Jobo met us at our hotel at 8 o'clock sharp and from there we spent the entire day seeing the wonders of the nearby mountains. We saw more in one day than I could have managed in three days, all without being rushed at all. It pays to have someone who is intimately familiar with the area as your guide. Although the information on the signage was more than sufficient, Jobo provided additional color regarding each of the stops. Jobo was very friendly, courteous, and it was an absolute pleasure to be in his company. The vehicle was very clean, stocked with ample water, and very well-maintained. I highly recommend ABest Transport and Tour Services Inc, and their "rider driven" philosophy, which Jobo exemplified. The next time that we are on holiday in Calgary, we know who we will contact for a tour.

He fell asleep because the bus smelled like urine, because they never emptied the bus's contents, the Air Conditioning was broken and people were throwing up due to heat exhaustion and then we crashed. In the end Traxx insulted me by barely offering me anything in settlement. Don't risk your life, don't use this piece of garbage company. They should be out of business for their extreme negligence almost killing me and 50 other people.

I've dealt with transportation related companies (mostly in a different province) so I don't know if the market is under-served or if I was missing something else critical - but I've never had issues like we had trying to engage a charter in Calgary. The bulk of companies just never responded to e-mail or phone requests for a quote (some ignored their on website "request a quote" forms, some ignored direct e-mail or phone calls, some ignored all three). Of those that did (eventually) reply (sometimes weeks later) quotes were wildly disparate, often unclear, or trying to sell us on vehicles clearly not suited for our specific needs. In one situation, after finally reaching a verbal agreement with a company for over a month and continually not being provided a contract they finally told us that they "didn't have any drivers" and cancelled the job. Annalise and the team at Traxx on the other hand actually *responded* to our request for a quote quickly, were clear in their quote, prompt in answering questions and getting the various contracts and schedules turned around. From our first contact to a signed contract took less than 48 hours. The service went off without a hitch, the driver was punctual, and the vehicle was clean and well maintained. Our guests told us that Geoffrey, the driver, was great - and in one case went above and beyond - adding in an additional stop to help one of our guests out. Their pricing was towards the higher end of what I'd expect to pay for charter bus service - but in this case we were happy to pay it for the professionalism and comfort that they brought to the job. Given the headaches we had dealing with several other companies in the city, we wouldn't hesitate to use Traxx again if we needed charter service in the area.

Review of Diversified Transportation - Prince George, BC Division Working for the Diversified Transportation Prince George division has been one of the worst experiences of my career. The management team offers zero support and shows blatant disregard for driver safety. They create an environment where refusing unsafe work is met with subtle threats and pressure, effectively pushing drivers to comply with dangerous conditions or feel they have no choice but to leave. Management seems either unaware of or indifferent to hours-of-service laws, routinely pushing drivers to exceed legal boundaries. The two individuals they are bringing in to replace current drivers have reputations for irresponsibility and a lack of professionalism--hardly inspiring confidence in their leadership decisions. Safety standards are appalling. We are forced to drive buses with bald tires, unreliable transmissions, and gears that slip. These conditions are dangerous enough, but in winter, on icy hills, the risk to passengers is unacceptable. One long-standing employee was entirely removed from the schedule simply because she couldn't chain up tires four times a night in freezing conditions, despite a perfectly functional shuttle option that was removed solely to appease the company contracting Diversified. To make matters worse, Jessica, a manager, has turned the workplace into her personal domain. She hires friends, all of whom seem more focused on power games and wasting money on hotels and drinks than addressing glaring safety issues or supporting the drivers. This lack of professionalism and neglect for basic safety has left good drivers jobless or forced out for not being willing to endanger themselves or passengers. The entire management approach here is reckless, selfish, and utterly indifferent to the well-being of the team and passengers alike.

I know first hand how frustrating their transport scheduling system is because when I was with my ex, he was injured and had to use Handi-Bus for awhile. Since then, I've had clients who use it. The fact that someone with a physical disability or cognitive challenges can safely get a ride somewhere in Calgary is awesome, but there are few positives beyond this. I won't explain the booking process, but good luck getting anywhere when you actually need or want to. A user is usually very early, can sometimes be late and getting picked up on time is like taking a shot in the dark. If the user can't read a book, operate a cell phone for calls or games or stay in a sheltered place while their patience is tested, they are often doomed for a long, miserable wait. I've seen it happen. Also, if you get dropped off somewhere and the circumstances are such that your plans have changed and you want or need to leave right away, good luck. You may be left there to wait for hours. The drop off and pick up time windows are huge. Think waiting for service from Telus. I am not exaggerating, my friends. I recognize that intentions are good and people donate hard earned money toward purchasing and operating a bus, but a serious overhaul would be required to make this a satisfactory service. I also acknowledge that there are some drivers and likely other employees that go out of their way to assist someone with an urgent matter, but this isn't enough to take the bad taste out of my mouth. It's a shame that the need is so great that people have to accept the status quo.
