It's simply not appropriate to add a tip screen for a job of this kind and one so expensive. In addition, tips are for exceptional service. How is the average customer supposed to know if they've received exceptional carpet service? Lastly, the tip screen at check out also creates an awkward moment between the customer and the tech in the customer's own home. This is most unacceptable. Dry-N-Clean should pay their own employees what they think they deserve and charge accordingly. That should not be left of to the customer.

She organized it with me and they got it all. I also opted to have the carpets cleaned, having acquired a few stains over the years from my rampaging little munchkin, and by the time they left everything was basically as good as new... I was pretty impressed. All that said, the biggest thing for me was the flexibility and attitude. After I'd missed an appointment (My phone alarm clock failed me!) she was still graciously able to work with me and get all of the cleaning done before my deadline to have photos taken of the home - Something for which I'll always be grateful. Ground-in greasy stains everywhere, black dirt trails in the high traffic lanes, and some dog tinkle in a few small places. Some other company had allegedly worked on it beforehand, but it didn't look like they had made any difference. We chose Chem-Dry because we liked their natural/nontoxic soaps, and also because they don't flood the carpet with gallons of water. It's berber, so we wanted to keep the water to minimum. Everyone we spoke with at Chem-Dry was super nice. They arrived on time the next morning. They were friendly, organized, and professional. It was a fun, comfortable afternoon with some great guys who truly seemed to care. They stayed for a long time until they got it perfect. Our carpet was dry by next morning, and the stains did not return. Here we were thinking the carpet had to be trashed, but Chem-Dry literally saved it, good as new.
