The cases weren't fully stocked yet, which makes sense that early -- a few trays were still being brought out from the back. What was there looked legitimately fresh, with that telltale steam still rising off some of the items. The staff (two ladies behind the counter) greeted me with actual smiles and a cheerful "good morning," which instantly put me in a better mood. Service was lightning-fast too; I was in and out in under four minutes. I went with the spinach and cheese pie because it looked the most tempting at that hour. First bite: the crust is the real star here -- unmistakably handmade, flaky on the outside, tender inside, with that perfect golden color and slight buttery taste. You can tell they're not cutting corners on dough. The filling was hot, the spinach tasted fresh rather than frozen, and there was a decent amount of seasoning.
