Dress 2 Kill was initially recommended to me by a friend who was getting married, and as the suits looked really smart and of good quality on his wedding day, I decided to purchase my work suit(s) from here.
Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly faces and offered a beverage of my choice. As I awaited to be seen, I was sat surrounded by impressive; suits (casual, formal, dinner), jackets, gilets which ranged from elegant and sophisticated, to wacky quirky and cool.
Once my consultation began, I gave the tailor a brief on my preference and the occasions the suit was required for. I opted for a charcoal grey double-breasted suit with thick pin-stripe (risky and out-there I know). I was also advised on the best shirt and tie combinations that would best compliment the suit which i really appreciated as i was stepping into unknown territory opting for a suit of this nature.
When I returned for my first fitting, around 4 weeks post-measure, I was greeted by my name which I really appreciated and it felt very personal and not like i was just 'another customer'. When I tried the suit on, I felt that it fit perfectly and looked impressive, however the tailor examined every aspect of it and deemed that it could be altered further in ways and average Joe would not quite understand. But his honesty and expertise was acknowledged. I would have easily left that day with my suit and money paid with no qualms, however the tailor was keen to perfect what i deemed to be already be perfection so I happily obliged. And within a week I picked up my suit and left very satisfied of the service received and the quality of product. The cost of the suit offered great value for money, with the price within 10% tolerance of high-street shops, however I had a tailor made suit to show for my money.
2 months on, and my best mate decided to get married. He had a rough idea of the style of suits preferred for the big-day but was open to suggestions. I suggested Dress 2 Kill to him. We booked a consultation, and was running through options and idea's for around an hour. The head tailor was brutally honest with some suggestions put forward by the groom-to-be. But this was what was needed having never been in this situation before. A classy dark blue 3-piece dinner suit with; u-shaped waistcoat, and satin lapels and trimmings and matching bow-tiewas opted for. Also, a champagne coloured lining was designed in, to align with the colour scheme of the wedding.
We staggered our fittings fortnightly leading up to the wedding to ensure the suits fitted perfectly. At no point was this seen as a chore or a nuisance, and each time was a pleasant, and friendly experience. Suggestions such as; coloured flowers and pocket squares were made by the tailor in colours matching the wedding theme. This was received positively by the groom as accessories was not something originally considered.
All-in-all, I cannot speak highly enough of Dress 2 Kill from the service to the value for money. Highly Recommended.
