The bar itself is very warmly lit and seems quietly intimate. Great place for a date though, in this case, we had our kids with us. Over all, the food and the service were excellent. The menu had a wide selection that would likely suit anyone's needs. We had a variety of food but I would say the stand out were the buffalo wings. As an American I can be fairly particular about my wings and I would put these up against most that I've had at home. Really, the only concern that I had was that about a half hour into dinner a group of rowdy girls were seated next to us. They were obviously out for a night on the town and I don't know that I would have sat them next to a family with small children... But again, I'm not sure that it could've been avoided. Tracys Bar was that first pub that we frequented on the corner of Waterloo Place and Waterloo Street -- located at the bottom of a steep hill that begins the latter. The stay was certainly a good one as we went into the traditional pub and enjoyed some drinks. While we only stayed for one drink, we enjoyed ourselves in one of the booths by the front door with the bar right across from us. Sipping on a pour of The Quiet Man Irish Whiskey, I felt very at ease and relaxed and could have probably stayed for a little longer, but there were other pubs we wanted to check out. We will definitely return when we are back in Derry.

I was told this spot is always crowded during lunch. Decor is modern with clean lines. I had the battered cod with mushy peas. Everyone's dish looked good. Price is reasonable for the atmosphere. I definitely want to return here before I go back to the States. I want to try some of the beers they had on display that I've never seen.
