Most of the fabrics were modal blends and linen. The prints were lovely. I tried on and purchased a beautiful purple print swing dress. It is pretty and comfortable. I asked if it is ever possible to have an item you love made in another fabric or if a different size can be made. The answer was yes--they can do the custom orders. The quality, service, and value are all there. Instead of mass-produced fast fashion, you can get locally-made fun clothes right on Maui. I look forward to visiting again and again.

They're so so kind. I was excited to visit the storefront and was not disappointed. There's lots of parking, the store is open and bright. There's a clearance section, but I love that it appears to also house the patterns for the clothes! When I was shopping, I'm pretty sure the owner was also cutting fabric. So cool to see the clothes being made! I tried on a dress, which the owner pointed out was a little shorter than the others. She offered to make another one if I wanted a longer length. I thought that was such a nice gesture!

IMHO Eight months…read moreago while visiting Makawao, I found the perfect travel purse. Stupid me left the store without it, and I've been thinking about it ever since! Fortunately I have good visual memory and despite the fact that I didn't remember its name, I knew exactly where this store was located. This was confirmed when I saw the name "Baggallini" stenciled on the store window! I walked in with my friend, scanned the shelves, and voila, picked up the only two Baggallini hobo bags there, in grey and black. Jennie, the lovely sales associate encouraged me to try it out, so I placed my current purses' contents inside and modeled the crossbody. I chose the grey with the beautiful pink inner lining! My darling friend opted for the black purse, and then gifted me my grey one! Tip: Always shop with your best friends! Customer service was exemplary (thank you Jennie and Joanne) which enhanced our shopping experience! Collections sells tons more than just cool travel bags. Stop in and I'm sure you won't leave empty-handed!

It is here that I discovered the designer Joseph Ribkoff from Canada. The shop carries a wide variety of his pieces and I'm always successful finding something. The shop is lovely, with a great inventory of clothing and accessories. It's worth the trip to this little town to shop and have lunch.

The puppets and clothing are all locally made and we ended up getting a sea turtle puppet and a Hawaiian shirt for our grandson. The owner of the store was there and we ended up chatting for quite a while about the town, the stores and the people that live there. The town is a fun little place to visit with great shops, good food and a slow place. Stop and check it out.

When you enter you might want to turn around and leave when you see all the racks with boxes but continue on. The craft area is loaded with all kinds of fabric, beads, stamps and more. There is also a large kids area that is well organized. I ran out of time but the adult clothing was downstairs with much of it $1. Lots to see and purchase at great prices. My only contacts with staff was in the craft area (enjoyed talking to her) and the checkout lady. Both very friendly and helpful. Lots of parking. Well worth the time.
