My house flooded when a toilet valve popped off. It was clean water but the damage was extensive. The showed up with dehumidifiers and fans that were supposed to be moved every twenty four hours this was a Sunday and they did not show back up until Wed when I complained b/c it was 86 degrees in my home from the humidifiers which kept tripping breakers. My furniture was left to be de-contaminated while I stayed in a hotel. My furniture, clothing, table wear, family heirlooms, were all thrown away even though there was not water or mold. They claimed Allstate was no longer willing to pay for the storage. I had Allstate on speaker phone in the Serv-Pro office saying that was not true. Worst yet my furniture was guaranteed and Ashley would have replaced it if it hadn't been thrown away. Even with and insurance pay out. There was no way to replace my family heirlooms or most of my furniture. I would say 75% of my belongings were lost and they simply didn't care. They stonewalled me until fighting this was no longer worth it. I don't know that I will ever recover.

I was quoted almost $900 to snake the toilet. When I said I wasn't paying that much, I was then quoted $506 to snake it through a drain. The snaking took literally 3 minutes, after my wife was told to do several things in another toilet in the house herself. $98 was charged for "products". The only "product" used or provided was Roto-Rooter preventative pipe shield. 1 gallon. Walmart sells it for $20. For what I was charged for a 3 minute job, I could have bought a plumbing snake and a years supply of the "product" I was sold. I'm beginning to think the plumbing community is filled with companies who take advantage of customers and charge ridiculous prices for jobs that don't require the cost. I won't use them again after this experience. My drain is fixed and the man was nice but I don't like being raked over the coals financially for minimal work.
