I was cheerily greeted by a very nice young lady as soon as I walked in. They had some very cute American Flag bathing suits, but not in my size. She said, "All our sizes run small." We then had The Discussion about the need for larger women's sizes. True, this is a college town with lots of young women running around, but it's also The South where even the young women run large. No brag, just facts. I noticed even on the Clearance Rack that there was tons of stuff in the S, M, L ranges, but the XL section was completely empty. I can tell you right now that's because the majority of their customers are XL. (In fitness-obsessed California it is the complete opposite situation: where the larger sizes are abundant & the smaller sizes are practically non-existent.) I did find a cute pair of shoes on the Clearance Wall, so I proceeded to the cashier. I don't know where he was from, but he mumble-talked in such a fast, clipped accent that I couldn't understand him & it came across as rude. He did also seem annoyed that I was making a purchase right before closing, but I didn't know it was closing until he locked the front door behind me. The surrounding stores stay open until at least 9, so how was I to know? 1 point off for that. Hopefully the situation will improve. There's another, smaller Dry Falls Outfitters store in Macon where the girls are really nice & ready to help. I will probably shop there from now on. I do hope they start stocking larger blouses, because they're really cute & I'm wanting to update my wardrobe. read more
