However-…read more The food has been changing, and not really for the better. the quality has remained good for all the old items, but every time they update their menu, the new item(s) is identifiably worse than the old items, so go quick before they swap it all their best stuff! The service is okay, most of the workers are either high school kids begrudgingly trying to make some cash or dedicated managers that love the establishment, so it's about a fifty-fifty split. The ambience is decent- somewhere between classic bbq and diner. It's neither the fanciest nor the cleanest, definitely leaving something to be desired BUT not much!

This could not have fit the bill any better than it did. For starters, the perfect fall weather, paired with the ample picnic benches, games, and dog-friendly nature of this spot should be enough to catch your attention. The friendly server also happened to have a similar dog to mine, and her energy added to the great vibes overall. The food was good and hit the spot. First time in I had a chicken sandwich and while it was a bit generic, or maybe a better term is replicable, it still landed for me. This time I got more of a BBQ platter with ribs, pulled pork, fries and Texas toast. It all was good, particularly the BBQ sauce. The ribs feel right off the bone and the pulled pork had a nice flavor. Good option if you're outside of Lawrence in the Eudora area.

We went inside and it immediately opened up to a large bar which was nice because I could know exactly what they had available on tap. We chose for a table and saw some games like darts, karaoke, etc. We ordered some apps like the nachos and bacon wrapped jalapenos. They were large portions and definitely were flavor bombs. I also ordered wings with mojo sauce which I recommend. The sauce was like a sweet tangy taste with a little bit of heat. I also ordered a cold beer to wash it down. I mean soo good. I had a Mojito to drink and I wasn't a fan. It had some kind of coconut flavor in it and I don't like coconut. I've never had one that had coconut in it before. Hubs had some kind of punch and it was tasty. I ended up getting one of those too andnit was nice. For meals, we both got wings. Our waitstaff misheard me and gave me boneless wings I stead of traditional wings as I ordered. No biggie. I ate them but I'm here to tell you, I'm not a fan of boneless wings. It's hunks of meat in sauce. Hubs got traditional wings as he ordered and he liked them. Overall, decent place with decent food. It's close so we'll be back.

He was so personable you felt like you've known him forever! It was hard to pick out our favorites from the shoot! The amount of patience and professionalism shown by Brant was incredible. He captured so many precious moments and was able to keep our kids engaged through the whole session. Brant took his time, getting to know us on a personal level before doing anything else, and as a result the quality of his work is not simply in the photos, but the experience, and the ultimate result. Brant was able not just to capture moments, but they distill them in such a way as to capture the beauty and soul of what is going on around them. You will not be disappointed. I wish Brant lived in our city, because if so he would be our photographer for all our special family photo sessions!

We have been here for Easter brunch two years in a row. Last year was fantastic, no notes. This…read moreyear was a bit of a letdown. The prime rib was dry, chewy, and a bit overcooked. That should be a centerpiece, and it was disappointing. There was one broccolini dish that the sign said was with lemon butter and cotija cheese, but appeared to be just steamed broccolini with absolutely no seasoning. I asked and was told they wanted to keep it vegan, but..... seriously, no salt? Pepper? Oil? Apparently not, just sad, plain broccolini. They did at least white out the accompaniments on the sign to correct themselves, so that's something I guess, but you really do expect something better from an establishment like this. The server was attentive to our drinks- the brunch was bottomless- but hard to find to get the check. The biggest weak spot both years has been the dessert table. There were perhaps five small desserts on a small cocktail table. Really not what you'd expect. The bacon was pretty good, however, you often find a lot of undercooked bacon on buffets. One conspicuously good thing is that, unlike so many other places on Easter, the tables were spaced well apart. Many places will pack the diners in like sardines, and this was not the case here- we had ample room to move about. Altogether, Grand Street needs to step it up for Easter Brunch. There just wasn't really anything special about it, and some elements were very much lacking. It didn't feel like a brunch you go to in celebration, which in my opinion an Easter brunch should. Nothing stood out, it was fairly plain [including decor] and it just needed MORE.

We ordered the buffet which includes an entrée from the menu and unlimited trips to the appetizer and dessert buffet for one price. For my entrée, I ordered the breakfast chimichanga. It was more wrap than anything. The filling was a lot of black beans. More than anything else was back beans. Hubs had the Prime Rib omelet and a waffle. He said that the slices are prime rib were very large which made the omelet seem more like a scramble with just prime rib. He really enjoyed the waffle. The teenager had pancakes which he said was good and the toddler had French Toast. The French Toast was very dough and she didn't like it and I don't blame her. It should have been cooked longer to rid that doughy texture. The buffet was nice though. The salads were good and the fruit was very fresh. One thing that happened, that the restaurant should take into consideration: hubs wanted the syrup. We had a small metal metal container that had cream in it for coffee and one that had warm syrup in it. I went to check which one was which and the syrup one was so hot and sticky, it got stuck on my finger. When I pulled my hand back, the whole container spilled all over me. Luckily, the syrup inside wasn't that hot, just the container it was in. There's no reason that container was that hot based on the lukewarm temperature of the syrup. Mark sprang into action, getting hot towels for me to clean myself up. Needless to say, I left very sticky. Overall, not a bad place. We will be back for brunch again, making sure to order different things. Mark was thw MVP though of that experience. I hope he's on task to become manager soon because he knew what he was doing.

Chef Sergio was laid back and funny. He told stories and explained the reason behind processes. I noticed there were typographical errors in the recipe sheets handed out. Chef was aware of them but didn't seem to care. Sometimes he did not follow the recipe exactly, using an order different from the recipe which made it confusing when we were released to our stations to prepare. The class ran from 6:30-10:30.
