If I could give Jeff Drongowski a 10-star rating, I would in a heartbeat. Not only was he fantastic to work with--totally easy-going & funny & super-nice--he also created amazing shots, which for me, ain't always so easy. Why? Well, it turns out (and I learned this only from Jeff, no other photographer ever took the time to investigate it & help me figure it out) that my face does not react well to the standard 100mm lens that headshot/portrait photographers usually use. Whereas other people look great with it, for whatever reason my face/features look terrible, totally flattened out & thick & not at all what I look like in real life or on film. So after trying the standard 100mm & me almost breaking into tears once again, we moved to the 85mm & it was instantly better. Then he used the 50mm, & boom--there I was, just as I knew myself to be. It was fantastic to discover the answer to this problem that has been plaguing me for so long, & I felt completely free during the shoot--something that had never happened before! Also, Jeff really knows light--he was constantly moving around, moving towards me & away, & moving me to different spots, always finding the best light to show me off in the best possible way. The result: the most awesome freakin' photos of myself I have ever seen. Jeff shoots both natural light under the bridge on Ivar in Hollywood, & has his own studio in the Burbank/Glendale area. I would like the share the wonderful experience I have had working with Jeff Drongowski from Drongo photo. My wife and I recently got married and we were looking for a photographer who would really be able to skillfully capture are special day. My wife had looked at a few photographers but was not very happy with what she had come across. After a bit of searching a family friend had recommended Jeff from Dronog photo, so we decided to check him out. We found nothing but great reviews on Yelp and a beautifully designed website so we decided to contact Jeff. From start to finish Jeff was a joy to work with. He was always very friendly and professional. My wife had a very specific way as to how she wanted the pictures and video of the wedding to come out and Jeff made all that happen. During the wedding there were times when my wife was very stressed out but with Jeff there taking care of the photos and videos my wife had one less thing to worry about. After it was all said and done my wife and I were extremely happy with all the great photos and beautifully edited video Jeff had created for us. As an actor in L.A. the first thing you need is a solid photo to market yourself. After shooting with a handful of "photographers" I was referred to Jeff by an agent that was seriously interested in repping me. We met, shot and a few days later I was out auditioning. Jeff was a wonderful guy to have on the other side of lens. He brought out the best of me while making the whole experience light and simple. I couldn't have imagined a better experience with a professional photographer. Every actor knows that in order to get yourself out there in the acting world, you need a good headshot. And having just moved back after living six years in Hawai'i, I was a little nervous about giving it a try in a totally different arena. I didn't know what to expect and, to be honest, I was completely intimidated. I found him from web searching, and got a good feel from reviews. I checked out his website and absolutely loved his work. Jeff is incredibly talented with obviously more than just headshots. Thankfully I inquired headshot pricing and heard back from him. I got a great feel from Jeff right away. Even though I still researched a bit more to get other prices, I knew I Jeff was a good pic. As I did more and more headshots 101 research, I kept hearing how important it is to have the right photographer to do them. Some studios I came across were so cold or full of themselves. So this is a big lead up to say that Jeff gives both quality and quantity; and genuine sincerity to his subject. I am so happy he is the first person I met in starting out. We had a great photo shoot outdoors. It was incredibly comfortable, he gave me such great advice., and it was a lot of fun! I would highly recommend contacting him for any kind of photos you are looking for, I loved how mine came out. Not only did I feel I got a great package for the price, but the experience was more than worth it. And you should view this as an investment anyway. My company hired Jeff to come do an entire publicity package for us in Washington DC. In one weekend, we got backdropped headshots of a dozen people, and three location shoots, including group shoots and individual location shots. The photos that came from our shoot were amazing! We had so many good ones to choose from! Jeff was so fun to work with, he listened to our myriad demands and delivered spectacularly. When it came to touch up time, he outdid himself. I, as any typical American female, had a laundry list of issues I wanted touched-up in each photo. In November 2013, we were lucky enough to have Jeff as the photographer for our wedding. My fiance and I searched and interviewed many photographers for our wedding in Long Beach, Calif. and we had begun to lose hope in finding someone professional, affordable and who actually had passion for what they do. We were both stressed and very worried we might not ever find someone, and our wedding date was coming quickly.
