They were also so kind to provide us with a churro sample while ours were cooking. It was fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. However, when we took our churros back to the car to eat, we were disappointed to find that they were raw primarily inside. They were crispy on the outside, but incredibly doughy in the middle, which was a big letdown. I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for them to be cooked properly, especially since it wasn't hectic and they didn't seem rushed. We're definitely going to give them another try, because anyone can have an off day, and we're hoping it was just that, since it's always such a treat to enjoy fresh churros. Hopefully, the next churros experience will be different since we're big fans of churros in this house. They also had a variety of other delicious desserts on their menu, which we might try next time, in addition to the churros.

ME LOVE HER! ME LOVE HER (foot-)LONG TIME!…read more SIT-REP (Situation Report) It's great to have a great hot dog stand only 2 blocks North of my office-site! THE SET-UP AND THE FARE In fact, this is the first prong in my ritual walk: after I grab some peanuts in the shell, I get the hot dog (usually Seattle style with Cream Cheese or German style with Kraut), and walk to Capitol Park, and find on of my favorite park benches on the Southwest Quadrant of the park. And as I munch on my hot dog, I am approached by a surly group of squirrels, led by Chip & Dale, who look at my plaintively, eyeing the little pile of peanut shells on the bench next to me. I make a few teasing feints of peanut throws, but then follow through. It's amazing to watch the little tussles between the fluffy-tailed rodents - it's amazing to imagine squirrels WITHOUT tails and what handsome rats they would make. I also imagine how this scenario would be dramatically different if my pocket-Panthers JACK & BOBBY were there with me, watching these events. Would my cats think I lost it? Would they feel betrayed? Actually, I think they'd ridicule me because that's the kind of basterds my cats are (since these are the same two that disect mice, rats and birds in front of me as we go on our walks). THE LOWDOWN But I think I've wandered off the reservation and have gotten away from talking about DOGS. These are some good DOGS! YUMMM!

Service was fast;however, I was surprised by the price of $33 for 1 pastor burrito, 1 pastor vampirio and 3 tacos. One of my gripe is if a place doesn't list their prices so I'm basing off my knowledges from previous reviews and I had assumed the tacos would be $3 each. But onto the food: Asada taco: beef, chewy and tough but substantial Pastor taco + pastor burrito: the best cut of meat. It was hot when I got it and it was very good. Well marinated. Pollo taco: you can probably skip this, the chicken is a little bit plain and dry Vampirio: similar to a tiny quesadilla. Two crispy tortillas with cheese + meat sandwich in between Overall the place is decent if you're getting the pastor meat. I do like the self service but I wish the price of the items were more transparent
