First thing, I was greeted welcomingly. First, a caa-uute little dog. Then by the instructor, who welcomed me and made me feel comfortable. The office has a homey feel to it, which I appreciated. She was great to drive with, there were only calm words and/or instructions. She helped me feel confident and that was very important to me. We did everything on the video. My dad was taking a test today. The women instructor (not sure about her name ) was amazing. She was very professional and personable. She went above and beyond and even learned some Russian words (my dad speaks Russian) to make him feel more comfortable. Prior to my dad taking a test, I called the office with a few questions I had, and the girl who answered the phone was extremely helpful and accommodating. This place is amazing, highly recommend! April the owner and her lovely daughter Emily were amazing!! they excel in customer service and make you feel like family. they have mastered the art of patience while instructing your child. very knowledgeable in their field of expertise! my daughter went and was able to get her test with them today on short notice- same day with no extra charge.... They were worth driving from tooele and them some I would recommend them for classes or driving test any time of day. I'm still in awe of their raving fans style of customer service. I actually went to another place the day after and the guy there was very helpful told me exactly what I needed to improve on and I passed the test. He went out of his way with his full schedule and tested me at five in the morning. But Drive right was exactly opposite. Seems like they have a system to pass and fail that's not based off of the driver. She told me I was a failure and that everything that I took to prepare for it was a scam and she said I failed horribly. She went on about the school I had and the parents I have and I felt so put out after it. Please do your research first, I made the mistake of not doing my homework. My son took his first test, and the female tester failed him. Her explanation: an incomplete parallel parking (she said it wasn't close enough to the curb and not straight enough), and she said he missed a few head checks. I didn't question anything, I just tried to understand what needed to be corrected and made sure to have him practice more. Side note: my son told me that her instructions during the test were confusing a few times. For instance, she asked him to turn right at the Stop sign. My son kept driving because there wasn't a Stop sign. Then she abruptly said, "HERE, turn right here". Well, she made a mistake, there wasn't a Stop sign, she acknowledged that, but caused even more stress to a situation that is already very stressful. Moving on, my son practiced a lot of the parallel parking and we also spent time reiterating the need to not miss any head checks. Went for his second test, this time with the male tester. When they came back, he took us to a private room to discuss the results. He initiated by saying that my son didn't miss any signals, had a perfect parallel parking, and perfect maneuvering, however he proceeded to say that he missed a few head checks. The tester started to draw in the pink paper and explain the very unclear reasons for failing my son's test. I had to ask him to clarify what he meant a few times, because even I couldn't understand what the infractions were. One of them was a "missed" head check on a U turn that made absolutely no sense, and I still do not understand it. It felt like the goal was to confuse us, which he did very successfully. I expressed that I was very surprised that he "missed" so many head checks, enough to fail the test, and I asked if the students are supposed to exaggerate them. I've been driving with my son daily for several months, and he does proper head checks. I started paying even more attention after his failing of the first test. He was clearly bothered by my questioning. First he said no, you just need to glance (which my son definitely does), then he said, yes you need to exaggerate the head check for the test. The biggest revelation: Once he realized that it was my son's "second" test, he was uncomfortable. His tone changed and he told us that we should've brought the pink paper from the first test. It was very obvious to me, they will fail most teenagers on their first tests, they will likely pass the second "if" you let them know it is a retake. One of the reviews I read today stated that they alleged fail 6 out of 7. I can't confirm this information but it makes sense to me. While we were waiting 45 minutes past my son's appointment time to get his first test, I noticed several people failing, and that was also their explanation for being so late for his test. They definitely have a financial incentive to fail tests. read more

