I love the work that is done by Dry Climate Studios run by writer Maria Kernahan. She has collaborated with artist Michael Schafbuch to write" C is for Chicago" and amazing story about Chicago and its culture and icons. I ordered the Chicago notecards which I wrote to my family and friends after I moved here and they absolutely loved the colorful, artistic and modern themes of Chicago landmarks like Cloud Gate aka "The Bean," or the Chicago Water Tower, or the snapshot of art from Alexander Calder's sculpture "The Flamingo" to the Pablo Picasso abstract art sculpture in Daley Plaza. Dry Climate Studios also sells matted prints of renditions of Wrigley Field (Go Cubs!) to other recognized spots in the city as well as coasters with scenes of Chicago. Maria and Michael are truly talented and I love their work! read more

While this business was suggested, I still reached out to 4 other printing companies but Mi-Te seemed reasonable and fair especially when it came to timelines and expectations. While we did have a few small hiccups, Terri was great to work with. She went as far as letting us use her double sided tape gun with 2 extra rolls! The only location open is Glencoe. I hope Marissa and I get to work with Terri again!

I was looking for Chicago music news. Trying to find a single source that talks just about…read moreChicago-centric things in the music. Came across this magazine a while back and still amazed they are not more known. They are pretty cool because they talk about not only my friends local band, but major acts that come through town too. They are crazy diverse. One article will be an interview with someone from Ministry and the next a review on Laura Marling. And I have yet to see a story on any flavor of the month bands. When I want to find out about music events happening around town, I don't have to wade through a ton of crap articles about food or gossip. They get to the point. What I really like about In The Loop Magazine is how they are apparently still independent and real. They are not filtered or censored -yet anyway. Love reading the original stories they do, although I wish they'd do more. Love the events calendar and how I can sync with it. The website is really clean, lots of stuff to read about, easy to navigate, cool videos and interviews I've never seen anywhere else again, including my friend local band. Not often you find somewhere that talks about the locals and the nationals. I love anything Chicago especially the Chicago music scene. These guys and gals get it. Nice job everyone! You've got me hooked! I'll stay in the loop with ya!
