We got a few quotes from friends of friends and few contractors in the area but it was out of our price range. Right when I was going to take a loan out to hire of the previous contractors someone recommended these guys and Patrick was a delight. He was there the same day and gave us a reasonable price and really educated me on materials, and why things are done. I was very impressed at the professionalism, value, and quality work they do. Our bathroom went from 1970's "never been updated" to a "Modern Apartment" they even managed to fit a "His & Hers" sino. I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you again Hudson Point Builders!

In 2016, J&S did a lot of work at the rear of our house in Throgs Neck. Granite terrace,…read morestairway...and stucco. Two years later, the stucco was beginning to de-laminate in three spots. In the spring of 2020, when the stucco was looking really terrible (bubbles, peeling, falling off, etc...see photos for examples), we asked John to come by and take a look. Of the roughly 450 square feet of stucco applied, about half is showing severe bubbling and peeling now. HE TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY. It's water damage...that's not in dispute...but he blamed everything from the siding on the house to the stone terrace...which he installed. Since then, we've had two stucco experts inspect the damage, and they both immediately had the same verdict. The stucco was laid directly over the cinder block, with absolutely no water management / prevention in place. No mesh or styrofoam, no drip line cut into the granite lip above the stucco wall, nothing. Now we face a $4,000 repair job...for work done only FOUR years ago. Needless to say we'll be finding another company to do the work. In his online response, John will likely say that the vinyl siding of the house is causing water problems. So it's important to say here that NONE of the problem areas are anywhere near the siding. We're having water problems because, again, there was NO mesh or styrofoam placed between the cinder block and stucco, and there was no drip line added to the overhead granite lip...which they installed. NO EXCUSES. Avoid these guys, unless you want to pay twice.

Avoid at All Costs -- Dishonest, Lazy, and Unprofessional…read more Total Quality Homes epitomizes the saying, "you get what you pay for." He'll quote an economical price, but it will come at a hefty cost. Jerry Beke of Total Quality Homes cuts corners, makes avoidable mistakes, skimps on materials, and lacks professionalism with his constant condescending and rude tone. This economical option cost me more in frustration, wasted materials, and ultimately, money lost due to his dishonesty. Jerry overcharged me by $1,000 and refused to return the money. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST hiring him for any construction project. Jerry's work was rushed, sloppy, and riddled with avoidable mistakes. His inaccurate estimates and neglect to measure twice before cutting forced me to make multiple trips for materials. He didn't properly trowel adhesive on the backs of tiles, creating uneven joints and voids behind them because it "wastes material." He admitted he "hates grouting", which showed in the recessed, uneven grout lines that left tile edges exposed. The shower niche shelf wasn't pitched correctly, causing water to pool instead of drain. He botched the herringbone pattern and left jagged, unfinished tile edges. His careless work also damaged my hallway's parquet flooring. I've only scratched the surface, but plenty more examples exist that illustrate Jerry's version of 'quality.' Beyond the shoddy work, Jerry also overcharged me by $1,000 due to a miscalculation in his final invoice. I provided clear documentation of his mathematical error, requested a refund multiple times, and even gave him multiple chances to propose a reasonable repayment timeline. Instead, he refused to return the money. FINAL VERDICT: If you want a contractor who cuts corners, performs subpar work, makes your home reek of cigarettes, disrespects clients, and refuses to pay back money he wasn't owed, then Jerry Beke is your guy. Otherwise, stay far away from Total Quality Homes.

I would give them negative score if I could. Unprofessional. Rude. Do not know the work. We had an…read moreabsolute nightmare-ish experience with them. We met Mo and Sam Mahseri. Mo is an absolute foul mouth. Sam(Osama) Mahseri seems to be in the habit of threatening his customers when they don't pay $5000 more than the agreed contract. He literally called us and said "we will face consequences if we don't pay up (he was asking for $5000 above what was written in a signed contract). When we did not pay, they refused to give us the electric completion letter we needed to get clearance from the city hall!! Even the job they did were shoddy. The roof that they constructed needed to be rebuilt 5 times, because every time it rained, it would leak into our house. Electrical work was bad. We had to pay extra to hire another electrician to fix everything. DO NOT hire them for anything unless you want to go through an absolute nightmare experience and throw away money for shoddy jobs!! In response to the comment below by Osama, it is common sense that if our existing roof was damaged, we would have had leakage into our house every single time it rained in the last 10+ years! The leakage was from the point where they built the new roof attached to the existing one. Our problems with Mahseri started from the time they started digging our backyard for the foundation. Every single time the city inspector came and denied approval because they did not follow protocol. The new roof they built had to be rebuilt because they did not put the right incline on it. The city inspector denied it again. Then the beams they put were not the correct size so as per the inspector, that had to be redone again. And even though it was their mistake that they had to rectify, Mo came and charged us more money because of the extra expense they had to incur to fix their own fault!! And thank you Osama for proving just how unprofessional you and your company is with your comment below. Your own brother had told us and it was written by you in your contract and closing contract that no money or obligation verbal or non-written would be honored by either party. Yet, because of your incompetence, since you had to keep redoing the work, you incurred more expenses than anticipated, you thought it right to just come to our home and demand more money!! I did notice that you don't deny threatening my family with consequences if we don't pay whatever you ask for. When all else failed, they sent a letter to city hall claiming we got our remaining work done illegally without permit, which obviously caused some harassment for us. Mahseri just assumed that their letter would suffice to get us in trouble, not knowing that a licensed contractor was actually employed to finish the work Mahseri could not! Also, just to add humor to this already terrible situation, might I also add-your own brother Mo actually called my husband and said that he "needs that $5000 to spend on his honeymoon"!! THAT is the level of professionalism your company shows!

Frank answered my post and said that he would try to help; but that if it took him more than 5 minutes, he was not going to be able to help me and that I should contact Bose directly. When he got here, he pushed a button on the Bose receiver and a picture went on, but no sound.