I failed my first test due to head checks and I am 19 and didn't take drivers ed in highschool. The driving instructor was great at preparing me for how to pass the next time(wich I did) she gave me a video to watch that went over everything on the test went from -54 points to -4 definitely recommend this place for everyone who is ready for there road test. Also, I am slightly concerned about the lack of information given on the company online. Might I suggest investing in a more dedicated site so that users have more availability for scheduling, thus increasing your business potential? The driving test lady is so rude and went on and on abt her personal life in the car. I failed for no headchecks but I remember doing on every single turn and every time I pull in or away from a curb. Buyer beware the guy that does the testing is totally creepy he was constantly saying oh I know your nervous ((um wasn't nervous)) he only passes girls he finds attractive and able to flirt with that flirts back with him ((((gross!!!))). I had a terrible experience at the drivers license division. I headed home with my son feeling very defeated after not being allowed to do his road test due to a delay in the paperwork by his third party driving company. (I fixed the problem within minutes but the DLD didn't care.) I tried calling Drive Right to see if by any chance they would have an appt today for a road test. It was my sons birthday and he was hoping to complete the test today. Drive Right was booked solid to the end of the day but they encouraged me to drive over in case someone no-showed. The next appts arrived on time, but it didn't matter. The young lady at the front desk specially asked one of the instructors if they would be willing to work after their shift to get my son in. I was amazed that this man, which I later found out was the front desks father, was more then willing to take my son on a drive. Wow. Just wow. My son is so shy and nervous and his instructor was kind and funny and put him completely at ease. His instructor also went out of his way to compliment me on such a nice son with great driving skills. We kept them so late after their business had already closed and they never seemed to care. So wonderful!!! Honestly I never knew this kind of customer service existed. I will be bringing my other children here for road tests and will recommend to all my friends. Thank you Drive Right!!! I feel like this place is a bit of a scam. You'll pass the driver's exam, but only it you take it twice. It's nice that you don't have to wait to take the test at the DMV, but expect to pay a lot. I don't know anyone who has came here and passed on their first try. Maybe find somewhere else if you can? Also, it's weird that they sell crystals and jewlery stuff inside the waiting area considering that it's a place where you're supposed to test. read more

And I know everyone's opinions are their own. But listen, this place is amazing!! They are friendly, to the point, and very understanding. I suffer with anxiety and I felt nothing but confidence and comfort being greeted by an awesome gentleman when I went in today to take my driving test and I passed! Rick and April are extremely nice and the whole process is very simple and fast. I don't know what the bad reviews are about. My guess is that those people were just bitter about not passing. I have never had a bad experience with this company. My entire family has tested here with exceptional results every time. It makes me think when people can't drive well enough to pass a driving test, they want to take it out business instead of taking responsibility for themselves. It doesn't look like much when you walk by, but trust me. THIS WILL BE YOUR BEST DECISION YET! I recently just came and got my drivers Test done and what an experience. I was already nervous as hell to fail because I literally just spend my last 40$ To take this test. But also I needed my license done ASAP because I had a job lined up that I could start as soon as I got my license done. And if I failed I wouldn't have been able to take the test till LATE MARCH, with the state. (Yes I could've just paid to take the test again but my bank account said hell no) not only was the instructor complete transparent about what he expected and just spent time getting to know me to ease the tension. He was so friendly It was like driving with my grandfather or dad. The two instructors working are just amazing. They both are very friendly and they really do follow they're motto "after you step in these doors your family, it's our job to teach you how to drive not hope you did your homework" that mentality is what's missing in drivers ed and most state run operations. I remember my first time taking my drivers test and I will never ever go back to the state run programs unless I absolutely have too! I had a great time there the instructor I got made me feel comfortable and at ease about the stressful test! Not a driving school, but a driving test center. No appointments taken. Just walk in with $40 and the learner's permit. April and Rick are both really nice, putting the testee at ease. They are also very thorough. My son took his test here a couple of weeks ago, and I was pleased and impressed. Why wait on the DLD's month long waiting list to take the test? I had a wonderful experience during my road test at Drive Right. They are open from 10-6 on Mon-Fri and Saturdays by appointment. I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday, which worked out for me. The test costs $40. If paying by card, a tax of $2.92 is also charged. Rick was my instructor during the test. He was very thorough, but also very patient. Before the test he explained all the maneuvers that I would be tested on (parallel parking, uphill / downhill parking, lane changes, right and left turns, u-turn, 3-point turn, straight line backing). After the test he also explained the areas where I needed improvement. I recommend this place for road tests! read more

Don't go to this place, the old woman is a nasty individual that will berate your kid and tell them they are stupid and have no common sense, even though she's an honor student at her school. My daughter was in tears in the car afterward. Great way to encourage kids to feel less competent for the next one. From reading the reviews they should be out of business. Mean woman!!! read more
