Bon Fire Pits

I stayed here 2 nights with my mother & sister for a short Spring Break girls trip. The hotel and room were very modern, clean and comfortable. All the hotel staff I interacted with were all so kind and welcoming. We enjoyed hanging out at the pool, I was vibing to the music they have playing and I loved that they had bon fire pits to use as well. The location is perfect, right in Downtown. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Final price for one night (with fees)

If I could give negative stars I would. While there is nothing wrong with the hotel itself the billing though is insane. We booked a 2bd 2 bath room directly through their website and was quoted a price for their Black Friday special that was under 400 (30% off supposedly). When I got the confirmation email the price of the room was now $426.30 on one line and then $466 on another line that somehow said that price was still excluding taxes and fees?? (See attached pictures ) Then when we looked at our credit card bill the total was $525 ?? Yes, that is for one night on their Black Friday sale. When I called customer service (which had the line cut off twice until someone was able to call me back) I was told there the $525 total was because of resort fees and taxes on top of those two confusing totals? Yeah buyer beware. If you're booking through their website and get a confirmation amount chances are you're gonna get charged an even higher amount. This is no better than an Airbnb , and with their billing this as bad if not worst. Oh btw, yoga is only Saturday mornings, so you're not gonna get in on a yoga class unless you stayed on Friday and Saturday , but that's not clearly stated on their website either.

I had a mini staycation for my birthday, which also happened to be 4th of July weekend! I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Everything from beginning to end was five stars! The four bedroom suite was the perfect accommodation for my party of 8. Valerie checking us in, and Lisa hustling at the cabanas! Thank you so much!

Hosted my 40th Birthday at Drift with 30 of my friends from LA and had the absolute best experience. The Drift team was professional and responsive, they worked with me on budget for two catered events and gave me a great room rate for all of my guests. Dinner on the patio and brunch in their event space were both fantastic. The food and cocktails were delicious. I am so happy that I chose Drift and am excited to return to the property again for a relaxing weekend by the pool.

Wonderful property! It's new to PS and what a great addition. I booked the 4-bedroom suite for my birthday with some friends and had the most splendid time. It's a little pricey if you're not in a group and everything is done with AI from check-in to check-out. I would absolutely book again and think I might in a few months! P.s. It is NOT a full kitchen like advertised, only a stove, a toaster oven, dishwasher & fridge.

I came with my friend after finding it on a Travelzoo deal. We opted to park across the street to skip valet. Very interesting system of checking in and out through an AI. I love the aesthetic of the hotel, very minimalist. We had happy hour at the attached restaurant which was also excellent. The pool was great as well. I loved having my own room and my friend having her own room as well.

Stayed here for my 30th birthday over the weekend. Everything is super clean, well taken care of and so so cute. We usually stay at Arrive, which we love, but wanted to try something different. There were 2 things that were really important to me this weekend and it was a bar and music by the pool. When I called to confirm they had these two amenities, they said they had a DJ on Saturdays. The DJ played nothing but cumbia. For hours. I know the hotel isn't a party hotel and has guests of all ages, but at least play something a little more upbeat. ESPECIALLY when multiple people asked the DJ, the concierge service and waiters by the pool to switch it up. There was literally a dude twerking to try and to get him to change the music. DJ never switched it up. I may come back, may not. I love staying at Arrive because they're super fun but also mellow at times. I think alot of the Palm Springs hotels strive to create a fun upbeat environment when they say they're going to have a DJ. Hopefully this one can do that too in the future!

