There were 5 people working and chair up with a regular customer while they prepared his to go order. We were asked to wait for the "cutter" and he came up less than a minute later. At this point we had been standing in a nearly empty restaurant for 4-5 minutes. So we just left. I wish I could be here commenting on the food. But no luck.

Laid back and great music playing. Indoor and outdoor seating. The food was once again delicious and our family was very impressed. 2 of us had the Spicy BLT which is my favorite. Wings were a big hit. The Grandslam Burger was gigantic. Really the BLT and burger could be split between 2 people unless you are starving. I prefer the onion rings over fries but both are great. Ordered the sampler to get an idea of what they do. The ribs would be the only thing I'd recommend. They were good and the spicy bbq is good. The brisket was ok. Tougher than I like. The sausage is good. The pulled pork was dry and not much flavor. Shame as they put so much in there. The ribs go quick as I was there at opening and they only had 3 racks left as they have a sign saying so. Hence just get ribs. For sides, I enjoyed the beans and the potato salad. Lots of flavor and sweetness on the beans. The salad was like a twice cooked potato. The grandma slaw would skip. Surprisingly for all that food the price is very reasonable! We fed 2 kids and 2 adults and was plenty left over.

The surprise win was the fried shrimp were actually really good just too salty. And this is coming from a Cajun. But good job I'd actually rate it pretty close to flavor we get back home! The siracha fries were savory and spicy and all the things nice :) glad I didn't skip that as it helped me power through the burger. The cinnamon bread was just not exciting and tough. Allie greeted me almost immediately and got me seated and set up with a sweet tea and a menu. She returned just a few minutes later and answered all the questions that I had about the menu - which were many - because there's quite a selection to be had here. I finally settled on the Gouda burger with crispy bacon on a lightly toasted, brioche bun and all the fixings. I upgraded my Fries to beer batter onion rings, and boy was that NOT a mistake. Onion rings were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, with a little bit of that tangy beer batter flavor. The burger was piled high with tart, crunchy pickles, crisp lettuce, and a big tomato wedge that was perfectly ripe. Rounding up the presentation was some of the crispies, most perfectly cooked bacon. I've seen in a while and a nice wedge of Gouda cheese, melting, and oozing over it all. On the first bite, you could tell this was definitely chargrilled and done right. The beef was cooked through, but not dried out and the whole thing was a big juicy delicious pile of goodness. My waitress, Allie, was Jonny on the spot with everything. Sort of like the butler from Mr. Deeds; anytime you would start to think about needing something, she would magically appear and practically read your mind, bringing you exactly what you wanted. I was shocked to discover she's fairly new here because she's really good at her job and seems to fit right in. Overall, I'd give the burger and 9.5 out of a 10. It might be able to use just a tad bit of more seasoning. I'd give Allie an 11 out of 10 because she really went above and beyond not just for me, but her service was so good, I actually watched her with the other patrons and she was all over it like a bad topure on Howard Cosell, only in a good

It's the kind of place you could and would want to be a regular at if you lived nearby. I want to be a regular, and I live 500 miles away. But you can bet when I'm heading that way, I'm stopping in again. I had skipped lunch and was really hungry, but didn't want to get something real heavy either, and I though I had "sort of" done that. I was totaly wrong. Blue Crab Ravioli in an artichoke/spinache alfredo sauce, topped with toasted/roasted mozzarella... I know what you're thinking, cream sauce and cheese? How is that light you knucklehead? Well, I was thinking that ravioli, usually served with 4-6 pieces would be just drizzled in this topping. NOPE. Scalding hot cast iron skillet loaded with ravioli, in that heavy, cheese/cream sauce. But here's how good it was. I took half to go, and had 1/4 of that when I got home 2 days later (always carry a cooler bag kids...) Then I had the remainder for lunch one day. Best ravioli I've ever had, and I want to be Italian and have had a lot of pasta in my life. I sat at the bar, and when people sat down around me, we all started talking. It's that kind of place. It's also dark, dank, gritty, and it's character shows in every space. Did I mention the great tunes? Yep... music right up my alley. Food, drinks, music, vibes... Yeah, 10 - 10 would go back again. And again.
