find this info on the website either. As advanced as technology is these days, you'd think this would be an easy fix. 2) The spray hose at 2 of the 4 sinks at this location is broken. No consideration was given to let me know ahead of time. Before arriving for my blowout, I had just done my makeup for an event. When my stylist began shampooing my hair, she misted water all over my face due to the broken hose. When I said something, she shrugged it off and said they had no choice but to continue using the broken hoses because they "couldn't go down to just 2 sinks." Then she continued to spray my face. Unacceptable and terrible customer service! 3) One of the main reasons I go here is to pamper myself so I always add the optional scalp massage. My stylist confirmed with me that I wanted to add the massage before heading back to the shampoo bowl. Then she shampooed and wrapped up my hair and said to meet her at her chair. She had forgotten about the massage and then they attempted to charge me for it anyway. I had to tell them I didn't receive it. Not only was it NOT a relaxed, pampering experience, I actually left there tense and stressed from the experience. This is a great opportunity for management to look into addressing issues before they lose any more loyal customers. My advice for you: If you decide to go here, be sure to ask ahead of time if the hose at the shampoo bowl is working properly. read more

Chardonnay gave me a bomb blowout and went above and beyond for my hair! I have brand new extensions and was a little apprehensive to get my hair blown out as everyone knows extensions are a HUGE investment and wasn't sure who I could trust. Thankfully, I was referred to Chardonnay and I was blown away by her skill! She was so easy to talk to and work with as she graciously accepted the hair care products I brought in from home and truly took her time cleansing my scalp without pulling my extensions. She carefully brushed my hair and gave me a beautifully crafted blowout. She knows extensions! If you are in the same boat as me I highly recommend scheduling your appointment with her! I'd like her all to myself so I'll probably regret encouraging others to book with her but we all deserve to feel our best and she ensures you do from start to finish. read more

I have a lot of DryBar products at home and I love them! So, I thought why not try out the storefront for a blow out! I got the Old Fashioned style which is old Hollywood style curls. It was 55+ tip. They were nice, but the store felt like a cookie cutter fever dream. With lots of white and yellow, it just felt so staged and weird. I honestly would probably go to a local salon next time. They offered me a drink which was nice, but the champagne flute was plastic and had some wear on it, so it looked unwashed, but I am sure it just was old. As for my hair, I didn't love it. The product made my roots look stale and greasy. My hair fell out 30 minutes after my appointment, and my hair holds curls/style for days. I don't want to insult any stylists because they were kind and professional. It is not their fault. I just think DryBar is kind of a sham. Buy the hair dryer or shampoo, but don't spend 55 on a blow out here. read more

I have been to 3 other Dry Bars and was pleased, but my curls fell out after less than 2 hours and the stylist didn't put a heat protectant on my thin blond hair, and chunks of my hair fell out because the heat was too high without putting a heat protectant on first. From start to finish, I felt very comfortable being there (although the chairs weren't my favorite to relax in). I've never received a blowout before so it was all sorts of new for me! From walking in the door and being offered a drink, to the process itself, Drybar Nashville is a perfect addition to the neighborhood! Drybar Capitol View, we simply don't deserve you! I've been a Barfly when I was a resident of both LA and Denver and have visited countless others. This particular location is TOP notch. Bible, a huge drawback of moving to Nashville for me was the lack of a Drybar. If you're a tried and true blowout gal you know that nothing else compares. This location is always well staffed, everyone is friendly and welcoming, and the owner is there almost every time I've been in. The free and plentiful garage parking makes this one of my favorite locations. Using the Drybar app I have never had a problem making an appointment at my desired time, and my appointments always start on time. I've never left with a bad blowout but have to shout out Chardonnay and Emily who have given me some of the best blowouts I've had in my LIFE. Here's my final tips: 1. Let the stylists use alllllll the product in your hair and don't be afraid of a little heat! It's so necessary for a good blowout! 2. I forgot to click "confirm appointment" when I booked an hour before I was set to go (for a 7pm appt that the system was letting me make even though they close at 8), so my appointment never made it to their system. When I arrived, of course no record of my appointment, which I realize now was my fault but at the time I was an unhappy camper. They were saying they might be able to accommodate me, then 20 min later I was told because I didn't have a confirmed appointment that they wouldn't be able to provide the service. I was offered a dry style (no thanks...my hair was grease city) or a comped blowout at a later date. This salon gave great service and I loved my blowout. It was kind of expensive but that's the situation I guess. The only problem were the hair products themselves which has nothing to do with the salon. They are so over fragranced and really made my hair feel dry.