We need more COOL HOTELS in Palm Springs. This is one of them. Drift Palm Springs just opened their doors a few months ago... like maybe 3 months ago.. its April 15, 2023 today... so lets say the beginning of January... end of December. According to the people I spoke with at the bar, The hotel's owner, a young entrepreneur named Max, had a clear vision for the Drift Hotel. He wanted to create a destination that combined the glamour and sophistication of mid-century modern design with the laid-back, eco-conscious lifestyle that Palm Springs was known for. Each room features a king-sized bed with high-quality linens, a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge stocked with local snacks and drinks, and an en-suite bathroom with luxurious toiletries. There are a lot of things about this hotel that kind of reminds me of Sonder. When you park your car and walk in... there is a definite casualness to everything inside.. the check-in area is right next to the bar area and if you didn't look carefully you will miss it. There is a indoor/outdoor free flow between the checkin/lobby/bar area and the pool and the rest of the complex. I haven't been inside any of the rooms yet but from what I hear they are pretty minimalist. The food menu is another discussion entirely. A half roasted chicken under "entrees for sharing"... is pretty pricey... pricier than the most expensive restaurants. So... the jury is out.. as far as what I truly think of this hotel. I'm just glad there is another New & Cool place to hang out in Palm Springs!

The pool was filled with cloudy bluish green water... I reported this to management on the second day, they followed up with I'm sorry, I would be disappointed as well, and that they will have their pool and maintenance team on it right away... That was just something to say try to make me feel better, never once during our stay did pool maintenance or pool cleaning company come and test the water or try or attempt to clean the pool or Hot Tub. The whole idea was to get away from the busy world and to come out to Palmsprings to soak in the pool and Hot Tub was a complete failure... Although our check-in process with Paulina was pleasant, the management and the ownership completely dropped the ball, and clearly showed that they do not care about the cleanliness of the pool, I am confident that if sanitary testing measures were taken, the pool would be shut down due to the filthy nature of the water and disgusting body scum ring. There are 1 vending machine only had Diet Coke left, and the snacks were stale. I would not recommend the dunes.

The extra rolls under the sink were unwrapped. When coming to our room a few hours after check in, calling customer service (calling three times) took more than an hour, just for us to be told that the lighting and cleanliness issues will be solved in the morning. Was really looking forward to the experience but upon our first few hours, we felt unwelcome, uncomfortable and turned off of our whole stay. Especially when faced with the lack of cleanliness in the restroom, if our bathtub could be so apparently dirty, what else could they have missed? We were forced to spend the first few hours fixing up our room before starting to feel comfortable. This meant scrubbing the bathtub, washing every dish and checking every surface. With the lengthy and detailed check in process, we were really expecting a quality, travel worthy experience. Instead, it felt we were greeted with an unclean, uncomfortable welcome. As guests, it was made obvious to us that customer service was not at the forefront of our experience. Having decentralized customer service (through phone numbers and apps) made us feel so unattached from the actual experience.

I was a little scared when I read that most of the recent reviews were negative. I was thinking "oh no! What did I get us into." This place is a blast from the past. They play 1950s music all day on speakers throughout the complex, it creates that vintage feel but can get repetitive after a few days. Lounge with tables, board games, travel brochures, couches, fire place, coffee and tea, and industrial kitchen for use during your stay. The pool is small but has a deep end 8ft which is nice. There are pool noodles and some tubes to use. The hot tub is spacious and powerful jets. We stayed in the Hawaiian surf room, loved the theme it was so cute and felt like a tropical getaway. The shower is small but functional. Good AC unit with a remote control and ceiling fan. Surfboard coffee table and wicker love seat add to the tropical feel. Overall this was a nice private getaway. You can be left alone to relax! If you need anything you can text the hotel and someone replies super quick in my experience. The hotel feels very secure with codes needed to enter the complex and security cameras at the entrance and surrounding the complex. (Probably for management to check and make sure everything is running smoothly). I would stay here again in a heartbeat and I have stayed at a few different boutique hotels in the area. This would be a top choice! Please realize this is an older complex and it does show some wear and tear but come on the building is probably 100 years old or somewhere close to that. If you are expecting a sterile, high end, resort feel for your stay this is not your place... but otherwise this is a great choice! I couldn't help but feel bad for the owners with all of the really bad reviews on here because that was truly not my experience. I left off one star because there are definitely areas of improvement that could be made but not enough to ruin my experience.
