Saied Music Company - Orchestra strings, violins, and bows

A Hidden Gem for Musicians!…read more Whether you're a beginner or pro, Saied's offers great prices on guitars, keyboards, and accessories--cheaper than online stores and Guitar Center. They also offer private lessons and a solid selection of books for teachers and students. For acoustic pianos, head to the 31st and Yale location, but for anything else, 71st has covered. Friendly, local atmosphere that beats big-box stores any day! As a professional music teacher and performer, I buy my books, equipment, and strings at Saied, and would recommend it to any other musician. Cheers!

Wow! Walked into this music store to price pro workstations…read moreand arrangers. I was rudely approached by a salesman on the acoustic piano side of the store who asked the cursory salesman question, "Can I answer any questions?" I replied, "No. Just looking." His response was to step a bit closer with his hands in his pocket and his posture exaggeratingly taller giving me a major stare. I asked if this was okay? He then asks, "I know you, don't I?" I said, "Nope. Not from here." His response as he is making me that much more uncomfortable with his glaring stare, "Oh, I know you! You are in here all the time!" He the stares me up and down staring at my shoes and then slowly moving up until he makes eye contact once again. I felt so uncomfortable by this point that I walked out of the store. Here is my suggestion to the owners of this music shop: When a customer walks into your store treat them with respect. The alternative: The 7 to 10Gs the customer was planning on spending on a pro keyboard arranger, workstation and podcast studio equipment will not ever be spent in your store.

The music world is full of good and bad dealers. This dealer is definitely one of the Best-left good ones!!!

22 years ago, I walked into Square deal to purchase my first guitar. Well, it didn't work out for…read moreme so 2 days later I had to bring it back. Mike was so cool. I ended up with a 3/4 acoustic classical style (that I still have) I was a 17 year old kid with 80 bucks in my pocket. He took the black electric guitar and amp back without any questions and proceeded to help me. He took the time to explain the differences between various acoustic guitars. He suggested something smaller with a wider neck and nylon strings to make it easier to learn. I left Oklahoma a year later and have lived all over the country and have been in hundreds of music stores. Since then, I have bought, sold and worked on dozens of guitars learning as much as I can along the way. I always remembered Mike's kindness. I came back to Muskogee for a week to help my parents out. I brought my little Blackstar Carry On electric travel guitar with me but found myself without any picks, a tuner, or a capo. So I looked to see if Square Deal was still around and sure enough it was. So I popped back in expecting to get in and out. I made a bee-line for the wall of accessories (i get easily distracted in music stores) and when Mike was done helping another customer, he came by and asked if I needed help. He hooked me up right away. But man, this guy loves what he does and he loves and appreciates his customers. We talked for a good 30 minutes about everything from travel, work, and of course guitars. He knows his stuff. He told me that his goal is that anyone off the street can get a good quality instrument that is affordable. And man, do they have some cool guitars in there. I told him that I remembered his kindness from years ago and you could tell that meant the world to him. This guy makes you feel like you've known each other for years. I walked in looking for a few accessories and walked out feeling grateful that there are still good, decent people in the world like Mike that run businesses that care about their customers. 10,000% recommend Square Deal.
