I would definitely recommend checking them out and they give you the first lesson free.

But what really stood out to me wasn't the prices, it was the character of the people working there. While I was checking out, an older woman came in trying to pawn some of her late husband's tools. She was a mother and newly widowed, and you could tell it wasn't an easy moment for her. At first, the staff didn't know the full situation, but once they understood what she was going through, they immediately stepped up in a way you just don't see often anymore. They offered to nearly double their original offer close to 100% more. From what I could tell, they absolutely paid more than the tools were worth, but they did it purely out of kindness and compassion. That kind of integrity and heart is rare these days. For what this review is worth, I truly hope they receive tenfold in blessings for the way they treated her.

SO DISAPPOINTED WE STILL LIVE IN A TIME LIKE THIS…read more.......... I visited J. Spencer on July 10, 2026, around 5:30 PM after a coworker told me they had wax warmers for only $3, and how good they smelled. Since I work just a couple of doors down, I walked over excited to check them out. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing from the moment I entered. Two white women and a child walked in just behind me. I was never greeted, acknowledged, or asked if I needed help. However, I could clearly hear the employees warmly greeting and interacting with the customers behind me and others who entered the store. After walking around the store twice trying to find the wax warmers, I finally had to call my coworker--the person who had recommended the store--to ask where they were located. She had to direct me to the exact spot over the phone, despite not even working there. When I found the wax warmers, I thanked her for helping me because no one in the store had offered any assistance. As a Black woman, the difference in how I was treated compared to the other customers left me feeling invisible and unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, customer service should be consistent for everyone. A simple greeting or "Can I help you find something?" would have completely changed my experience. as I got to the counter to make my purchase and the cashier asked me if I wanted to give my phone number then I communicated my disappointment in Customer Service as I was treated in the store today. To add to the irony, I ended up wasting my $3 because the wax warmers weren't even worth it. The ones from Walmart smell much better. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because every customer deserves to feel acknowledged and valued when they walk through the door. Please feel free to review your store footage as you can see that this is not a fake review. Treat all customers with dignity and respect no matter race, sex or gender.
