Finally got a chance to eat in today. Bumbed out it was Sunday brunch menu. That's ok…read more Had the potato soup, fritters and pizza. As far as drinks we had bloody Mary's, Blood Pressure, Apple Cider on the rocks, After School Special and Copper Buck. Has a nice time and enjoyed everything.

A hidden gem with history, charm, and seriously good spirits…read more This was my 4th or 5th visit, and it just keeps getting better. The distillery is tucked inside a beautifully restored buggy whip and women's corset factory--how's that for character? The space is not only unique but also a fantastic spot for drinks, tastings, and good company. I've done the full tour and tasting, and I always recommend starting with a flight to really appreciate the range. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to make recommendations or answer questions. You can tell they love what they do. I usually grab a bottle of the OCG, but this time I went for the Cherry Ol' Fashioned--and wow. Perfectly balanced, served with proper large-format ice cubes (yes, that matters), and just the right amount of cherry goodness. Prices are very reasonable, whether you're sipping at the bar or taking a bottle home. If you're anywhere nearby--or even just passing through--this place is absolutely worth the detour. Only 5 minutes off the highway, and totally worth it.

Avoid this place if you are searching for a reliable, open establishment…read more This is my 5th time trying to visit this place with a gift card I ordered 2 years ago. I call beforehand, look online, check their socials, and still they randomly are never open. I'm starting to wonder if it is a scam, and hope to get a refund on the giftcard I ordered for my dad and I. I understand things happen with being a family run operation, but frankly it comes off as unorganized & unprofessional. Other vendors and small business owners could be using this space in Michigan City, and it is rather a waste when others could be supporting the community on a more frequent, dependable basis. Please offer more transparency on this lack of consistency & remove the listed "business hours" entirely from both your website and Google maps when they are fairly often not honored. Wanted to support local and regret it due to the flexibility in their standard operating hours. For the goodness of your brand, and just state your hours are "open when we feel like it". Note: I took this photo while outside their door, with no note on it, no word or highlight on their website, Instagram, or Facebook mentioning a last minute closing on Saturday 10/19/24, around ~5:30pm. Thanks!

I rated this place 5 stars when it first opened. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now. The owners attitude toward certain customers is sad.

$5 and you get to keep the glass (which is perfect for Champagne), taste 5 wines and/or Champagne,…read moreand 1 dessert wine. Initially I had planned on tasting and dashing but the woman working was so freaking cool that i just had to reach into my pocket. She knew everything there was to know about the wine from both wineries that they feature. I tried all the bubbly options, some red, some white, and one apricot wine that is a bit sweeter- not dessert sweet, just fruit sweet BUT, here's the kicker, they keep it heated in a crock pot with cider spices like cinnamon, dried orange, cloves, etc... it was amazing! How have I not thought of this before? Of course I should heat up wine with spices instead of actual cider for the holidays! Anyway, the taste and dash didn't happen. I ended up getting 6 bottles and some spices and left with a big ole smile. I will SO be back before X-mas... maybe even a little stop before Thanksgiving too. Just to get a little something to take the edge off, ya know?

When they say "free" they mean it's $8 for the tasting. Yes, you get to keep the glass, but…read morereally, do I want it? And while I do find that off-putting I just really can't complain. Of the four vinyards I visited today, this had my two favorite wines; the Zinfandel at $19.99 and the Rosso for $13.99. Yes, I took two bottles home with me as well as the Mezzo which had a fresh peachy apple taste and only $11.99. Now the Apple Brandy was terrible. Way, way, way too much bite - is that fire coming out my mouth? Yuk! My husband had to finish it for me. His Michigan Brandy was much, much, much smoother. I will give her one thing. I wanted to start with this and she said not to. Thank goodness, because it took a full 20 minutes for my taste buds to recover. So while the $8 fee was the highest amount I have ever been asked to pay for a tasting of any winery I have ever been to, I did really love the Zin, Rosso and Mezzo. And for buying three bottles, I received $5 off. Which ain't bad. The room itself is also nice and big with lots of windows, not claustrophobic like some. When doing an afternoon of wine tasting in Harbor County I recomend starting at Lemon Creek, cross the street to Domaine Berrien, then around the corner to Free Run, down the road to Tabor Hill and back toward the lake at Round Barn. But make sure you eat something along the way. And if you still have the stamina, just before getting back on 94, try Hickory Creek which I always tucker out before I get to, but some day I will make it there. I'll have to start there first next time and do it backwards.
