If you deal with Equine Driven Carriage, then you will want to check out this home business on a…read morequiet side road in an Amish area. It is a nice drive. You pull up to a farm, drive toward the house and behind and to the side is the shop where the owners are available if the OPEN sign is out. Parking is in the gravel in front of the shop or across behind the barn. First, Equine sports tend to be either toward the "practical" people who have less money and do what they can OR "elite" types who have a lot of money to spend and project a need for the best. Again, it is kind of a 'leans' this way or 'leans' the other way. This shop is more for those who have "practical" needs. They have a shop full of leather, harness, tack and equipment to make or repair many items. If you need just a small item then you can call or pick up the item. You can also make a custom order for any harness. The owners were very friendly, once we began to discuss horse stuff. It is a crowded and working shop, so read not "fancy" but with high quality work. The owner told us he primarily caters to local Amish and does mail order work. TIP: CASH ONLY, No credit cards and only local checks or a check might be able to be used for a harness order that will ship after the check clears. They have a phone and fax. I didn't see any online presence, but they did come up when searching for horse harness equipment. We didn't know about the cash only (local area) and we had a modest $10 order. They initially were reluctant, but then cool, about accepting $5 cash and $5 out of state check. My cultural ignorance on the area. Anyway, I'm a fan and we will be contacting them if we have future needs with harnesses or parts.
